You will most likely need a 10 mm spacer. And may need to get extended lug nuts and you will also need to roll your fenders.

Wheel Make/Model: Boss Wheels Style 328 Chrome Wheels (link on name)
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x8
Wheel Offset (+**): +40mm
If lowered (amount): Stock Height

Hey all, getting a pretty good deal on these, but not completely sold on them. From what I understand I'll need hubcentric rings because I believe the Center Bore is 72.6mm, but other than that it seems to me like it should fit right on.

Any other feedback on these/Boss rims would be appreciated as well.

Thanks!

Not at all. that's a super conservative wheel spec. you'll be sunken in pretty good that low
you may have to run spacers to clear the brembo brakes

I had 18x9.5 +22 on my car lowered about 3.5 inches I think.
I cut my rear fenders, rolled and pulled the fronts.

Wanting to buy some new wheels. I am currently running 19x8.5 +35mm Niche Euros with 245/35-19 tires on all four. The wheels I am looking at getting are same exact size and will run same tires, except for they are 30mm offset. I am lowered on H&R springs with my front Konis on lowest perch setting. Will the new wheels fit without rolling the fenders?

Yes it'll fit, no you PROBABLY won't need a roll since Aspec with factory 8.5 +45 and 245 were fine without a roll when I first lowered the car.

That's the most common size for our standard OEM 8" wheels.

2008 TL type S and is stock.
Wheels: Konig Oversteer 19x8.5 +30 5X114.3.
I have Konig on the way, but I tried to buy some tires today at discount tires. They said they can’t sell me Michelin pilot super sport 235x35x19, because it can’t handle the weight of the load of the car WTF… I thought it just the width. They proceed to talked me into 245x35x19, but I said no. They also tired 225x 40x19…WTH why cant they just sell me tires I want….
Rating for the Michelin is 91y and oem on door jam is 93w…

I would like to install the following wheels+tires (have ordered the wheels already, but am still in the market for tires) for my 2007 TL Base (Bone Stock):

Wheel Make/Model: 19" HFP Wheels (from the 2013 to 2016 Accord Coupes) as seen here 19" HFP Wheels (each) - 08W19-T3L-100 - College Hills Honda
Wheel Size: 19x8.0
Wheel Offset: +55 mm (crappy offset)
If lowered: Stock Suspension currently

Tire Make/Model: Continental DWS 06
Width/Sidewall-Diameter: 255/35-19
If lowered: Stock Suspension currently

Will the tires rub/hit the suspension components? I know the TL Base's stock wheel setup is is 17x8.0 with 235/45-17 tires, so, with the above mentioned setup, I believe the tires would be pushed inwards 20 mm towards the suspension components. I also know that 255 width tires aren't the recommended tire size for 8.0" rims, but I love the look of wide beefy tires and would prefer wide tires (maybe even 265/35 haha!). And yes, I know that this setup's overall diameter/circumference is greater than the stock setup --- I'm not too concerned about this.

After this setup has been installed, I may install wheel spacers (depends on how I feel about the way the setup looks): 20 mm front and 25 mm rear, to turn the wheel's offsets into 35 mm front and 30 mm rear.

After the spacers have been installed, I may lower the TL with camber kits (depends on how I feel about the way the setup looks). I'm still undecided on a drop height amount. Maybe 1.3 to 2.0 inches.

If I were to skip installing the spacers and decided to only lower the vehicle, would the camber correction to push the top of the tire+wheel outwards (adding camber degrees) justify not installing spacers?

So I got the 19" HFP Wheels installed with 255/35-19 Continental DWS 06's on my 07 base TL and answered my first question above haha. For an 8" wide rim with a +55 mm offset and 255/35-19 tires, it won't rub/hit the suspension components! Here are a few imageshack pics if anyone wanted to see what this setup would look like without spacers and stock base suspension.

https://imageshack.us/i/pmjLXw4Kj

https://imageshack.us/i/poNkDppxj

https://imageshack.us/i/pnpKNfAuj

https://imageshack.us/i/plLZYufGj

https://imageshack.us/i/plCNvaqfj

https://imageshack.us/i/po2b3cvlj

I'm unsatisfied with the offset of the wheels. So I just ordered Akata 20mm wheel spacers for the Front and Akata 25mm wheel spacers for the Rear. Once those are on, I'm most likely going to keep my TL at stock height until i become unsatisfied with that too haha.

If lowered: soon, 1"-2" drop on Tein Street Flex

This is probably a stupid question but..

I came across some rims from a TSX

http://m.ebay.com/itm/New-Set-of-4-17-17x8-Alloy-Wheels-Rims-2004-2008-Acura-TL-TSX-Accord-Type-S-/401118934629?fits=Year%3A2008%7CMake%3AAcura%7CMod el%3ATSX&hash=item5d648d3665%3Ag%3AAccAAOSwInxXMgA D&_trkparms=pageci%253A53b9314c-5045-11e6-b0ea-74dbd1801cd3%257Cparentrq%253A142753b01560a605a4c0 dc64ffff3e83%257Ciid%253A2

I have a 08 TL with factory rims. Will these fit my current tires if I buy them or will I have to buy new tires?

Vossen CV1

i have M/T TL and I'm looking at some 19 x 8.5 Vossen CV1s
My vehicle is lowered, but it's adjustable. Will I have rubbing issues? The fenders are rolled and pulled. Will they clear the brembos without adding spacers? And are these wheels heavy?

05 TL factory wheels replacement

Hello,

I am trying to replace a factory wheels on my 2005 TL after the original rim cracked. I haven't been able to find a clear answer as to whether these wheels will fit, and I am really just don't know much about wheels. Dealer said that my wheel is model # 42700-SEPA-12. I found these wheels, but the website says they fit the 42700-SEPA-11. Do you think they will fit?

proposed replacment specs:
Wheel Size: 17:
Wheel Offset: 45
Bolt pattern: 5 x 114.3

Thanks in advance.

will not clear. need hubcentric rings (should be provided with wheel). don't know what size spacer but most likely a +20. you can always buy the wheel and then use washers to simulate what size spacer you need (1 washer = 1mm), but do not drive like that!!

why not buy the 18x8.5 +35 that is known to clear brembos??

Hey sockr1, thanks for the response. The thing is, my gf bought the rims a while back for my birthday so I have the wheels already. As for the washer method, I just put the washers on the studs (until the wheel clears the caliper) and mount the wheel correct? And thanks 1 washer = 1mm

^^ yea to give you an idea of the spacer you'll need. Your gf had a varsity thought but a JV finish haha, very interesting specs to buy. Regardless those wheels are some of my favorites!! Post up pics when you get them mounted along with the required spacer so others can learn also

Meatiest I can go on stock 17s?

Hi guys, new here. Been using this website since I started using my wife's 04 Acura TL 6-Speed as a daily a couple weeks ago. Always found what I was looking for...
Anyhow, the TL is growing on me and I'm going to keep it as my toy car. Thing is pretty quick. My weekend/babied car is an 05 Dodge Magnum, and my daily was an 03 Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi...but I'm letting my brother use the truck until it sells.

Anywhoooo, I ended up having to join today because I'm trying to figure out what's the meatiest I can go on the stocks 17s? I've been searching the forums for the last hour or 2, and can't seem to find someone with stocks trying to go as meaty as possible, on stock suspension.

I want to go very very meaty on the back. Thick sidewalks, and wide tires.

And what's the meatiest I can go on the front tires?

Thanks in advance.

PS: it's the first time I join an online forum. I usually find everything I need on the Facebook groups. But idk why, I never get answers when I post in the Acura groups 😔
