fuq me....

how is everyone reading my mind?

I was looking to build a AWD dual clutch car....not now but in the future....imagine AWD traction with the speedy DCT transmission....

the thought dawned on me when I saw a low powered GTR kicking a higher power ZR1's ass and ALL BECAUSE OF TRACTION AND SHIFTS....

Audi A3, Lancer Ralliart and few others have caught my attention

Oh you are fuqud between TL and the house

No man, AWD dual clutch should be RWD MT
What I really want to feel is our engine or my car in RWD
Tasted German power, torques with RWD or AWD or RL but the feeling this TL would give with an RWD would be amazing

ZR1 sounds sexy STEVEEEEN
Dude don't you agree.. GTR is fun if you hit the limits on the car for minutes and hours nonstop. No time to shift or trying to beat a lap record

otherwise that car is a junk unless you mod the hell out of it and make it sound like a beast

ZR1 is daily fun
I don't know bro, can't think of having fun with an Auto when it comes to fast cars or have to say AWD too.
If I was at Nurb, would pick GTR instead of ZR1, but usually I am on I-93 I-95

Audi A3?

Oh I took out the trim pieces of the center console, looks like I have to remove the air vent cover and then navigation to remove the audio player... am I right?

well the house stays, the TL....I am having some thoughts

we have not had a car payment for YEARS and we would not like to have a car payment going ahead as well....well, lets just leave it at "am TORN and in a huge fucking dilemma"

I agree, daily fun is where RWD and MT collide....but imagine you in a little A3 and you are rapping Mustang GT500's

AWD put power down more efficiently and DCT's are just quick and the downshifts are like "pornhub", they make your dick hard and the pussy wet

Hahahaha

You know I wasn't a fan of the new American cars but after doing 800+ miles in one day with SS, I am kind of interested and would love to own one... of course ZL1

I would love to trade my TL with this if TL was totally stock

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1

Even this

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1

What kind of plans do you have for your TL?
Trade both lexus and TL with a GTR?

I think this sounds better than a gt500 exhaust
300lbs heavier but better car control as they say.. I haven't driven a mustang yet
I noticed that too, remember was talking about how nice the car controls it self... and with VSA on...drives like a normal animal

WTF, I don't switch rims often! I kept the works for 3 years!
Also...when I lowered my car, my axles developed a bit of a wobble. I had to swap them out to get rid of it.

I agree on the spokes going all the way to the edge...otherwise it does look small. I was at 17.8 pounds with no tires on the advans and that's my exact setup. +29 (using 5MM rear spacer too) 18 x 9 with a 225/40/18 tire.

J.

The Isimple I had installed (not sure if USASPec is same) had issues whether I had the XM piggy backed or not...it didn't like it. The radio would have a 5 second delay for turning on/off...it would sometimes lag for swapping inputs. Just wasn't worth it to me.

Ok you switch other things haha
Axles?
Did it wobble all the time? Or just on a quick acceleration

If I get Advan F15, thinking of 18x9 +30 offset. If my math is correct, that should sit exactly where your works sat.

50/50 pro/con about isimple + usa spec that I've read on the threads.
Enough reason to push me away since I also don't have ipod/iphone

Sooo click purchase for groom usb/android???? I still haven't clicked it

So do it...it'll sit pretty much where my advans now sit AND my works...I had to use spacers to get the offset that I have now with the advans without them (for the most part).

yup....18x9 +30 will sit perfect....but you WONT be able to run your 265 wide tire LOL....

so stick with 225 on the 18x9 +30 and you will be just fine

Wait, +30 offset might be the concaved one. I don't want that
How about this Anil, 18x9 +50 with 255 or 265?

That's for F15. Never thought I would love a rims with more than 5 spokes Jeremy.

F7 has 18x9 +28 or +40
40 might be great with 255

or 18x8 +27 with 245, perfect

What the hell, this sucks, so many options and taste and only 2 different rims in the list

Jeremy what rim would you pick if you had to sell the current ones?
Not asking you Anil

Meko, you dont need a 265 tire....not unless you are putting down 350+whp....which you are not

so stay with a 245...and MAXXXXX 255 tire....

and 245's look good on a 9" rim...decent rim protection and not stretch or bulge out look....

May be I will
Ok I was kidding

What 265?

I want the rim protection, I rather have the wheel sit a little inside the fender instead of outside and run wider tires...245 instead of 225

Ok let me do some math again

245 is ~9.6"...rim is 9" and guessing it has a 0.75" lip (every rim has a little lip), so 245 is just perfect....255 will offer you more protection but again the tire is heavier

you know the way you can run, 245/40/17 (instead of a 245/45/17), you can also run a 245/35/18 instead of a 245/40/18

...and confusion in

@ 0-60

for the way you drive and speed, I recommend a 60mm sidewall (if you can even get that)....that way you will be happy thinking you are going 120 and the peeps around you will be happy since you will be barely doing 65

I like the look of the F7 better than the F15 although they're both nice.
I was looking at some similar looking ones to the F7.

The offset changing doesn't matter for ability for the width of tire. You don't need a 265 for traction on a 200 hp FWD car though, IMO. Not unless you're in the diet crew that's having a hard time from spin. For a 8.5-9" wide wheel...a 245 will sit pretty flush.

You like F7 because it's similar to your old wheels hehe
I am more fan of F7 too. Scared that TL body will not pull off thin spokes F15. Maybe 19" or 20", but 18" might look small.

F7

Oh I see. That's right You both think the same

If you guys say the stock is better, than the design that connects both pipes as soon as possible is the better one.

Which is ATLP????

That's the only one that connects both pipes together the earliestttt.
Which looks similar design with the OEM + better piping

The longer road it takes to connect the flow of the precats, the worse it is?

btw I would wait for the jpipe to come in first...

I know ATLP and XLR8 had couple versions....some deleted the 3rd cat, some didnt....so get the jpipe in and then see and compare and then order the test pipe, or just run the 3rd cat for a little bit (just saying you can if you want to)

also a quick TIP while you are installing the PIPE is that SPRAY all the NUTS and bolts with WD40/PB for 2-3 days....so hit it once day, drive around going about your day, hit it again the next day, drive around as normal and then install the next day....this will break all the rust and make sure you have a breaker bar for the install....

You saying buy a J-pipe?
Let's see what Sonnick will say.

Don't know about ATLP but XLR8 still has short and long version.
But design of the short ATLP looks more similar to stock J-Pipe.

Anil, is XLR8 test pipe same as ATLP race pipe?

Yes....all test pipes are the same...

I just checked that XLR8 has a short and long version and ATLP ONLY has a short version....so you will need to get a test pipe if you get the ATLP exhaust....also test pipe weather ATLP or XLR8 will be exactly the same

and you know what to tell XLR8...tell him swoosh sent ya and he will hook u up on shipping

Anil...I was giving my opinion. Which also happens to be yours! Honestly, I didn't read through all the banter so I missed that you said the same thing

PS...love how all 3 of the jpipes listed show where you'll scrape if you're low.

I can't see needing to go back to stock, that said, you're entering a world of PITA with rasp and CEL's once you start messing with the catalytics in the car. If you touch jpipe/primaries...be prepared to go all the way with an exhaust to match. Otherwise you'll be left with the "what if" feeling...what if it's faster, what if it stops the rasp, what if it's awesome, what if...

That said, I regret NONE of my exhaust mods.

And for loosening bolts and spraying, use PB Blaster...it's a penetrating catalyst. It does wonders that WD can't. I learned that recently.
