There is nothing wrong with used oil pump if you buy one in good condition. You bought a used car didn't you?! Everything is old on it. I installed one off an Honda Odyssey when I resealed the oil pump on another J series in the past, no issues. Used oil pump here... nothing wrong, 30k miles now.

Just curious what was wrong with the old oil pump that made you replace it?
So did that fel pro kit work? How is it holding up so far
It's working great and the Grey honda bond from the tube version also worked great but was a little tedious to apply.
I believe there were two internal oil pump seals in the kit also as I could not find where else they would go on the stuff that should be replaced.
Battling this issue now as well. 119 on the clock. Belt service done @ 100. The reseal job is the timing belt job performed again as I understand it. Correct?
Yes. Timing belt + oil pan + oil pump must be removed. I'm doing this right now and it's a big job. You just had your timing belt done, if I were you I'd wait for the next timing belt replacement unless it's leaking really bad
Just on the safe side from something like that happening shortly after the service is why I believe several people recommend it be done whenever the timing job is being done.
I will try my damnest to do it every interval because I know when I don't it will bite my butt.
