Thanks, man...
well the posted pictures are all koni yellow shocks/h&r sport springs but I am currently on the Tein SS that I had on my black TL.

Which do you like a lot better? KBP? Or CBP? We always want what we don't have, lol...I LOVE CBP too. Those were my two favorite colors.

FK YES IVO!!!! Thanks for the guidance last night...I'm gonna let it simmer before I make any huge decisions for pricey changes or repairs.

Are those last few shots with the aspec sides on? Or the stock side skirts, can't tell. I've always wanted to see how it looks with just the aspec sides on the type s, let me know!

hawt, he is...
he's also only asian below the belt!

Sockr, they are type S sides...not aspec. I'm actually on the fence because after having to buy them in nbp and having them painted, I'd be out $500ish...so if it isn't THAT obvious, I'll rock just the front/rear that Justin included for the time being.

Thanks Tim...
Yeah, it did...one I just took off

It actually rode really well and had a nice stance, but with as picky as I am about stance, I could not just leave my Tein SS on black girl...I think the Koni actually take bigger hits better, but overall, the Tein handle small road imperfections better and feel smoother overall.

I'd prefer the KBP but like you said we always want what we don't have lol. I like the CBP a lot better than my old NBP. Got the bronze look during the day and a slightly dark stealthy look at night!

Yeah bro...I agree, bronze/brown are always my favorite...what kinda gave the Kbp the edge for me is there was no base color KBP and I'd only seen like 3 in person in my entire acurazine life.

Thanks, man...

haha yea i'm actually the opposite, i was thinking of just picking up the side skirts since the front and rear have such a big chance of mismatching on wdp

but yea some of the angles you took it looks like the aspec sides. however i think once you have front and rear on you'll want the sides. weird how i think front and rear with no sides looks weird but sides and no front/rear look fine haha. guess i'm weird!

I was thinking the same exact thing as you buddy^ I was thrown off cause I didn't see the front splash guards so I thought the car had a-spec sides only

I have to agree on the trim work you did and the reaction of people around you.

Blacking out my trim or even CF was a huge thing when I was in high school and fresh out. Anything black or plastic needed to be CF and anything chrome, screw chrome, murder it out.

Now a days though. Chrome in the correct spot looks so much nicer than all black. Sure all black CAN look great but IMO the car needs a lot done like when you see a murdered out Black Series.

As for the TL... especially with that blue, the chrome really pops. Personally Id love to see wheels with a color combo similar to mine with a chrome/stainless steel lip and dark faces like your Advans already are.... I just searched and APPARENTLY they do make your advans with a polished lip.... would you ever?!

Funny you mention that, Jon...
I absolutely abhor chrome...I really do...even the silver trim on my NBP, every time I'd pop it on I'd hate it instantly because it really stuck out. On the KBP, I actually really love how the dark chrome adds an element of visual interest the grill and rear license area. I removed the cf wrap and also worked out to swap with a guy with NBP for the rear painted piece for a stock piece...I'm excited to get it.

I am curious about how it would look color matched KBP...but I'm not sold on doing it yet. Or ever, maybe...could look ghetto.

About the wheels, the advan are going onto the KBP but I wanted to get the suspension on first, then aspec lips, then calipers painted...just feels like the wheels will be the icing on the cake and I don't want to rush it. I will probably test fit a couple to see how they fit with how the camber is set now so I can adjust the suspension.

I'm with you J, dark or black chrome looks good. I haven't convinced myself to do something with the bimmer chrome yet but with the silver body it doesn't stand out as much.

So, last week and last weekend were a mad dash to get some things done.
Test fit Wacker's NBP handy work...but it won't work...hazard area is different, and gauge cluster too, obviously.

Overall impression of suspension:
Koni handles the big bumps better...it feels more "robust"
but the Tein feel smoother overall in the sense that it soaks up imperfections in the road etc...

and here, world's snobbiest ahole. I really do need to get the NBP cleaned up and listed for sale. I'm procrastinating.

I can honestly say that I'm very happy. YES, I have some kinks to work out for the car to drive the way I like...and sound the way I like...but overall, even with no aspec or advan or brakes painted yet...the car is a sexy bitch. I'm in love with it.

Rome wasn't built in a day and I can't compare one car that is complete and has been a torrid love affair for 7 years to one I've spend 2 weeks in.

I always feel so lazy when I read one of your updates.

Oh, and that pic with all three... IMO, that conversion van is what punches the shot up to the next level.

soon, man...
I just don't want to rush and put the frosting on the cake before it's done baking! I want aspec lips, brakes done, and THEN advan on and mounted and suspension adjusted along with HIC spoiler. I'm on the fence about adding the window visors. They looked good on black, but on blue, I kinda dig the clean look.
