OK, I have to defend him to this degree...in person, and when rolling, it does look low.
but clearly, if you can still park ABOVE the bump...you're not low enough yet.

Come back by my house and we'll rectify!

Sounds more like inexperienced, than a ride height issue

Low is a lifestyle. If my friend in this can get around pretty much everywhere in STL, you have 0 problems...guaranteed.

Fixed.

STL is just as bad, as is most of Missouri because MODOT thinks cold patching potholes works long term. I can guarantee you can go much lower, it's just the matter of training yourself to drive a low car. You can't lower your car and expect to drive everywhere you could before with 0 problems whatsoever. I'll say it til I die: Low is a lifestyle, if you can't handle it then go buy a truck.

Also that Z is daily driven to and from his job, which runs him about a 30 mile round trip commute, through some seriously awesomely crappy roads, but he knows how to drive the car and not rip it apart.

Or I can stay at the ride height I'm comfortable at. This isn't your car. If you want to be slammed and have problems getting places, do it to your own car.

yeah driving a substantially lowered car is like playing a video game. your lose points for hitting pot holes, scraping your fender well on dips/turns, etc. but you gain points when you are able to successfully dodge these scenarios, and can master driving a slammed car. bonus points for the amount of panties you collect over the course of your ownership with said slammed TL. bishes love coilovers.

I already do and my car is not low at all. There's already a list of places I have to go out the in or in the out or park across the street because I will bottom out/rub like no other. But it is something that comes with being into cars that are low.

That's a choice. I'd rather not have to be constantly worrying. I bought the car to drive it, not treat it like a piece of glass.

I like the ride height I'm at, and it keeps the drivability, which is exactly what I wanted.

So then why did you modify it at all? If you bought it to drive it, why did you choose to make it sit lower and such?

It still has drivability. I drive it like I normally would. I go slower to get into places but the point is, I can still get into said place. Fuck parking across the street.

So can many, many static slammed cars that I have ridden in/driven. Some places just look terrible but the car still gets in without scraping/rubbing 90% of the time.

I scrape the diffuser pulling into work every day. And I refuse to park it anywhere else. Downtown area is...not the greatest.

Plus it's not worth scraping the A-Spec.

I do!! It's a steep dip. The way this lot was designed is so stupid. I'll take pics of where I have to pull in. The other entrance is a no-go lol.

Glass is actually very hard. Failed attempt at a metaphor.

Austin, honestly...I'll tell you how it went for me.

at 1" left on the coils:

Man, looks great, I'm loving this height. Dang, scraped on that speed bump or thuddddd on that pothole. See another TL that's lower...
I'll give it a try...

at .5" left on the coils:

MAN....WTF was I thinking, THIS is the height I wanna be, looks SO much meaner and rides about the same. Ok, I'll just be a little more careful and plan out my route better...avoid potholes and such. Whoah...that TL is fkn LOWWWW...I've GOTTA see what mine looks like all the way down.

at Maxed out height:

bottomed out shock tower...car drove like ish...why? OHHH...I'm hitting the shock tower. Cut hole...now car drives the way it did at .5", not any worse and looks WAYYY sicker. Ok...I'm going to adapt my whole life now to keep it this height. Make metal plates to protect the jpipe...don't leave the BJ's parking lot the west entrance to avoid the 2 speed HUMPS that I do scrape on...know my path to work and what lane is best.

I still thoroughly enjoy driving me car, and how it looks when it's rolling and the looks I get from other people and people that ask me how I can drive like that and how close the tire is to fender. I just drive accordingly...

Every once in a while I'll get an idea to raise it back up a bit to see if I like the ride better or driveability and guess what...EVERY TIME I come back to my lowest possible height that I'd gotten used to again.

You're lowered, so you're going to scrape (and in reality, you'll never see a scrape under the aspec or that air dam underneath) if you're as low as you already are. So going a little lower, you're just going to scrape a little bit more, but it'll be well worth it.

You've got Kim Kardashian laying nekkid in your bedroom waiting for the Austin meat, and all you wanna do is braid her hair, ask her where she gets her manicure done and make her an omelet because you're afraid of a little bodily fluid getting all over her and the bed.

I think your car looks great, you already know that. BUT, another 1/2" would set off your wheels more. Next time you feel you're ready for an alignment. Play with your settings for a week before hand. You even told me that at soft setting, the car was too soft and you wanted it harder...so obviously a rough ride isn't even an issue with you. When you know you're going to have to align...drop it another 1/2 or inch and see if you can live with it.

You'll see. It's a sickness...but one that I don't want a cure to.

Kardashian lol failed metaphor

It was too soft because it felt like a damn water bed. I actually need to make it about 2-3 clicks softer, front is a little too stiff.

Maybe I will next alignment, but that's a while away.

I wish I had moar low and I scrape EVERYTIME I back out of my parent's driveway

It's sort of fun though because people walking by break their neck trying to figure out what the sound was

Tyler I agree the other day my friend freaked the f*ck out cause I rubbed on a speed bump that I thought was less serious than it was. So funny.
