I would be honored. Let me know which one your #1 is and I'll make it download-able so you can get the high res/file size
Thanks Steven! I feel like I'm getting better in my technicals, and being more creative. A lot of the shots are all from my yard!
Anxious to see what John says, since he's my mentor currently

You're welcome-I just got a Canon T4i. I took it on my honeymoon last week. I got it 2 days before we left, so I was learning the camera while in the field. But your pictures are impressive.

Sorry I was so late to get back here. Had an interesting weekend.
These are the ones Shoeface asked for, they are all downloadable now, the full 13mp shots. I figured I'd let you all get a chance to grab them if you want
http://www.flickr.com/photos/3038427...7630916312990/
Example of an "Original" size (click this picture and it will resize to your screen/browser) I normally only at the 1600x1200 pixel size just because of the resizing issues on forums.

Couple from before the weekend even started.
Every thursday in the summers in my town, there is "Concert in the Park" for free. This was an especially large turnout!
Local bar's glass insignia is great IMO. It's called the BeeHive Bar and Grill....what better than a drunk bee with a beer???

Small park called 'Lincoln Park' if front of the local catholic church (been there almost 200 years I think) It's really not big at all, about 1 square block.
Steven, yeah as he said I'm carless. I wish I still had my TL.
Anil, look at some photo blogs for tips. I still peruse them from time to time for 'advanced' tips. Also @ steven, do the same. Stick to manual focus for awhile, and once you get the feel for that, start playing with 'M' mode. It's ALLL practice my friends. I have SOOOOO much to learn and I've been around camera's for more than half my life!

^I keep my camera in P (Program) mode 95% of the time, unless I'm in some extreme conditions.

I avoid P, I'd rather use A which is aperture priority. You only have to choose the ISO and the F values, and aperture is where you can get a photo to look the way you want I think. Then you can use the overall exposure (+/-) value to set it to have more or less shadows.

^^^ You're right-at least we don't have to have film developed to see the results anymore!
#1179
I set a limit for how many pics I can take and how many need to be keepers, and that keeps me in the realm of being able to shoot film, but it's much harder that way. To learn you would need to take notes of all your setting every time

Foggy evening.
Holly and her gorgeous eyes.
St. Francis of Ascici, the patron saint of animals. We've had this in the yard for about 15 years.
Long exposure from the deck.
Same night (last night), only a few stars were bright enough to shine through the clouds.

I love the black on white contrast....I think it makes the car look "cleaner" and more "pic friendly"

Yeah, you're shooting a bright white with a dark black, very heavy contrast plus the shining sun.

Not to be a dick, I tell many people this, but if you don't know what you're doing with a DSLR and you only shoot "snap shots", a DSLR is worthless to you.
