Hello everyone, if you can't tell by my username, my name is Ross.
A few weeks ago I got rid of my 05 SSM base TL and picked up an 08 WDP Type S. I quickly fell in love with it and couldn't be happier.


The only two things Ive done so far is got 20% tint on the back windows and 32% up front and got Acura decals for the front bumper.

My thought process with getting a Type S was that since it already looked great, I wouldn't spend too much money on mods. I have a feeling that that plan is going to be tossed out the window pretty soon.

I snapped a few pictures with my iPhone after I got my windows tinted...










My list of future mods is short but in the next few weeks I'm planning on:

-Repainting the Brembos (thinking about doing silver with either red or lime green logos)

-Red interior lights

-Maybe a small, custom made rear diffuser but not 100% sure yet.

PS. Hopefully this won't turn into a cluster fuck thread like Tyler's has. haha

 

really is a beautiful car. i'd buy mine all over again. my one comment to you tho ... dude that pinstripe has got to go. like yesterday.

 

hey man were kinda similar i myself had a 05 base nbp and traded it for a 08 type-s cbp!
the difference is night and day!!! enjoy yours!!

It's just a vinyl sticker off eBay. Couldn't justify spending $30 for the domed decal. They look sick though.

Nice Ross. Did you get MT or AT? Also, I hope the popo doesn't give you too much grief regarding the tint percentage. I need to get mine tinted really bad.

 

I got an automatic. Couldn't find any manuals close enough and in my price range.
They're not too bad about tint down here, not sure how they are up in ATL about it though.

It wasn't a difficult project at all. It did take some time though. I was debating if I'd like this color combo or not but I'm glad I went with it. I'll pick up some matching Brembo covers to put on the rear so that it'll look uniform.

Hopefully I'll get my red LEDs tomorrow. I'll take some pictures of those too.

Edit: And the pinstripe stays. I like the way it looks, especially because it goes with the White and Black theme of the car.

 

Just installed my red LEDs. They look so much better than the ugly yellow lights. I'll get some pictures tonight once it gets dark.

Seems like he's doing little things right now and there's nothing wrong with that! He just needs to ditch the pinstripe

I'm waiting until I get another job to buy some bigger stuff. Next thing will either be a J pipe or some springs. Can't decide if I want H&R Race or Sport springs though.

And let's say I was going to remove the pinstripe, how do I? Just pull it off?

 

Stock height /argument invalid

If you go springs you'll never be lower.

It has adhesive behind it too so you'll need something to get that off.

 

Can we just switch then? You give me your coilovers and I'll give you my springs. I'll actually use the coilovers.

Hmm, Goo Gone might not be potent enough. I didn't have the stripe when I bought my car, so idk how to successfully remove it. Had no idea they came with one until I visited here lol

Yea, I finally got rolling shots. But it sounds like I need to drive by a lot of glass or have someone take a rolling video for me then.

Well I've been wanting to make a rear diffuser for quite some time but just never got around to trying it. After I hurt my knee all I've had was free time so I figured I'd see if I could build one. I'll admit, it's not exactly what I pictured in my head but I don't think it's not all that bad either.

It's hard to get pictures of it during the day and almost just as hard during at night. These are best I could do.





Once my knee heals I'll probably end up taking it off and trying to build another one.
This was more of a "Just to see if I could do it" kind of project.

Go ahead, I'm ready to get burned.

 

Washed it tonight and took a couple of pics....






And I realized I never took pics of the red LEDs. They look really good, makes it like like a submarine inside. haha. It is a little hard to find stuff at night with the red LEDs but I don't care. That's what the Flashlight app is for, right?

 

Decided to come home from college this weekend but I'm already bored AF here. So I took some pictures with my iPhone 5. They're not great but they're better than nothing. I also used some photoshop website to play around with the pictures.

And I only took rear pictures because the front has bugs all over it. haha
