I want to see that custom 4G grill in person.
#1007
I guess it depends on your font! No wonder sometimes it'll say "update on page 4" and it'll be page 5 or 6.
on mine, it's page 19.
What popped up?!?! the picture?! Not the grill, I hope. Tyler, the greal looks awesome in person. Maybe if Brian is available he'll meet up when you're down here.

That's actually a pretty cool picture of me innerrrrdsss!
I really enjoyed that mod...so much so that I've realized that I've lost 2 mpg on the last 2 tankfuls. Either that, or the fact that I lowered my PSI in my tires by about 6 in hopes of making the outside of my tires wear out a bit to make me feel better about having to buy new tires only due to bad toe wear. Thanks Tire Kingdom!
PS...I think at the dealer they are about $50 per endlink. Yours seized up!??! I've heard people have swapped over to moogs and just cut theirs off. I actually ruined one of mine once...so I replaced it. But I went with OEM. Mine don't get rusty down here.

lol i'm down 3 mpg's since i changed my plugs on monday
the plastic part of the connector is all loose. i think i fucked it up when i changed my suspension. i really wonder what getting the adjustable ones would do with the stock sway bar. preload that bish, simulate the progress sway?

I doubt it...probably just stronger and offer SOME preload but I'm sure a lot of the strength in the progress bar is from the solid bar. I love how my car handles.
PS...
what do you mean plugs...you did your spark plugs and damaged the coilpacks when you put them back on? If so, are you running on 5 cylinders or less? I dont' see why else you'd drop 3 mpg after plugs.

oh, i just got quite a bit of power back in the lower end. everytime i do these small little changes like the UCM and TBCBypass, etc, i always find myself revving higher and using a much heavier foot. when it was fully stock/original i was getting a 28/29 avg, now i'm down to 25...i did a short term log and i was getting an extra 2 from the fresh plugs at 55mph
interesting with the sway. i didn't realize we have a hollow bar. i was just thinking about it the past week with the GB, i could have gottten 1 or both moog links and the RSB for the price of the adjustable fancy endlinks
i guess i'll do the moog's (i saw someone paid $29 for a pair the other day??) and then find a RSB later. i need to get this sorted before the snow!!!!!!!
lucky you are in florida. muggy and hot and rainy is all you got.

very very true...
Yes, you are right...some mods I think...man, I lost mpg, but it's really because I'm driving it differently. I'm making an effort on this tank to drive nice and chill. Will post my results.
Also...yeah, you can upgrade your ends and deal with the sway down the line.
I don't think it's hollow but maybe 17MM rather than 19 or 21MM. I can't remember, but remember feeling a difference when it's set on "track". I wonder if the extra preload is affecting my too too...the way it reacts to turning and uneven roads. Maybe I'll drop back to street setting afterall.

I'm not sure...I definitely remember paying $50 for mine (only 1 side).
I've been "simplifying" my car lately too...my sidemarker relay mod started acting up again. The passenger side stopped working again...then came back on, then stopped, then the sidemarker stopped working.
Decided it was time to rewind...removed the relays...I'd rather not have ANOTHER thing to troubleshoot every 2 months. I pulled the fuse on the DRL's again...I think i like the NO LIGHTS look...who knows...not hard to turn back on. I also turned off the switch to the footwell lighting.
I DID pull the trigger on some pristine red tails...my original ones had both corners chipped and a crack from previous owner. I sometimes miss the all red tails...believe it or not. I guess I never know...but that'll give me the ballz to finally cut open my red ones and depending on how that goes I'll probably use the red turn signal reflector for a transplant...the ONLY thing I don't like about my ghost tails is how shiny/chromey the turn signal area is. We shall see. The guy gave me a good deal on his window visors too, so I will be throwing those on too...I've often thought about it since I'd like to be able to ride with the windows cracked even when it's raining out. Figured if i hate the look I can always resell them immediately.
Also, got a killer deal on some switchback turn signal bulbs. I want to see whether or not I love them...worst case, I'll sell those too. Just need to get that .24 ohm resistor to stop the hyperblink from inside the car.
OH...and have the front SPC's about to show up...can finally swap out the ebay craptastic ones I've had in there. After the way the rear bushings held out on their rear camber arms, made me question having any cheap products like that on my car.
AND, this weekend I took out my pads since I had a squeak when reversing and applying light braking...now that I've youtubed WHAT to grease up...I fixed it...cleaned all the gunk off and applied small amount to where it slides. Easy peasy...pads are only 10K old so didn't bother replacing them at Autozone (for free). In cleaning up the brakes, realized that 2 weeks after deciding to leave my brakes alone...I have the dreaded bubbling clear coat on my brembos. GREAT! Now, to pick a color...I'm ALMOST positive I will end up keeping it simple and do a nice high temp silver base with black brembo letters. Looks high end...and stands out with out standing out in your face with the bright colors.
Also, tightened both bolts from the inside firewall to the clutch master cylinder...cleaned all the various gunks that I've sprayed over the last few years...applied shin etsu to the spring mechanism and put a good amount of bearing greased into the fork assembly. Squeak gone there too...nice and smooth now again. Hope it keeps.
Lastly...tried to find the reason for the light rasp I hear on cold starts...ONLY under load (if i rev I don't hear it) and only when it's cold...I drive and around 3K in 1st 2nd and 3rd you hear this weird rattling. I actually bought some new grade 8 hardware for the Jpipe connection to the rear exhaust. Tightend up all bolts to the primaries...bent the heatshields away from the exhaust from the front to the back. Hopefully that's the end of it. I hate rasp.

Simple ftw. I've been itching to install my red tails and red sidemarkers back on the car. I'm sorta sick of the whole black/white look
I approve of the silver Brembos. Those are going to look hawt!

Oh Sean, don't quote Tyler and myself...we all know how this modding goes...you install, you change your mind, you switch back, you repeat in 3 months.
Ha ha...yep, I agree...simple is great...sometimes I see a stock TL and think WOW, those are nice about the tails, or the wheels or the headlights. I mean...i LOVE mine...but I want to get it to the point where I have less moving parts to avoid all these little troubleshooting nightmares!
About the silver...I'm touched, you actually read my novel above! Yeah, I think silver will look nice enough without being TOO in your face like the blue or copper will. Plus, I can't help but think about my 97 accord and how OVER brightly painted calipers I am. Also, on a black on black car...I think it'll detract from the rims to have a flashy color. And with teh headlight ring and lugs and valvestem...I feel it'll get to the point of being TOO matchy to have all that blue. The copper might work, but I'd have to lose all the blue to do it and again...very flashy.

If you didn't have the blue accents, orange calipers would be my choice! Stick with silver though, you don't want your car to look like a Crayola box with all the different colors

Dude^^^thank you...that is exactly what I'm going for and you totaly just proved that I want to do it. In addition, I had originally painted my rusty hub etc with silver paint. But, to make the caliper "pop" I'll be properly sanding down and paint that portion black to keep it clean looking.

very well said T....and why didnt u post about ur tails couple days back, I would have bought em off u....

Funny enough...I just inquired on the group buy on the brakemotive ones... Figured you could spray them down with clear to keep them nice but I agree with you...zinc plated would probably be best.
I don't even think my 2 screws are rusty...I'd probably have no problem getting mine off.
^I doubt he will end up taking off his tails for good...I don't...I have almost ALL my oem products in my attic...I swear, I change my mind so often on the look I'm going for.

Hmmm...I guess you're right...well, I DID go back on the reverse HIDs...but my internal wiring problem where I kept blowing fuse 6 was too coincidental. I have removed my ghost tails and then put them back on...I have swapped back to my aspecs and back to the works...usually within week too.

So fiance and I took an extra day off today and decided to beat the crowd to get our tree...
Decided to take my car...success!
There she is...mounted onto my Yakima bike rack...and yes, I did take her on the highway at 75 mph...NO PROBLEM!
