Bought a 2007 Type-S recently, and it runs poorly. I'm replacing a few things to try to make it run better, but right now I am going to adjust the valves. I had a question about the butterfly flaps in the upper intake. Should they be closed completely when not activated? Mine have a gap, which hopefully shows up in the pictures.
Sorry I don't have the answer but does anyone have a part number for that little gasket thing I guess it would be on the bottom where it sits down in the manifold?

But to OP, I BELIEVE it should be closed when the engine is off.. I took mine off to do a valve adjustment this weekend and i believe it was closed as well.
The leakdown was done with each cylinder at TDC? any change with a wet cylinder?
Thanks. I have two Odysseys and I was thinking on substituting a valve from one of them to test.
Leakdown tests were done at TDC using the marks on the front cam. I did not try adding fluid. I also discovered that whoever installed the timing belt got the back cam one or two teeth off. That's certainly going to affect performance.
