and PS, Betty and I were talking about how I have to feel like I'm making progress every single day. Otherwise, I get depressed...lol...
I removed all the header wrap I had on the jpipe...that weird vibration is worse than ever. I'll need to remove it and wrap it off the car correctly to get rid of it. Talk about a weirdo....I didn't recall the solution so I looked through acurazine archives. I solved this very same problem 4 years ago in another thread and didn't even remember it.

How she sits right now...
also forgot to mention, I swapped out the parking lights to amber. I'm over the white bulb/switchback look...I have some amber LED that are supposedly really bright on the way. I will do the same for the DRL when I get that figured out.

After seeing so many pics of the black TL, it's kind of sentimental seeing it parked with no plates.
But the blue one looks good. I'm really interested to see what you do with it.

Thanks fellas...yeah, I know I'll probably eventually want the window visors again. I agree about the sentimental. I feel that way too...the black one feels slow compared to the blue one, but definitely drives smoother and it not as loud (exhaust etc).

One of the things I want to do is to gloss black vinyl my roof too.. But the CA sun (and FL) sun would definitely heat up the roof due to it being black so it might be better off going back to stock. But then again you had an all black car in FL..
For my car, White would definitely be cooler than black so I'm still on the fence...
Also hope your roof paint is in good condition under the vinyl

I don't get it.

ditch the vinyl! black roofs are old news haha just like black wheels on white cars
i say don't do the visors too, i've never been a fan of visors but i think your car is the only one (literally the only one haha) that pulled it off since it blended in with the color so well. keep the kbp clean!!

I'm a window visor and black roof man myself, BUT, I prefer the black roof on silver/black cars since it actually stands out. I think it makes the transition from windhsield to roof to back window really nice a smooth and clean looking. For KBP, it could go either way. If its in bad shape, I'd rather have the KBP roof
And window visors are always a must for me...With how good our OEM ones look, I don't see why not! I put cheap ebay ones on almost all the cars I drive but the TLs always got the OEM.

Yeah, I was thinking that too...but yeah, it just doesn't look glossy anymore. I'll sleep on it, the other stuff needs my attention more.
Thanks, man...yeah...I agree on the visors too, and mostly so I can leave windows cracked to save the dash.

Its super easy, if you remove the rear dome lights from inside(first the covers, then the assembly with the bulbs and all) you'll see the bolt coming down through the ceiling. If you get a swivel extension it should be a piece of cake to remove the bolt and unplug the harness IIRC.
Also a good time to unplug the green connector (in the same place) for the noise canceling (or someshit) microphone if you plan to ad a subwoofer

I have a JL 10W2Niner69!!!
Wonder if he did already!
Thanks Q...I thought I remembered headliner having to come off, I can certainly handle dropping the light assembly.
Think it'll peel right off if I park it in the sun on a hot day?

I didn't even notice the vinyl roof. There isn't enough contrast against the blue to stand out. It will probably look better once you throw the wheels on, but you could probably do without it if the paint is in good condition underneath.

Why do you need to unplug the noise cancel to add a sub?

If I recall correctly, it helps prevent distortion from the subwoofer.
Jeremy, I already unplugged that so you won't have to do that. The roof was wrapped professionally by a 3M vinyl installer. They removed the roof trim that runs parallel with the roof and installed it underneath. So you will likely have to remove those trim pieces too. The XM antenna as mentioned above is very easy to remove. They actually wrapped that separately so it should come off very easily.
