Wheel Make/Model: xxr 521
Wheel Size 18x10
Wheel Offset +20
If lowered: Not lowered

Already know I need spacers to clear my front brembos, but do I need my fenders rolled and pulled?

BMW Rims?

Sorry guys, new to this forum. I have a friend with an extra set of BMW style# 59475 rims. All BMWs are 5x120 lug patterns, and TL's are 5x114.3's. I'm not really that wheel savvy, so I need some help in getting them to fit on my car.
I found a set of spacer adapters: http://adaptitusa.com/browseproducts...l-Adapter.HTML

I'm not sure how offset and spacing will play into the fitment on my car. I also do know it's possible, as I've seen the TL-S's with the 7 series BMW rims on it (looks awesome).

Can someone please help me out? Thanks!

there's some wheel shops that will modify the lug pattern slightly so that the bmw wheels will fit, they are pretty close already.

warning though...most big box stores will not touch your modified wheels if you try to get tires on them or do any rotations with big stores.

i got a set of avant gardes modified to our lug pattern from the bmw lugs, and no store would touch my wheels to put on tires. luckily they didn't clear the brembos even though they were guaranteed to clear, so the wheel company gave me full reimbursement and i got rid of that headache

so basically, not worth it. I'm guessing this is a really cost-ineffective way to get aftermarket wheels on your car?

Which Kind Of Tire Width Will Go Correctly 245 or 255 tires?
Would I Need To Upgrade Suspension To Prevent Rubbing Agaisnt The Fenders Or Suspension, Since Stock Suspension Is Made For 17"inch Tire (Well From What Ive Read)

Have an 07 type s and looking at a set of Ron Jon legacy 7's 18x8 off set +48, I know Aspecs are close to these specs, can I run these without spacers and clear brembo's? I'm dropped about 1inch.
Thanks in advance

Question on Tire size
2007 RDX Base no mods.
Wheel size: 18X7.5 stock
Current tire 235/55R18
Would like to know if there will be any rubbing issue if I go for 245/60R18 on the same wheels.
Thanks.

Those wheels are 2" wider and 20mm more aggressive than stock wheels; don't buy spacers.

They'll fit but you'll need to run a narrow tire, roll the rear fenders, and run some negative camber.

Roll your rear fenders and you'll be fine.

245/35/19 with 19x8.75 wheels will be fine. You can leave the stock suspension on there but you'll have tons of wheel gap.

You'll most likely need a 3mm spacer to clear the Brembos since the A-Specs are +45.

The fronts will be fine but the rears are aggressive. You'll need to roll the rear fenders, run a narrow tire, and dial in some negative camber to clear.

I would buy 235/40/18 for all four wheels, that way the rears get a slight stretch. Depending on your alignment specs, you could run a 225 up front to dial out some of the negative camber. Do you have adjustable ball joints or control arms up front? What about adjustable camber arms for the rear?

For the link you posted, the hub bore is the wrong size; TL is 64.1mm. You could buy them, but then you'll need hubcentric rings to ensure they mount properly and don't create any vibrations.

Thanks for the reply bud! I have the hub rings already and figured I'd probably have to roll the rears. As for adjustable ball joints or control arms, it's all stock so I'm not sure what the answer to that is. I don't imagine camber kits are too expensive are they? Someone told! With the drop the camber won't be too much an issue but hard to tell until I get the tires. Thanks again

If this is better posted elsewhere, please let me know.

2005 TL, Manual transmission with Nav system, stock everything, not lowered.

I'm not asking about a specific wheel, rather I'm looking for recommendations. If this would be better posted elsewhere, please let me know.

Winter is coming. With it come potholes. I'd like to mount 16" wheels and higher profile tires that will better absorb the shock without knocking the wheels out of round.

I've seen some posts suggesting that the brakes on an 05' with a manual transmission won't support smaller wheels. Is that correct?

Are there any smaller wheels that would work without a tremendous amount of hassle?

I have the option to go -30 to +75 on the offsets.

need to know what offset I need to clear Stoptechs. Doing a major winter overhaul and would like to know wheel specs that will clear stoptechs. I would like 18x10 wheels but will go down to 18x9 if needed. Thank you in advanced for an answer.

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 05 Base
Wheel Make/Model: VarrStoen ES6
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**): +13
If lowered (amount): N/A

Just wondering if anyone has an idea if these would clear our factory Brembo brake calipers. I had 17" MB Battles 9.5" wide and +15 offset and they fit without spacers. I'm not worried about poke because I'm having fender work done, really just wondering if the wheel will clear the brakes. Thanks.

Question from Newbie

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Manual Transmission
2006 Base
Wheel Make/Model: This is what I am looking for
Wheel Size: 17x8
Wheel Offset: Stock
Not lowered

Hi

I am new to the forum as well as forums in general. I copied & pasted the questions and filled them out, not sure how the formatting will come out.

I am looking to find out which Honda family vehicles came with rims that will fit so that I can scavenge the junk yards. I would prefer steel but alloy will work.

I am trying to help out a friend. I found her snow tires and am now looking for rims that will work/fit so she can have both sets mounted and just swap out when she needs to. She just graduated from nursing school and has huge student loans so I am trying to do this on the cheap.

The next thing is her car gets inspected in June. I know there will be a warning from the TPMS system but will the whole thing wig out if we skip the sensors in the rims and it stays on from November to April?

Thanks, John.

Hi

I can't figure out the PM system. I got an e-mail from AcuraZine that glan2014glan had sent me a PM but I had reached my quota. I think I cleaned it out but was not able to send a PM to glan2014glan. So would you please send an e-mail to GM_EA@yahoo.com or try re-sending the PM?

Thanks, John.

What about an 05 infiniti 19 inch wheel off of a G35? I know the bolt pattern is the same but was wondering since my car is a 05 TL 6-speed.

Xxr 530

Hello Acurazine!

Questions on Wheels

Wheel Make/Model: XXR 530 - Chromium Black
Wheel Size: Front: 18" X 8.75" Rear: 18" X 9.75"
Wheel Offset: Front: +33mm or+20mm Rear: +20mm
If lowered: .5" roughly (Koni Yellow - Type S stock spring)

I am going for 18" all around, but want a bit of a stagger from the from to the rear. Would like the rear to appear larger.

If anyone has any insight on the tire sizes I can pull off, it would be much appreciated.

Tire possibilities?:
Front: 235/35/18 or 245/35/18
Rear: 245/35/18 or 255/35/18

Thank you guys! Let me know what you think!

Hi Astris,

I can't figure out the PM function, I put the old in Old School. When you get a chance please give me a call at 603-727-8159. A friend has an '06 TL with a 6 speed and is looking for a set of wheels.

Thanks, John.

This will require fender work + a large amount of - camber. You will probably also need to run 215's. If done correctly it will look really good.

You could run 245's with this setup and still not rub. It's not aggressive at all.

I had the wheels I have now on an 07 WDP TL Type-S with TEIN SA Coilovers lowered about 1.5 inches. Wheels are 19x8.5" +35 offset and did not rub. Also did not need added parts. Just got it aliegned and all was good with tire wear.

19"x8.5" Axis Hiro +35 wheels. 245/35/19" Perfect IMO
TEIN SA Lowered 1.5" F&R
No needed parts for aliegnment.

In this Avatar I have A-Spec coilovers- ( Want TEIN SA- No $$$ )
Maybe TEIN S-tech springs soon ???
