Rossv1's Progress Thread
That's what I'm thinking. I was looking through the thread I posted as well as Justin's from when he did his Koni's and in both of theirs I think the perch cups are going the opposite way as mine. I just want to be damn sure because the shop that did the install is about an hour away
Awesome. Thanks for checking!
Hopefully (
) they'll be able to work me in tomorrow and I can get this all sorted out. I feel bad because it took them literally all day to get them installed and now I'm going to have to go back again. Oh well.

Got it all straightened out.
It's on the alignment machine now.
Don't have any pics other than what I posted of the crazy rake. But if you can imagine what a 2 inch rear gap or so and no gap up front looked like, it was baaaaaaaad.
I'm at a loose 1 finger gap in back and tight 1 finger up front now. We set the front on the lowest perch and the tears on the middle perch.

I'll grab some pics soon. The front's are a decent amount lower, not sure if you can tell in pics but I know because now I'm rubbing when I go over bigger bumps and my wheel is turned.
The backs are pretty much at the same height as before the Koni's were installed so now the rake looks nice instead of totally stupid. lol

Thanks fellas! I'm so happy with how it rides.
I have to go back in 3-4 weeks for another alignment so I may see about having them drop the rears down to the lowest perch then.
I just need to learn to do this stuff on my own.

I would recommend you adjust the ride height BEFORE you go for an alignment since when you change ride height, you change the alignment specs. That way when you get the alignment, the camber/toe will be in spec
Thanks for the tips Anil. I'm just nervous about doing bigger jobs like suspension work on my own since I don't have an extra set of hands. The closest anyone is really around to me is 2 hours or so.
Also, I got word back about my brakes. Turns out they're going to have to replace my entire driver side caliper.
But the good news is the shop that screwed up the brake job last time is covering full cost to me for our local Acura dealer to do the job (including changing my rotors and pads). I'll only be $60 out of pocket which was what I was originally going to pay for the brake job.
Gonna go by and have Acura order the caliper tomorrow, they said it should be in Friday so I miiiiiight have everything totally straightened out by then.

Going tomorrow to drop my car off to have the brakes done.
I've been searching and have noticed that when some people install their rotors, the slots look to be going backwards (if that makes sense). I read that if the rotors are installed so they look backwards, it can help with cooling etc. Now I'm wondering if it's just a matter of the people putting the left rotor on the right side and vice versa or if the rotors are actually made with the slots going backwards?
Also, I've been debating repainting my calipers. Now that I've got the new caliper coming in I'll have to tackle this ASAP because I don't want to ride around with one blue caliper and one black caliper.
So I need suggestions on colors. I'm leaning toward red, and will likely do red, but have also thought about doing yellow or black.

Exactly what dookie

so if the vanes are directions, you HAVE to install them a certain way to help with cooling...
is the vanes are straight, you can (technically) install the slots backwards but it will end up looking funny...

Cool cool. Thanks for the link dookie and the added info Anil!
Found out the vanes are directional and have to be installed so the slots look backwards. Turns out there was a piece of paper, with almost the exact info that dookie posted, inside the box with the rotor that I hadn't opened yet

Brakes and caliper were installed yesterday.
Bedded the brakes in yesterday and love them. No weird grinding noises or vibrations like I had previously. I just come to a stop quickly and smoothly.
Also loving the Konis. Perfect setup for daily driving. Other people who have been in the car have commented that the ride feel a lot better but isn't too rough at all.
Definitely happy with the route I went. Now all I need to do is finalize what color I'm re painting the Brembos and I'll be done for a while.
Edit:
Pics will be up in a few days when I get around to washing it lol
