He ended up gettin a awd touareg! He wanted automatic and something comfortable for him and gf to enjoy driving into the mountains in the winter.
I agree...I just thought it was funny to hear her perspective since she doesn't care about cars and I thought for SURE she'd not find it smooth since it's a stage 3 clutch. Pleasantly surprised! Honestly, kinda cool to have a clutch that almost nobody can drive smoothly without a LOT of practice on it.

I wonder how much diff the stage 3 is from the stage 2. My wife drives my car without any trouble, the stage 2 clutch is OEM like.
And yea J, I've lost traction in 1st gear a while back, even with PSS tires, although I'm still on the stock 245 size. Feels like it needs at least a 265 wide tire to grab at WOT.

In her words..."you drove to Ohio to get this car, stop being a pussy and beating around the bush, the black one goes...the blue one is better in every regard".
Took her around the block...she was like, not sure this makes sense but your black one had power, but it was like pussy power...this thing has fucking balls...it puts me in my seat, kinda torquey or something. It's smoother than the black one, much better... She's a trip.

I heavily considered it, man...the koni/h&r actually rode really nicely, but I could not just leave a fully adjustable coilover on my old car due to laziness. In addition, I also couldn't justify spending any money for a new suspension when the tein were holding up just fine.

Honestly, that was the hardest part for me. Coming home with this foreign vehicle and parking it behind my OG baby and thinking, why did I do this, she was complete and lookin fly. But, in the end, I KNOW that when i make this car my own style...it'll all be worth it.

Thanks, man! I had a very productive weekend with some suspension swapping, brake pads swapping, rear rusty caliper painting and exhaust fixing up and swapping. Busy busy busy but I don't want to wait so long that it's daunting to update the thread...so I'll continue on my journey to penguin land. Hopefully today!
