Thanks Steven, told you...we tried!

Anil, I'd be curious to hear what you got in store, that's for sure!!! Will PM you.
GP, didn't realize you had it too...yours looks perfect...funny, did mine with just the goof off and wire brush, I probably should have used sandpaper and brought it to a nice finish with a wetsand and THEN metal polish.

^^^Of course you did...you always hook us up like that! Funny enough, I remember it, but didn't even think to mention that I was the one that gave you the idea! Just kidding.

John, after installing JUST the rears and seeing them in action, I want to fly to Canada and hug it out with Simon. What a friggin amazing product.

Quick update...trying to solve these ECU exhaust issues...
Yes sir, but ALL the guys in this thread other than me have the Richie defouler. I promise, I purchased one of the 90 degree ones that are VERY similar.

As promised, my first step in troubleshooting today...
here are my codes

went to autzone and bought spark plug "non" foulers...

drilled out one pocket with a 1/2" bit...

now, on front, not enough room to work with due to the passenger side fan so could only do a 1/2 of one. On the rear, I installed both defoulers mounted to each other.

here is the rear

I'll keep y'all posted of my results. At this point it's all just try this or try that to make informed decisions on a final solution here. Since I now have both front and rear codes...and 2 different lengths of upper defouler here, we shall see how it ends up. Moving the upstream back a little to offset the downstream reading was suggested here...can't take credit for that.

Reset ECU, let's see how we fair. Next steps...if front code comes on and it's due to not enough "defouling", I'll opt for a 90 degree one. If rear AND front come back...I'll opt to move the shorter defoulers to the downstream and take the 90's out of the mix.

.
I have a 08 base and I got those 2 exact same codes several weeks after I got my v3 PCD installed.

Couldn't figure out why so I just chose the "Clear faults" option in torque and make the CEL disappear.

The CEL will usually come back once a month or once every 2 months.

It's been about a month since I last cleared the fault and it still hasn't come back... I plug in my OBD2 scanner and scan for faults and the list shows up empty.. I always wondered why I got those 2 codes also.

^^^ Richie said in someother thread that the bottom O2 sensors might be loose....i have hand checked mine and they are plenty snug...some other member got em tight and his codes disappeared

and am with Jer on the Tape over the CEL....if you end up doing that, please post a DIY LOL

No way man...I barely play COD as it is! Plus, I'm a playstation man!
Anil, I will certainly RECHECK my defouler install, my friend. Just wanted more firepower to figure this thing out.

Viex...HA...my ish went a week with no codes at first...then it comes on within 10 miles of driving.

For those wondering, with torque, you can clear the codes but car must be off with ignition at ACC.

Hey fellas, thank you!
So, I got a little more "involved" than anticipated, as per usual. Started the weekend with the switchback sidemarker install, we all know what that looks like. Then, yesterday, converted my mountain bike to a single speed (pics to follow)...rode Markham park today that way and LOVED IT. Since I loved it, removed all shifters and cables and derailleurs.

Anyway...no dice on the upstream O2 sensor with the small defouler...BOTH codes came back today after a 20 mile drive. So, back to the drawing board...I'm CONVINCED that for the amount of bad air making it's way through, the defouler moved the downstream sensor too far away from the stream...under high rev/wot conditions, no code...driving chill, code. Opted to use my modified spark plug "non-foulers" on the downstreams.

My REVIEW on messing with the upstream sensor...DON'T...it sucks...at idle the car was bogging itself...sputtering and almost turning off...I'm guessing, running RICH. While driving and downshifting the car jerked violently a few times, I'm guess with unburned gas. Don't mess with your upstream. It won't solve your downstream issues.

Here is the 90 degree defouler I had on there...swapped out...all in all, to remove and reinstall all and wrap, took me 2.75 hours. Not bad at all.

soaked the downstream sensors in gas as i read that would clean out some of the gunk

and here is the jpipe pre wrap...and primary wrapped...I DID find that where they spot welded the heat shield on, there was a slight leak and possibly the heatshield would vibrate against itself when cold...it was annoying...so I put a piece of wrap under it, put some exhaust sealant on the hold and wrapped OVER the whole heatshield.

Jpipe wrapped

and front reinstalled

rear reinstalled

Honestly, I preferred getting the P0430 code when I'd drive it hard than these 2 codes from driving chill.

Anyway, I'll keep you all posted on whether or not this solves my problems.

J.

Ok, and here are some shots of my single speed conversion, test run at Markham park today and I will NOT be going back to gears on my mountain bike. Quiet quiet quiet, could push through anything, lighter, less maintenance...just can't go wrong. Simple is where it's at.

LOVE it.

and here is the single speed, didn't realize it, but I matched the blue and red to existing accents on the brain/shock/brakes PERFECTLY!

Jer...

as i mentioned to you in the other thread, its the amount of air going thro in the defouler which tricks the O2 sensor....

i would talk to Richie...tell him you have procats and want to see what defoulers (if any) he uses for the HFC's....that way you can get the codes cleared....

am sitting at 160K and am pretty sure my lower 2 O2 sensors or the defoulers are shot .....when i run seafoam, the codes clear and the codes come back after couple hours of city/highway driving....

might have a resolution for this in a week

I tried google chrome AND firefox and I didn't have that option! Maybe I need to download the newer version of it!

No comments on my new pictures...nothing more disappoints to a pic whore more than when I get old and wrinkly and nobody wants my "business anymore".

PS...fiancee took a pic of me shooting yesterday, thought it looked kinda cool!

J, you are at the point that people will mostly critique you instead of complimenting, because, well no one wants to be a broken record. they are all nice, all the time.

and idk why it would be a certain version, because I have had that option the 3 years I've had my flickr account

Well, thank you Sean, that's quite a compliment, actually.
Well, I must be a moron then...I go to Flickr and it gave me BB code, HTML code etc...but NONE of them would post the actual picture like the IMG code from PB.

Anil...I have a feeling she used picmonkey, but I might be wrong.
Plus, yall already know you were just checking out my azz in that pic.

Tell me about it, brother...well, the wrapping was for the rasp...the o2 sensors were to get rid of the CEL.

Sean, you've never heard of the brand?!? It's big in mountain bikes etc...their stuff can take ABUSE!

Well, after working on cars, working on bikes is a breeze, but does require some youtubing, patience, and special tools. It's awesome though...when you look a bike going smoothly down the road, it's a modern engineering marvel IMO.

Oh and Matt, I tried man, I missed the spoiler...car looks too plain with nothing, and looks like a wannabe types s with the lip spoiler. Made it almost a month with nothing, then saw a 7th gen accord slammed with spoiler and had to have mine back.
