Hello I am inheriting a 2009 Acura TL with Nav (electronics package) and it only has 47K miles, So I am very happy to be getting this vehicle. I plan on doing a factory restore rest to the stereo and navigation to remove all of the contacts and other stuff that has been added, I saw some books on the HD and want all that crap gone.

After I do all of that is there some upgrade I can get from Acura to change from the archaic old menu styles into a newer style?

I know in 2009 this technology package was the thing to get but my 2012 Prius V stereo system touchscreen is was more intuitive than this old clunky thing with the giant wheel in the center of it all.

I have seen the videos on yourtube on adding apply car play or android auto to even phone mirroring, but I don't want to do all of that, I just want to upgrade the menu system.

Probably 99% of the time I will be listening to music via my phone and bluetooth, which I already know how to do. But I would like the maps to be updated also. Can I go to Acura and have them update all the maps systems?

It's $150/200 for the updated map. You won't like it... you can't change the underlying technology.
Get a good phone mount and use Waze.

Thanks. I think Ive decided not to do anything. I will zoom the map out so it doesn't bother me and just use my cell phone like I do now.

It's a great car that I'll be able to drive for many years to come so Im happy.

I Do like the pic's of the touch screen replacement stero's I see but Im not a DIY kinda guy so I'd have to take it to someone who has done it before and could do it for me, but that would probably be pricey.
