N'oooooo, que barrato!
Yeah, I'm Swiss and Mexican but I've been inducted, my friend...even marrying a Cuban. Yegua...trust me, I've used that one to describe some people before...especially in Sofla.
I'm down for a Summer meet.

No one wants to meet up with you Austin.
#3731
Yeah, just a warning but if Austin shows up, the meet if off.
Nice weekend...just a little 60K maintenance on Betty's Accord.
Did her:
Air filter cleaning/reoil
Cabin filter Change
Power Steering Flush
Brake Fluid Flush
Radiator Flush
New Wipers
Topped off Wiper Fluid
Rotate tires
Check torque specs on all spacers
Oil/Filter
Transmission 1 x 3 change
Was going to do her spark plugs but advance auto sent the wrong plugs. Concencus online was that at 60K, it was too early.
Check this out, the other evening, Betty calls me downstairs cause this hawk flew into the window as it swooped down to catch this bluejay. He was a little disoriented but he shook it off...there were 2 other bluejays sitting on the roof going absolutely berserk screaching...
Sad for the bird, but it's the circle of life.

And, Friday afternoon, had a little photoshoot around the Gables as I drove home from getting my teeth cleaned downtown.
Parking spot at Mom's office...my trunk was under the lip of that concrete, was so tight I couldn't even pop my trunk open.

OMFG so clean. Great shots, J. I agree with Tyler...that shot he mentioned is my favorite as well.
Also, great work on Betty's Accord. How long did it take you to do all that?

Thank you, John...very much. Well, if you and Tyler agree on that one, then it must be my best of the bunch!
Where the heck is Sean...I had to reset my phone and lost his number. Dang...
Betty's car...let's see...
about an hour on Saturday evening and 2.5 hours on Sunday. They really make it difficult to get to the tranny drain plug! The whole undercarriage cover has to come off...something like 14 pretty banged up and broken clips that aren't fun to get off (the ones with the 2 metal braces that make them hard to remove). OH, and I got all set with sunscreen expecting to die of heat...and of course...it starts POURING. Oh and my oil pan catcher thing...I bought a new one and the opening was small, I misjudged and oil went everywhere...that added to it too.

^It's usually a good thing to spray the load everywhere BUT the small opening.
btw, just checked on Sean. He's alive, but could probably use some cheering up.

Car looks good. Makes me wish I had gotten NBP, always wanted a black car. Just hard to keep it clean though. The painted calipers look good too. I plan on painting mine as well, just not sure which color to go with yet. Debating on gold or silver with black decals.

Dang you, Steven...
Ok, so I DO kinda like the ATLP version 1 roof spoiler, but don't really like most of the others. Plus, I am afraid of it getting stolen and if I used something really permanent to install it, I'd be afraid of not being able to remove it.
Don't ever say that again! NBP is gorgeous clean...but the operative word is clean. SO, if you enjoy driving your car more than cleaning it, you're better off with ANY OTHER COLOR! I'd have KBP or CBP if I had my druthers. But, I've embraced the menacing batman look...thank you for the compliments!
I dig the bronze/gold look on the calipers...just wanted to keep mine looking subtle for the time being. I would love to see how they turn out though.
You bastid...I ain't got no fans! Actually, you just reminded me that I need to buy a garage fan...it's been too dang hot out lately! Hmmm...my headlights...jew crazy meng...I love my headlights! Plus, if you really look at them, they are perfectly imperfect...I've burned the lens on one corner, and the carbon fiber wrap on the sides isn't perfect. I actually have a backup set of lights in the attic that are cleared...but I am keeping them for emergencies!
J.
Sometimes I feel like the car looks too plain with no spoiler...and i don't like the wanna be effect of the type s lip spoiler...but I agree, it does looks sleeker/lower without it. Plus, I had a booboo and put a nice ugly scratch in the trunk last time I removed and cleaned it off. I sanded/compounded/buffed, but it's still there...all that would be hidden with my spoiler back on. And I used little vinyl circles i cut out to hide the holes...not perfect but gets the job done.

You're, not your! I know it, man...but it was 5pm in business district, nobody was out there. Also, when I moved back, I ended up on a hump that made the front look higher.
If you look at the bottom of the car, it's still biased toward the front being lower than the rear, trust me, if you play the match the tuck front/rear, you'll keep going and going, lower back, lower front, lower back, lower front...
Right now, I'm maxed out front and rear...when I raised up the rear before, it looked super high!
