Holy mother...what a difference. Some OLD pictures of the ride, before the drop and a LOT of other stuff.

My ?
LOL...right? Me EITHER!
DOEEEEETTT...this website is never any less demanding for some quality pics!
Thanks you, Mr. Bell.
Indeed, sir. Indeed... I thought I was low when I first got it!

demsexyavy'sthatmakemewanttoflogthedolphinatwork!
I don't blame you one bit!
I agree, Ty, and thanks. When I first got it, I thought the car was absolute perfection as is!
Yes sir, had the windows removed to save some weight!
Thanks man...it's been an ebb and flow of good and bad mods. I am happy with how she currently sits.
Thank you Austin
Felt weird to use her as a "company truck" today. But she is a trooper!
I have to look, I probably have a few more angles from the beginning that I could line up with how she sits now.

Nice to know that reggla-deggla people can recognize a great looking car
#5863
...ha ha...something like that. I just always appreciate when people that aren't car people (or don't appear to be) do a double take. They probably can't tell you why they like your car. But you could probably tell them.

Thanks Eric. I bet it would be a lot more shocking to see a before and after of YOUR car next to it's original form!
Thanks buddy...I appreciate the love very much.
I'm going to respond here.
It is cute. But I don't mind...after that Glamour shots profile picture update on FB, I'd expect something cute and sweet from our boy, Anil.
Ok, well, some of it is the camera and angles and fact that the sun wasn't hitting it directly. So I won't claim that the paint is flawless...Austin can tell you it's far from it (and usually takes every opportunity to!)
But, as a MACRO view, I do enjoy trying to keep the car looking good.
Ok, if I were to start ALL over again.
If you DO want to correct:
I'd just get the porter cable.
1 orange pad with Meguiars 105 for deep cutting
2 white pads and Meguiars 205 for polishing
1 black pad (optional) with your choice of sealant or do by hand
The hardcore OCD detailer guys will tell you need more and different steps but you'll get rid of MOST of what you can get rid of with this setup and don't have to worry about burning the paint.
to seal, debatable.
Personally, I've been a Zaino Z2 guy for a few years. But recently was disappointed with it. Was hard to take off last time and it might because I tried other stuff in between but it was streaky on the hood/roof areas.
Griot's...solid stuff, but felt like it was some over the counter stuff. Hard on and hard to come off. Probably lasts a while. But I didn't wait long enough.
Megs Gold Class, over the counter, got the job done originally for me....but I've graduated. Still a good one for someone on a budget that just needs SOMETHING to keep the sun from cooking that clear (see picture of a CL I saw yesterday below...did they EVER wax it?)
Chemical Guy's Pete's 53. Definitely went on ok, but came off and left a haze. Initially, I loved it...it made my pearl POP like no other. The blue was super visible. BUT, it hazed in the next few days...like, it looked streaky when sitting in the sun and even after a good wash the following weak, you could see this film over the car that looked like swirls and kept the car from looking glossy. I returned it.
So, Nick@autogeek (vendor) sent me a sample a while back with my order. If you recall, I gave it a whirl and LOVED it. I tried to use the 2nd 3rd of the bottle I had left and was so amazed at how easily it went on, came off and my results were as astounding as the first time around. I ended up ordering a full size bottle of it this last weekend. Nothing has left my car looking better, to date and was easier to go on and off. I don't even mind putting a coat of this stuff on every 2 months.
don't know if you recall, but these were the shots from when I first tried it...and that was the last time I was FLOORED by the how reflective the NBP was.

Thanks, friend...I agree totally. Actually, I don't know why I waited so long to do a before/after side by side comparison. I really can tell a LOT how much I've done and how far it's come!
and here is the poor CL I saw yesterday! if you've been as into cars as I am, and have ever had to try and revive a shi**y paintjob or make due with one that's too far gone...you KNOW you appreciate keeping your paint looking pristine.
J.

Mine would look like a show car next to that one, and I wouldn't even have to wash it.
