I had it color matched the gray color of the inner side of the grill cutout.... If that makes sense?

The A will make it look...it's hard to describe....a little too stock maybe? A lil less aggressive.

My wife is in a battle with me on this one right now. She wants the A there because she says it looks too plain and we paid $30k for an Acura and it should look like one. She likes the pics I showed her of Darky's car. The way I have it now, the head on the look is great but from an angle it does look like it is missing something to me. I originally wanted to put an A-spec symbol there offset to the right. She hates the idea but I am going to experiment with what looks best.

I think the Aspec emblem would look great.

I use to have it mounted on my grill right centered.

For now I only have this pic, but I can post a closer one later.

Thanks DJ! I don't know what it is though, call it global warming, but the winters have been ok here the last couple of times! I feel like I'm on borrowed time though...the next 10 days are looking good with even the 60's in the forecast!

I actually really like that. It's different and subtle and still gives it a more aggressive look. I might replicate the same thing without the "supercharger" on my AM. (until the day I get one... )

Dark, that's looking nice. I should be out in Reston in Feb or March. Would love to see the ride in person. I'm jealous that your ride is so clean. Mine is covered in road grime and salt from the snows.

Spring is just around the corner!! I can't wait until the modding begins once again. Ray was a huge inspiration when it came to my grille... Although I did nowhere near the cosmetic reconstruction he went through.

Kosstick you won't find any shop that will paint it without them warning you about possible chipping. Just get it done bro.. Just tell them to prep it like any other piece though and you'll be fine. You'll eventually get chips it's enevitable but if/when it happens it really will be barely noticeable. While you're having the grille done you should have them do your Rear "A" emblem and the license plate trim too that is if you really want to go for the stealth look

I had my front grille done for $210 and the rear trim piece for $20

Dang, man. Wow. What a travesty. I just read that thread and did my best to pay my respects...although there's not much one can do via online forum. We've lost one of our grill OGs.

There is no reason why it should not fit. The cars are exactly the same save for a few mechanical and cosmetic differences. The only difference in the front bumper is a slightly restyled apron.

The Type-S grill will not fit on the 04-06 TLs. The 07-08 grill are bigger, you would have to replace the whole front bumper assuming the mount points are the same. The only part that is the same size is the Hood trim strip.

Yes wouldn't it be nice to have the lip incorporated INTO the bumper like that in the 1st place?? It prevents that "added on" look that is so pronounced on our factory body kits ESPECIALLY the type-s bodykit.

If I had the capabilities of Ron Jon I would produce a bumper just like that with fog mounts and with a rear to match and incorporating a mesh grille. The stuff that's on the market right now dosen't appeal to everyone's tastes. We need more options for different tastes and it's not rocket science. Civics and Integras have enjoyed a lot of choice out there. The TL may not be as popular but it definitely is not a rare car at all. I think someone could make some serious money playing their cards right.

1. Can you remove the grille without taking off the front bumper?

2. Can you remove those two horizontal chrome strips in the front bumper? What keeps them attached?

1. Yeah you can, need a small screwdriver and small hands would help. You can reach behind after removing one of the plastic engine bay covers
