i mentioned painting the mufflers before!!!
your wide stance accentuates the aspec kit.. it makes the tips look small... even if you paint the mufflers it will be small
so either get rid of the wheels... ... or get a new tip
but that doesnt help.... look at GTR tips... or the ravspec FRZ widebody exhaust has some good tips.. find out if they make ones like that
I do love the GTR tips though... not sure how much they cost.. or if you remember the tips I sent you via PM get two of them each side.. but going up and down... might have to cut into bumper though to make them perfect or let them hang under.. you will just have to see what looks good

+1 on considering to paint the mufflers. I wonder if it was a flat-black would it be nice?

Jeremy....I would either get it done professionally (i bet a good exhaust shop will charge you less than 100 bucks to weld the tips on)....plus they have a ton of tools if then need to align the tips to sit right....
I wouldnt hack up a nice exhaust that sounds awesome....just an FYI, tips do play a little part in the exhaust note...

Bird is the Word
Here is a quick PS of blacked out mufflers. The tips really don't look that small in the opening. The Base A-spec can only accommodate tips so big and these actually fit it very nice.
IF you're going to put new tips on, PLEASE go to an exhaust shop to do it correctly. You don't want to learn how to weld on this beautiful exhaust and it might be tough to align them correctly.

Thank you, Adam and everyone else for your input.
Painting the mufflers is DEFINITELY out. The polished mufflers was one of the things I loved most about the look of the exhaust although I do see your logic.
You guys will love the tips I bought, I'll swing by Meineke to see if the guy that fixed my holy exhaust and aligned my tips better last time is still there. Maybe he'll take a side job and make it work. Problem here is the tip I got is single entry, and these are obviously true dual exit from the muffler...I thought about just them both off close to the muffler and then routing 1 pipe to the new tip. Might change the tone a little, but not much. Wacker suggested I make a dual sleeve type of design that allows me to slide the new tips onto these and bolt them on...but I'm not confident on making the cuts perfectly to accomodate the different curvatures I'd have to take into account.

Well, blacking out the muffler didn't work.
I hope your exhaust shop guy can get it done!

the way the tips sit on the TL, you will have to flip the 650 tips side to side....but since it is dual opening, you wont need a Y-pipe....
just email a vendor on ebay and see if he can measure it for ya....if I run into 1, I will measure it for ya

I bet those tips are expensive as fk and although they have a similar design, I fear they won't match the opening well enough with that hard inner edge.
either way i appreciate the suggestion and offer!
I think the tips I texted you are the best match, to be honest...

You ever consider maybe doing something to the stock tips and putting those back on (if they fit)? I loved guitarplayer16's with the polished tips!

^^^ Aman, the RV6 exhaust has dual exit muffler and the stock tips are single entry....there is where his issue lies

and here is my little ninja update for the next week...coworker friend of mine's son is a car salesman. He's waiting on his 911S that he ordered in the next month or so...so he asked if I wanted to drive around his 6MT V6T S5 until next Tuesday.
Sure, don't mind if I do...

Oh shit, getting on to the next flight J. wait for me
Is that stock tip? Where is the new one?
Oh my god it's not
what the hell? where did you find that
It looks bigger
what's going oooooooon
Put that thing in there ASAP
I don't care make the muffler a single exit, or just cut and leave the other one there

Thanks fellas...I'll revisit. There's some movement on my house situation with the bank so the car modding will take a proverbial back seat for a few months. But honestly...FKN
Plus, for the next week...I'll be enjoying this.
Turbo V6 is no joke, when you punch it, it pushes you in the seat hard. Cruising around, I can manage good gas mileage...like Jekyll and Hyde. Suspension is as hard as the TL being as low as I am, acceleration is amazing, braking is amazing, turbo is amazing, interior fit and finish is amazing, Sound system needs NOTHING, steering is soft and loose at low speeds but then tight as heck when you go fast. Honestly, if this car was good for kids, and the lease buyout wasn't 50K...I'd probably be in

Screw the c63. I don't know why everyone is all over those. I'd much rather have the S5.
As is right now I'd want either a 135, 335, or an S5.

Guys, I haven't driven an E92 but I can tell you that this thing puts a smile on my face from ear to friggin ear. Gorgeous, sound of the engine, the feeling putting me back in the seat. It's a blast. Wow...
I need a new car.

Chad always comes in mentioning what he wants....
Chad, the C63AMG has set some bench marks....I love the S5 and in the past couple years the S5 has gotten better and better....
now I feel the C63AMG/M3/S5 have gotten insanerrr in competition....if someone is in the market for either of the cars, its gonna be a tough one and its gonna boil down to either brand preference or warranty or little things like "ohh this comes with sunroof the others dont"

FWIW, I considered the C63 AMG before settling for a cross-over. The performance is terrific for the price. No doubt about it.

Aren't they in a different class? S5 goes against 335 (or 435, dumbass name change) and C350, and the RS5 is for the Ms and AMGs, no?
Hope to have that problem one day. For now, let's all be jelly of J. God, that's beautiful

Yeah, it's very nice.
I have no idea and past a certain point it's splitting hairs.
Okay, I HATE that his sunroof tilts but doesn't open. Unless I'm a retard but I think the shape of the roof dictates that although it's massive, it doesn't actually open.
