Wow, really? You were supposed to paint Sunday and let it dry for the week so you don't damage the paint when reinstalling the bezel.
Who gets you guys that want to mod but then don't make it a priority to get it done?
You're lucky he doesn't have a hookup to buy it from someone else! Then you'd be all pissed off that he bought it from someone else that WAS ready for him.

It doesn't have to dry ALL week.
I'll paint the next day I go home. Probably Thursday. Paint everything like I want it, then let it all dry, Sunday, put them back together with sealant and install! Then package the smoked ones and PM Mr. Lone.

True. I guess if it were me, I'd have been itching so badly to get my hands on it I'd have done the painting immediately...even if it meant going outside or painting on Jessica's balcony. When I want something done, I do what it takes to make it happen.
Then again, my logic should be applied to everyone else in the world, right?

Plus the paint is even harder to take care of! Unless you plasti-dip it.

Vinyl wrap > paint

Nice try. Love your car. Just saying...since you've got the mod itch, I would suggest that be a candidate. But hey...you have to LOVE it and if you're not sold, I'm not the one to say of course.
Still...if we take a vote...and get e-peer pressure.......

but yeah, I would suggest paint as compared to vinyl wrap or plastic dip as knowing Jeremy he would go back and forth peeling the wrap/PD and reapplying it
#7578
Thanks for the ideas, boys...and Anil is right, I go back and forth WAY TOO MUCH to ever do something that committed, that expensive and that is outside my modding comfort zone. Honestly, the time that I DID see the matte black TL, I always think, man, that thing would be nice if they threw some glossy clear on it, it looks dirty!

Okay, took some quick shots at my favorite elementary school. Thank goodness I don't have an old Chevy panel van with a bag of tootsie pops on the front seat...I'd have been locked up long ago...

Dammit I need 19's...there's no way I could tuck that much tire up front and still be driveable. I love how visible the fogs are from the side profile too.
This shot is great:
That's a great angle to shoot with a wide focal length. For your next lens, you should get something that zooms from 10-22 or 12-24mm. Similar to the effects of the 50mm f/1.8, a super wide angle lens will open up new doors to your photo game.

Nice shots J. And don't lie, you still had a bag of candy in the front seat just in case the opportunity presented itself. You probably were swerving in and out of the cones too, because racecar. Well that, or practicing your parallel parking.

+1 on the wide angle. Next time we meet up, I'll let you play with the 10-22.
Not sure if it's in the "hobby" budget doe. It's kind of expensive.
inb4 I do this as a hobby.

I am in no hurry so its working out for me to wait. plus I dont want to be "that" guy that shits all over his face and goes and buys another set.

You're lucky he doesn't have a hookup to buy it from someone else! Then you'd be all pissed off that he bought it from someone else that WAS ready for him.

merci!
Thank you, John. I just looked up BOTH of those lenses, it'll be quite some time before I consider them. That's more than I've put into the camera and accessories to that point. You were the one that picked the 50MM for me though and I love it.
What date will you be around for sure, I need to coordinate to make sure you get to meet some of the locals? Prepare to be disappointed.
Thank you brother...I agree, they have a classic niceness about them that sits really well on the NBP. I'm not sure if you saw, but they ARE modded...bezel painted black and lower reflector is CF wrapped. Not huge differences but enough to be mildly noticeable.
Thanks Chip...yeah, you know it...but I save my candy for the middle school...c'mon, I have standards.
my car is no racecar. It's slow but kinda nice to look at.
It's not that, I just don't think I'd get $500 worth of enjoyment out of it. I am sure it'd bump my game up but I've been pretty happy with what I've managed to do with the stuff I own currently. Thanks for the offer though.
I still think you should sh*t all over his face. Just to let him know you care.

^Staying with Canon? You're doing it wrong. jk, the 60D should be a huge upgrade from the Rebel you had. Looking forward to some sample shots.

...that's ANOTHER reason I don't feel like squandering more money on Canon lenses. I have a feeling when I DO upgrade, it'll be to Nikon.
Eric, do come down. I'd love to rub my azz juice on that sweet ride of yours. And I can only do that in person. Wait, WUT?
So Sunday, June 30th then, Meko? Austin, mark it...let's make another meet.
