CD won't eject

2012 SH-AWD with Tech Package. Our son got a little carried away and stuffed a couple of CDs into the cd player and now the darn thing is jammed. There are error messages that pop up stating the obvious that CD player is jammed (I'm paraphrasing).

My question, is there a way to get the cd player out myself or do I need to take it to a dealership/car audio shop to get that fixed?

Yes, I know. I guess I didn't phrase my question clearly.

Is opening up the radio an easy thing to do on these vehicles? I've installed radios on other cars before, but this is by far the fanciest console I've ever owned. So is it best to take it to a professional or is it easy enough to DIY?

Here's a video showing how to get to the radio and remove it:

It definitely helps with getting the head unit out. I would just have to figure out how to get the cds out.

Also, my son would love me big time if I installed this in my wife's car!

I have a base model radio and here's what it looks like without the face on. Taking off the face is pretty easy. I think there's like 4-6 screws that holds the board and faceplate to the radio. It's on the sides, top and bottom of the faceplate. Once those screws are remove, you can just pull off the faceplate. The board, buttons and knobs are all attached to the faceplate.

found some pictures of the navigation unit. If you look on the bottom of the first picture, you'll see that little small screw. There's like 4 or 6 of those around it. You'll see more once you take out the climate control buttons. If I remember right, once the screws are taken out, you pull from the bottom to pop it loose.

Thanks! I'm assuming once I have the face removed it should be easy to remove the stuck CDs?

yeah it should be. The CD player cover insides looks to be held on with a few screws.

You can also try using a piece of tape to catch the second CD and pull it out. Use electrical tape or something that won't break easily, Stick in in the slot and use a popsicle stick or credit card to try to stick it to the CD. Then use the tape to try to pull the extra CD out.
