"Spark" noise when I turn the ignition key to start the car?

i recently notice a "spark" noise when i start my car. it only does once in a while (usually in the morning when i start the car).

anyone know what this noise is all about? my car has 105k miles on it, could it be the starter?

Are you sure it isn't a noise like a relay? I hear something too, i think it is a relay though.

My understanding is once you have your ignition turned all the way ON, the only the turning further to start your car does is power the relay that sends the power to your starter solenoid.

Relays are usually easy and cheap to replace but I've never had one fail, changed them a few times when I picked up 2nd hand relays from the wrecker and changed the resistors to slow down blinkers when going from regular lights to LED.

Is this sound coming from the interior somwhere in the dash? I've noticed that if I turn the key to "start" too slowly it makes this sound. Sounds a lot like a relay buzzing.

I hear the exact same noise if I go too slow on the start-up.

I see this is an old thread, but with no answers yet. I have an 05 TL base, and when I am slowly turning the key from Pos I to Pos II it makes an electric buzz sound (like an electrical short). I took it to the Acura dealership (My car came with an extended warranty) but they told me that all TLs make that sound.
However, I have two buddies at work, one with an 05 and the other an 06 and neither one makes the noise mine makes at start up.
It is def coming from the under dash fuse box on the drivers side, but I have replaced several fuses and relays and still makes the noise.

I wonder if this is related in any way to Acura TSB 05-013 - Saftey Recall on Fuse Box.
Any ideas???
