D-100: The Official "Does This Wheel and/or Tire Fit My Car" Thread

^You will definitely need a camber kit (surprised you don't have one already being that low), and a fender roll with 19x10+35. You can probably get away with running 235/35/19 tires on the rear without much rubbing. I would run 225/35's on the front wheels. The stretch will be moderate, but not too crazy.

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Size 18 x 8
Wheel Offset (+30):
Current tires 225/45/18
Will these rub?
Will I be able to put wider and shorter tires with these rims? maybe 235 or 245/40s?

Definitely rear, front camber kit is up to you. It's usually not a necessity unless you need to run extra negative camber.

Will this aggresive fitment work?
I am not really a guru when it comes to offset so please help me understand this. I am currently steps away from purchasing some wheels. The front is 18x9.5+20 and the rear is 18x11+14. I plan on running 215/40 in the front and 235/40 in the rear. I own an 2004 base TL.

Ok, so I plan on purchasing Varrstoen ES1's. I have an '06 base TL 6-speed/Brembos. I am currently on Aspec suspension but will be purchasing HTSpec ver2. What size rim/tire would I need with minimal fender mods, spacers, etc. I dont mind the above if I have to, but if I can get away with it the better. Dont plan on slamming, just a nice flush fit all the way around. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh damn!
PM member "ebelp". He's bagged and is good with aggressive wheels.
The wheel specs are fine but I'm not sure about caliper clearance. Maybe someone will know for sure and can chime in.
What size tires will you be running? What suspension do you have?

I'm on stock suspension, which is lower than a stock Tl, so probably shoot for 235-40-18 or 245/40/18

REARS: 19×11 +25
I have a 06 spd w bbk. Do i have to pull the fender, I had trim/rolled my fender already. Lower on FF coil and yes, i do have camber kit ready to install.
My question is what tire spec gonna work it out, and does it possible to run 19x11 without pulling fender?

3mm isn't much, about 1/10 of an inch, but I wouldn't buy them without looking for some with a lower offset first

Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**):+23
If lowered (amount): how low can i go?
Tires will be Federal 225/40/18s
I'm prepared to roll the fenders - will I need a camber kit, and how low can I go? Not looking to tuck, but maybe 2 fingers worth of gap.
I will have HT-SPEC FF Type 2 Coilovers.
Thanks

Wheel Make/Model: BMW M6 Gran Coupe Replica
Wheel Size: 18 x 8.5
Wheel Offset: 35mm
Lowering: None but would like to mildly drop in the future
Tires: Thinking about using 235/40R18
Question: I saw this photo of a TSX with these wheels in a 20" size. I really, really like these wheels. How can I get them on my 06MT? BMW wheels are 5x120, so either they're running adapters or something else has been changed. I didn't think there would be enough room for wheel adapters.

I just found out that these wheels were redrilled. I'm going to have to find a shop in St. Louis to have that done.

Car in question: 07 Type-S - stock
Wheels in question - 18x8 18x9 staggered F:R with +25 offset
Tires in question 235/40/18 265/35/18 F:R
Looking to lower in future with either a-spec or H&R lowering springs
Will 265's in the rear even work with the TL?

Looking at some wheels that offer 2 offsets that are supposed to fit. Which one is preferred?
Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission: 6MT
Year/Trim: 08 Type-S
Wheel Make/Model: Drag DR-49
Wheel Size: 18x8
Wheel Offset: 35 or 45
If lowered (amount): ~1.5
Is the 45 offset the safer bet because I could always add a spacer?

Currently on the hunt for an 07-08 Type S
Seen a nice inexpensive wheel that i'd like to run in the future
Here are the sizes they currently carry
18X10 5-114.3 15SCL
18X10 5-114.3 35SCL
18X10 5-114.3 25SCL
18X8 5-114.3 30SCL
18X8 5-114.3 40SCL
18X9 5-114.3 25SCL
18X9 5-114.3 35SCL
18X9 5-114.3 15SCL
Which would be the best for "flush" fitment?
This is what I would consider perfect

I'd start by browsing the wheel & tire threads. Here's one I found.

Use this site to compare the poke.
http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator
Justin got the same width and offset, but his poke out a little past the fenders according to him. So it will depend on your rear camber and amount of lowering. I personally would try to stay within the stock camber specs for tire warranty reasons, but I've seen normal specs to -2 degrees for a Mazda (the TL is -1.5).
https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...9&postcount=14
Of the wheels you listed, the 10.5" +35 would poke the same as 9.5" +22. The next closest is the 9.5" +25 (with 3mm less poke), and these will probably poke past the fenders, so you might want to message Justin so see how much you'd have to retract to not poke (unless you want the rims to stick out past the fenders).
I would just look at what widths and offsets others are running to see what works and what they look like.
Other things to consider:
Do you want to be able to rotate your tires? If you make the rears poke out, they may poke out too much for the front, so you might want to run a less aggressive offset in the front, but if you do that, you can't rotate your tires. You can get around that by running spacers and getting the same wheel for all 4 corners.

Help With Rim size
Hi all. Im new to this forum and a new TL owner. I just bought a 2004 TL with 47,000 miles.
Can anyone tell me what the biggest rim size I can get away with- without having to make any suspension modifications, or having to do anything crazy?
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
