Good fit/ no rub?

First post,

Thanks for any info
Those specs will fit. Are you lowered any? if so, may require rear fenders to be rolled

19x10.5 +42's (7mm less inner clearance) have been run front and rear without any issues on the TL. iirc it was 235/35 tires in front and 260/35 tires in the rear

They should.. The +30 clears STI/EVO brembos (same caliper as ours). Hope that helps!

18x9 +30 has been done before with brembos. The wheels were rota gforces which share a slightly similar spoke/lip design in the 9" range. The XD9 appears to have a bit bigger lip on the face side which would reduce your clearance some but like I said above it cleared those calipers on other platforms.

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Auto
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): Base 04
Wheel Make/Model: Varrstoen ES 2.2.2
Wheel Size (**X**): 19x9.5 All around
Wheel Offset (+**): +22? (+33 also available)
If lowered (amount): Probably around 1.2" on Tein H Techs

Will 245/35/19 tires cause rubbing (current tire setup on 19x8 Ronjon Legends +32)?

Need advice. Just picked up a TL last month. Plans are to drop and rims for now.

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Auto
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 07 Base
Wheel Make/Model: Stern Hyper Mesh2
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x8.5 All around
Wheel Offset (+**): +32 (+45 also available)
If lowered (amount): Probably 1.25"= front, and 1"= rears on Teins or Function and Form type one Coilovers in the near future.

Tires 225 or 235 40 18. Which offset should I go with? Will I have any clearance issues or rubbing? Thanks in advance.

Acura Tl type s (07 auto)
Drop: 1.75 in front 1.5 in rear (neuspeed supercup kit on sport springs)
Wheel: 19x8.5 all around
Offset: et22 all around
Tires: 215/35 front 225/35 rear

Will this fit without much modification ...hoping natural neg camber in front and maybe -2 degrees camber if needed would take care of it. Lmk thanks

Nope that setup will work great. With a 245 you might rub without a roll, but with a mild roll you'll be good!!

That's on the +33...with the +22 I would recommend a roll and smaller tire. Like a 235

I'd recommend a 225 and going with 15mm spacers on the +32 setup, just my . Without spacers either tire is fine

You can run a 225 or 235 upfront, I'd recommend it. No need to run a narrower tire than factory, especially with the power of a Type-S. You could do either of those options without a fender roll at that height.

Don't know if it's the right thread but...

Our stock tire has Revs per Mile: 821.27/mi
What is better? More revs per mile, or lesser revs per mile?
Does it effect speed? I mean what's good or bad?

No idea, can someone help?

Going to a smaller diameter will increase the low end gearing, similar to raising your final drive, but what you gain down low you'll lose up top in mph and shift point.

A lot of guys run shorter tires for auto-x because of the added boost in gear ratio basically. For example at a drag strip it would reduce your 60ft times but at the cost of reducing trap speed and mph as well.

So if those two driving events are why your asking then a smaller tire would possibly be what you'd be looking into. I don't have any experience with using a bigger tire than factory. My new setup will allow me to gain some first hand experience since its actually taller than stock. So if youre curious pm me and Ill let you know if feel or see the difference driving or in mpg. The gains of going with a taller tire would be increased ground clearance and its supposed increase in gas mileage as well because of the increase in diameter. The gas mileage improvements may be offset by the increased weight of that bigger tire however.

Hope this helps

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Auto
Year/Trim (04-07, Base or Type S): 08 Base
Wheel Make/Model: Rota PWR
Wheel Size (**X**): 19x9.5 All around
Wheel Offset (+**): +15

I know the offset is a little more extreme than normal, I can get my fenders rolled. Will I be able to run these wheels at all? If yes, will running 245/35/19 tires work?

Ok, need some advice, and this is the place to ask...
Rim size: 18"
Width size: 8"
5 bolt with 114.3mm
And I don't know what 35BMF is. Can anyone explain and if this will fit my 05 TL 6mt? And what size tires are suggested? 245/40/18??

No way in hell a 245 will work without a pull or camber. I'd recommend rolling completely flat and running a 225 maybe a 235. Ran an 18x9 +10 and rubbed in the front with passengers and turning. That was with a roll and a 225. I'd suggest getting the skunk2 front camber kit. Your rears will be good with the roll. Should clear a normal 235 just fine (non federal).

I'm assuming 35 is the offset. With that setup and a 245 you will be fine. That's only 10mm more aggressive than stock. I believe our stock wheels are 17x8 +45. I'd suggest a 9" wheel with that offset and same size tire, this is assuming you get your fenders rolled.

Ok, thanks for the info. I just found a set a rims that I liked and I didn't know if they would work on my TL. I'm pretty ignorant on this subject. I just want to keep my stock rims on my snow tires and get another set of rims and put an all season tire on them. I don't want to modify or roll my fenders, just a basic switch switch of rims. Ay suggestions would help. I've been on the last two days looking at other posts that could help me.

^it will work as long as u roll all 4 fenders, stretched tires is a must with that much drop 225/35 i recommend stretch friendly tires falken, achilles or dunlops. i think ul be fine with 245/35 in the rears also u will need to camber it to fit

thankyou I see a loot of guys using 225/35 up front with varrstoen es2 19x9.5 square, I though that I could go with a less aggresive offset and use wider tires 235/35 continental dws. my biggest concern is the wheel clearing the brembo calipers.

^i have 19x9.5+22 fronts and i run a skunk2hellaflush camber kit with -2.7, you need a front and rear camber kits due to your heavy drop and aggresive offsets.

Do all A-Spec Wheels clear brembos?

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance
Transmission (Manual):
Year/Trim (07 Type-S):
Wheel Make/Model: Acura A-Spec
Wheel Size (**X**):18 x 8.5
Wheel Offset (+**): stock
If lowered (amount): None

Couldn't easily find the answer to this question using the search function. Will both the 8" wide and 8.5" wide A-Spec wheels clear my MT Brembos?

all the way around? yes it would work with rolled fenders. also depends on the drop and camber settings. i would recomend 225/35 but u might get away with 235 some tires run wider/narrower than others.
