Thanks bro
meh..he did most of it, I just knew the steps but wiring was pain in the ass, i still have no idea exactly what he did, he had to connect it to the ingition (key), wires there didn't work, created a total new his own system in there blah blah so many wires
Installed the front calipers too, but didn't paint anything, I kind of don't care since not really that visible because of the stockies
Tomorrow, will install 3k bulbs to inspire fogs and clean my AEM filter

Hey Meko what brand hid ballasts are you using? DDM? What color were your old HID fog bulbs, 6K?
The reason I ask is because I have morimoto 5k 3five headlight bulbs and plan on getting DDM tuning 5,000k HID kit for fog lights but worried that it won't match. $150 for morimoto hid kit for fogs is a bit overkill to me

Hand washed the car after work
I guess this was the last time for 2013. Too cold out

Thanks bro
DDM ballast.
Had 5k DDM bulbs, but it was like 6k compared to my Osram CBI
A difference that made me not to open the fogs at night
(I mean on the road it's ok, I like bluish but, when you look at the front end, top white, bottom blue...meh rice
But I had 5k Kensun from amazon for my upper fogs (9006)
Were exact match to Osrams, I mean couldn't be better, that perfect, exactly same.
Got 2 more 5k Kensun from amazon for friend, had exact same color
But latest Kensun 5k we got was for my brothers GTI, it has a color of 4500...
Sooooo don't have an exact answer here, but that's my experience
I used to be sure about Kensun until we got one for the GTI
PLUS!!!!
Yellow bulbs I just installed are from Kensun, has more than 110 five star rating but I don't know, mine looks green

Looks like we had the same idea with the hand wash today Meko! It was cooler here for sure, but probably still lower 60s when I was out there. I'm hoping to still have a few hand washes left before the winter sets in. Once it does...Griots spray on waterless car wash will be getting tested in the garage!
Only 2 caps of shampoo?
Then with mine I should be able to clean a 18 wheeler
If that two bucket washing thing is for indoor winter, I call is BS in Boston. That Challenger is perfectly clean to me anyways

Meeks the thing about spray car washes is, if you dont spray enough product, the dirt/salt will mess the surface up....
with the bucket method, it really cleans the car well....soo well that most peeps dont use a hose anymore....
I know Matt, uses ONR (optimum no rinse) and he really loves it...I recently made my own spray wash with some optimum no rinse, griotts spray wax and water....I ONLY use it when the car is clean but I just drove home in some rain...this way it gets the dirt off and dries off clean....
I recommend trying the 2 bucket wash method

Swoosh - Those Chemical Guys and Optimum no rinse products look really interesting. It basically looks like the same method I currently use, just with a different wash solution and without the hose!
I agree that the Griot's spray would probably require the use of a lot of it, especially if the car is real dirty. Have you or Matt used these products in the winter when the car is really dirty? Are they still effective/safe if the car is filthy?

IMO, if you're trying to prevent new swirls...only do the ONR if you absolutely have to. 2 bucket wet is still better.
Looking Good, Meko...
dude, we're on the same page of trying this and that and trying to get the colors to match. Actually, one of my ebay 7443 amber corners stopped working so I put switchbacks back in along with white DRL. I already miss the amber...believe it or not. I also put the usr sidemarkers back in...most of the little clips that hold them in have kinda fallen off so I had to do a dab of rtv to hold in the rears. I'm going to leave them in, I like the white sides and love the blinking for signalling for safety.

Matt does the ONR method and does not have a single swirl on his car....the onr (2 bucket wash method) is technically similar to washing your car outside with the only difference of not washing using a hose but a bucket full of water....
when its crazy cold out and the car is filthy, what I do is run through the wand wash....wash/rinse the wheel wells and other area (not the entire car), come home and 2 bucket wash it....
I agree with Rockstar - I feel like when I can, I would rather do a standard wash. But I do think I could use a good alternative this winter that doesn't take up a ton of time. Maybe I'll give that Optimum a try, pretty inexpensive on Amazon, and could pick up a dozen chemical guys microfibers to make sure I always have a clean one. That wand wash would make sense for the wheels/wheel wells though, I don't like the thought of using the nice wash mitt on the super dirty areas, even if the grit guard gets most everything off.

what does Rockstar know....Jeremy lives in 70deg weather all year long
but yes, ONR method and 2 bucket method are the same....so ONR suggests that you use 2 buckets....the other method is the spray wash which I only use when the car is clean and just has a little dirt on it from driving home in the rain....
and yes the wand wash will save you a lot of time and microfibers when it starts snowing....just make sure you dont want wash the windscreen/roof/ since as you start driving it will freeze and make it tougher for you....there is enough heat in the wheel well/wheels that the water wont freeze....

Yea, I see what you are saying about the only difference being water in a bucket vs water out the hose....It just seems unnatural. Probably will go away once I finally try it out. So is this the optimum stuff that you would recommend:
Chemical Guys looks to be cheaper actually:

I didnt say Griotts beats the hell out of ONR LOL....
all am saying it I prefer the 2 bucket wash as compared to spray and wipe method....
and yes....swoosh IS right

What's wand wash? Place where I wash my car by myself?
Only smart way of doing Griot spray to me is yes if you spray wash the car and come home and do details with Griot
But I still won't do it. I've been to wand wash once and winter was kind of over too, sprays were frozen
Well, at the end, If I had enough space in garage, would do 2 bucket wash in winter. Spray doesn't sound safe to me as well
$36 for a gallon is cheap too
Why can't you use normal car wash shampoo?

You don't get lazy to keep swaping sidemarkers, do you

I haven't touched mine yet, don't plan to as well because rear ones sucks to reach
I want another set of headlights, that's all... but my headlights fit perfect to my car

Edit: Fuh had some pictures but forgot the camera at the car

Saw a yellow fax machine today on highway

Ha ha...
Well, I will have pictures soon enough. I just ordered another set of amber corners 7443 because the ones I had bought were out of warranty. Plus, these should be brighter and US seller and have lifetime defect warranty. I did manage to solder fix the other amber bulb last night, but I'll wait on the new ones anyway.
Also, big thanks to Rich...got a front RV6 Sway bar on the way. I've always wanted one and finally got it.
What color car does Matt have? I should say that for NBP and AM and darker colored cars.
There is no way that a no rinse will be just as safe for a swirl free finish than spraying the car down with water and washing with the soap and water on a proper mitt using 2 bucket method. I'm not saying that if you have a silver or white TL that doesn't really show swirls anyway, you will not be okay and not have any terribly obvious swirls. The method works, but I don't think it works better. Especially on a dark colored car that swirls would be obvious on. I can't say that the return of the swirls on my car were due to the handful of ONR times...but in my mind, since I live in 90 degree weather year round (70 is on our coldest days Anil!) I have the ability to wash that way all the time. I actually add a 1/2 cap full to my chemical guys soap to wash the traditional way anyway. Adds lubricity!

Nailed it about both washing techniques
I know and trust your feelings. Tell me if Sway bar makes a difference or not.
And
Is it lighter? If it isssssssssssssss.................................. ..........................
Why don't you buy an orange triton bulb?
Then it might be too bright compared to upper fogs right?

Probably an LED board, or CCFL.
Meko, I meant I add a cap of ONR to my chemical guys soap.
Sudsy as heck!
Hmmm...no, tritons are too much, Austin has had issues with his, and I think they're TOO bright.
And PS, I've confirmed that in the next few days, I will no longer have exhaust tip envy

J is right, I have led board on everything, even license plate
I guess it was 16led board or 18
Finally discovered an ebay seller that has perfectly 5k white boards
vietxquangstah made this thread about it

I drilled holes into my front bar to stick the tein allen in there...but I've always wanted the look and extra rigidity.
Richie didn't make me a tip, Meko...but you'll see. Think OEM on steroids that allows the dual entry.
