From what I have read with these style rims most have cleared the Brembo brakes with only using a 5mm spacer.

Ive done some more thinking and I am gonna go with the Grids in 18x8.5's, I found a place that sells em in a +25 offset, and according to their "wheel fitment expert" (sounds like BS to me), that offset will clear the brembos. Has anyone tried that offset? Again, the car is an 04 Aspec lowered about 2.25"...

I think the rear will poke to much because of the offset...I would do lower than 20-22et

I am gunna be getting these pretty soon with some TEIN basic's and i know i'll probably need spacers and a camber kit but i'm not sure what kind or size of the spacers.

Question on Brembo/Big Brake Clearance

i have some 18x8 w/ 38mm offset w/ 235/40/18 tires, they fit and dont rub. I went online (tirerack) to find one for my spare, but it says it does not fit my 04 TL Auto. Is this due to the different offset? They fit just fine and dont rub, should i expect any issues? Worked on cars my whole life and still dont understand offsets.

I changed my mind again, wheels are a big decision after all. Now Im thinking:

TSW Nurburgrings
18x8.5 all around
+20mm offset
Going on an 04 TL Aspec lowered about 2.25"
I DO have the Brembos up front BTW which is my main concern

Ive seen the Nurburgrings on some TLs, but I couldnt find the offsets they used, can anyone confirm that this will work??? Thanks again

I tried some Nurburgring 18x9.5 +40 and they mounted up okay test fitting without a tire. There was about 3/4" clearance, at the front shock housing so you probably would have to watch your tire size.

Be advised I test fitted some XXR530 18x8.75 +33 and they will not clear the Brembos without a 6mm spacer. Awesome looking rims but the manufacturer and vendors are saying they will clear but they definately do not clear.

you need +20 offset, clears the brembos... I just ordered them

Just need to figure out what tires to get now and what size.

as my first post, just wanted to say, what up Acurazine. on to my question, 20x7.5 +42, rolling on 225/30/20 rubber bands, its an 06 TL 6mt, stock suspension, but lowering on h&r's in the foreseeable future.

What do you fella's think?

No. 20's are not a good size for the 3G TL. Also stock width is 8" and you're moving down to a 7.5" wheel. Since you have a 6MT you have Brembo brakes so the 7.5" rim will not clear them. Find another rim you like in 19's as they are the max size you should go for looks and also find something in at least an 8" width.

I really wasn't consider 20's originally, just a sick set came up f/s locally. Ideally I was looking for aggressive 18's. I hail from the land of aggressive offset rwd yota's, so my preference is something along those lines. What's a guy looking at if he doesn't want to do a lot of fender work, but wants to run low offset high width mags? Ideally a 245-30/35-18.....

thanks in advance

I changed my mind again- all I need to know now is if the 18x9 +25 Rota G Forces will clear the Brembos... I know the +30s do, but I'd rather go with +25. I searched for hours and found a lot of info but not specifically if they clear Brembos. I promise this is the last time

Ok looking at this set-up. They are Mustang reps it dose'nt give
me Lug pattern. So maybe someone can give some insite?
Also going with tein coilovers 2.00 drop F 1.75 drop B, will be
going on 04 TL base 5at. I saw them on wheelreplicas.com.

ANTHRACITE Deep Dish 95R
18x9
Offset+ 36
Centerbore 70.8
Want to use Tire size 245/40/18 with these wheels.

Thanks

Yes they will fit, without a roll depending on tire size. If you went with a 235/35 you'll be fine. 245's you may run into some issues. If you roll your fenders you can run the 245's or if you roll/pull or roll and add some negative camber you could add spacers.

Im assuming your asking about my wheels? lol
Yes they will fit, the +25 gives you 5mm more clearance than the +30 set will.

You can run those on a 225/235 without a roll. I ran 18x9's +25 on a 225 for a bit before getting mine rolled, no rubbage anywhere.

Holy shit batman, I think youd be the first to run a 275 on an Acura TL much less who nees a 275 on the rear of a FWD car lol . If your wanting the staggered/meaty look put your 245's on the rear and get some 225's for the fronts. With the tire sizes I listed youll fit without a roll in the front but you will need one in the rear.

Yes they will fit but I would recommend a smaller tire such as 235/40/18. Bolt pattern is 5x114.3 just like our cars. Id even reccomend a small spacer (5mm) or if your fenders are rolled you could do a 15mm spacer all the way around.

You could've asked in here instead of posting a thread as well. Both of which are useless since you didn't mention a wheel width.

I don't think at aspec ride height you would rub anyway but if you decided to go lower youll have no rubbing with a +35 up to 9.5" wheel with a roll and proper tire size.

Thanks Jordan, got some decisions to make. Either the mustang

TSW Fitment

I've been lurking around here for about a year and I have read most of this thread, so I'm pretty sure on the answer, but just want to be sure.

TSW Bardo or TSW Brooklands
18x8 or 19x8 +40
245/40/18 or 245/35/19

I want to go to 255 but not sure if I can find a tire that would look right on such a small width. I saw the Nurburgrings with a +35 (+40 with a 5mm spacer) that looked great! Please give me your thoughts. Thanks

TSW Bardo in Silver

TSW Brooklands in Silver

TSW Brooklands in Matte Black

Yes you'll need spacers with brembos. Not 100% sure but probably around a 15mm. That being said to run that square you'll need to be rolled flat in the front or add camber, and in the rear you'll be fine with a mild roll and natural camber(I've had this same setup in the rear).

How low are you? Are your fenders rolled? If your decently lowered with rolled fenders all of those fit with tons of room to spare. I'd recommend a 9" wheel in the +30 range if your looking for more aggressive and better fitting than stock without losing functionality. Running a 235 tire would be my recommendation, and keep in mind depending the tire brand you choose the size varies a bit. Some run slightly wider and some run narrower so keep that in mind when your picking out what you want in your setup!

With that ride height you won't rub whatsoever nor will you need a fender roll.

Hey does anybody know if I can fit:

Transmission (Manual or Auto): Manual

You can run those on a 225/235 without a roll. I ran 18x9's +25 on a 225 for a bit before getting mine rolled, no rubbage anywhere.

One other quick question, will that hold fast if im lowered? I just picked up Tein S-Tech springs which I'll be installing soon. Thanks again man!

I posted this in another wheel thread but wanted to ask here as well. I Was also looking at these Wheels in a 19x10+35 all the way around. My only concern is the Inner clearance of the wheel. I'm currently running 19x19.5 +34 and if I get 19x10+35 I Will have 19mm less Clearance on the Inside. Is there any concern of rubbing on any suspension components?
