pic from car and driver, the newest issue. i'm trying my damndest to find some real pics, just no luck. but now that the cat's out of the bag, i'm guessing acura has to start releasing more photos and some good ones that show the entire car. i just don't know...i'm not feeling this one like i did the 3g...i may hold on to mine for a while.

That pic is not the 09 TL. There will be 2 options. 3.5 FWD and 3.7 SH-AWD.

It doesnt grab me at all. It looks like a slightly bigger TSX. Ill keep my 08 type s.

BTW....for all we know this might be some photoshopped speculatory version from C&D.

That pic is just something that someone made up. We've all seen a million photoshops on here. This is not a pic of a real car and certainly not something that Acura released to anyone. Just magazines trying to sell more copies.

The info on the 2 different versions that I mentioned, 3.5 FWD and 3.7 SH-AWD, came from a very reliable source within Acura. I'm not going to mention his name or position as he is on here now and then.

I have not seen the TL personally, but as others mentioned, it was shown to the dealers at their meeting in New Orleans. I showed the pic that was posted to the owner of our dealership. (yes he saw the car in New Orleans) He said this looks nothing like the car that was there.

i hope you are correct about that not being the real '09 TL, but i have to be honest...it looks exactly what i expected it to look like. accord chassis and body, accord tail lights, TSX/MDX grill, accord looking rims...what made the 3g so great (not looking like anything else out there) seems to be gone. but again, let's hope this is some dumb artist's impression and the real TL blows us all away.

if that is indeed the 09 TL, it's ugly with that ugly grille. plus, it just looks like the TSX just with different rims. Sorry, but i expect Acura sales to tank just a little with the new TSX, new TL, and the MMC RL due to that grill.

Look at this pic and then look at the 09 TSX pics. Don't they look insanely similar? It might be the angle, but doesn't it also appear to have staggered wheel sizes front and back? Do you really think Honda would ever do that? Again, don't get too worked up over this picture. They (the mags) do this all the time and it's obviously working. It got people talking all over the net and directed people to their mags or websites.

If that is actually the new TL, Acura has now failed on all fronts with their new models. (Short of the MDX)

They made it easy for me next go around, bye bye Acura at the next purchase.

i'm actually feeling this. if the new TSX had large wheels like the illustrated 09 TL, then i think the new TSX would work on the design level as well. thumbs up from me.

All I know is that grill is the mirror of the TSX and RL now, and the scoop at the bottom as stated looksing liek a smiling face. the 3G grill especailly Type-S is awesome. Also I drove an 09 TSX last night and I'll say this, ovaerall nice car and improvments over the previous one, BUT the damn dash with the cheapy psuedo I Drive and the number of buttons and their placement kills it for me. The new Accord , TSX and I assume 09 TL have center instrument control clusters now that really devalue the interior. Also the new dash material ont he TSX if they use it on the TL is very graininy looking making the material look cheap as well. The TSX backup camera is much improved over the current TL, but wish they woudl add the guide lines like Infiniti. The ELS in the TSX TECH sounded better than current TL, much cleaner highs and cleaner richer bass. The steering in the 09 TSX is too numb and light, some don't like the heavy TL steering feel, but I do, give real good feedback and feel, the TSX is now other end, almost like a Camry feel (not that bad, but you get my meaning).

yea I dont buy it .. I cant imagine they would make the front look completely identical to the tsx. Lets hope not anyway. The rims are nice .. something a little different for Acura.

That's not the TL. That's a photochop of the TSX front end on a US Honda Accord, +/- some cues. You guys need to get over it, lol.

By looking at the pictures closely u can see the headlights and the grill are the same as the 09 TSX... Under the grill next to the fogs we can see large outlet which should be have the inter cooler nicely tucked inside....

It also goes with what Mr Fukeo (CEO of Honda) said that in 2010 Acura will get a 4cyl Turbo Diesel....

Why would Acura/ Honda use the same headlights in 3 model.. Euro accord, Acura TSX and now the TL.... Just my

It looks like it got sandwiched in between two Hummers in a chain collision on the Interstate, caught fire, and someone beat it out with a chain.

I know someone that has seen it that works for Acura and he said it looks like nothing in the Acura line up, this looks like the TSX someone is screwing with you, go have a drink and forget about it! lol If you look at the covered spy pics, you'll see the bottom in the front is no where close to this picture.
