^^^ brother I have ZERO knowledge about bulbs....Morimotos or CBI or SVS or all those things....

I dont mind picking up that pair from you hands if you are serious and if they are decently good and will last me a bit....I hate taking my front bumper off

I'd say these are stock output but "5k" in color. It's all about how much money you want to spend on bulbs.

$60/$100/$180 are your choices basically.

I'd love to find some Fatboys. 5000 lumens.

Fatboys, you say? 5K lumens sounds incredible.

Anil, it ain't easy but last few swaps, I did it with bumper on. Used my fingers as my eyes since I know what I'm feeling. Mori's were bright...like Chad said, depends on what you wanna spend. The BRIGHTEST will run you $180-200, for the most part.

Rockstar:

IMO, the best tunnel down here is on US1 between Las Olas Blvd & Rio Vista Blvd... +/- .3 to .5 mile stretch.

Insanely intoxicating!

group reply

I will be honest, I dont want to spend wayyy tooo much....the last set I got was for like $80 and has worked perfectly well....but its has been 2-3 years....

Chad, text me about the Morimotos....I might take them off your hands....

Jeremy, love working without gloves () and using my fingers as my eyes (:mizouse)....I might try to do it without taking the bumper off and if am not able to, then will pop the bumper off....

I can't even fathom how you would do that swap without taking the bumper off. I guess my hands are just too beefy. Plus I'd be way too scared I'd mark or screw up the bulb during installation somehow. Especially with an expensive pair like CBI's.

Richkid, I'll have to look for it, man...when in MD for Aaron's wedding, we hit so many nice tunnels and I was driving a rented escape

Anil, gotcha, man...I even leave the security screw out now. Not necessary and saves 10 minutes of time. I also slide my led flashlight into the bumper and face it up thru the fender liner to see.

what is this fender liner you talk about

Makes total sense....I used to wedge a flashlight in as well ()

EDIT: chances of self burn are high with this one....

There's a gradual dip once you enter the tunnel, which makes your stomach go

I'll put up the GoPro this weekend

Please do...
Chad, this last round where I swapped like 5 different sets of bulbs, after the first 2 bumper pulls, I'd had enough. My first time swapping bulbs I did it thru liner, so figured I could revisit. Ended up being easier and easier. I did both sides on less than 20 minutes. Longest time spent, making sure clips were clipped on both sides.

Nice tone, nice cutoff, nice videos Jeremy
Why is my cutoff not like that Faruk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, is there a egg behind your gas pedal? Hit it man, 8-9-10k rpm, let us see it

Been a week now and I have to say I am happy to swap CBI with dads SVS
White is nice but I like to see the output being more noticeable in front of the car, especially under city lights.
and yeah in rain, CBI do suck

Hmmm...well I guess it's relative since the CBI's seem VERY white to me in comparison to the ddm 6k.
I am nearing 105K so I'm keeping her a little further from redline more often!

Thank you Steven and Meko. I always appreciate your feedback!

So, now that Nexson is whole...he decided he needed to lower his car for the meet tomorrow. Swung by this morning to loan some tools and give a couple of pointers, he knocked it out of the park. Looks phenomenal! Drives even better than it looks!

Your new exhaust tips are SO much better

DDM 5ks are much bluer than Osram CBI 5ks. I have VLEDs 5k switchbacks and DRLs and same thing. Much bluer. Surprisingly, the Osrams are more like 4.7k rather than 5k. They aren't even as white as my switcbacks or DRLS.

I love how white the CBIs are. I previously had the Morimoto 3Five 5k and they were a tad blue. I also have the V3 Triton 5k Switchbacks and they match the CBIs.

Thank you so much! I'm VERY happy with them! I love that they look kinda OEM but also look like they're an aftermarket exhaust.

Yes sir, Justin...I definitely feel that way too, which is why I bailed on matching them and went back to Amber corners and DRL. I won't go back from that awesome brightness either!

I'm not exactly sure, man...they were a set that the local exhaust guy sourced...I've been told they are AMG though.

Copying from meet thread since it'll die now
For sure, man...I can't wait to see it painted too! We should do another Thanksgiving/Christmas meet! Would be cool to have a few photographers like Adam did today...then just go on a cruise and have a few people just snapping away and recording video.

Not my best work but between swapping Adam's tails and have snag rolling shots while on a time crunch...

Jose, kills it with his new WDP type S...then went home real quick to come back with his NSX. Always gorgeous!

Probably my favorite shot of the day

Richest kid I know

sun was on wrong side

Back in action and looking fly

Awwwww shiettt...2nd set of red stripes (made by me, obvi)

Adam says I have a big tip(s)

What an absolutely clean car

Lemme hold that, Jose

Othello?

The Transporter? Brian's stunt double.

Thanks Meko! I love the new look of my rear end. Sometimes simple is better.

Of course I got shots of mine. I didn't want to miss out on that again.
