No sir...I'm not modding Austin's car anymore. So from here on out it'll be simple mods for him...washing the car, adding stickers, putting air in the tires.

Actually...he's in South Carolina (?) with his Brother. He posted and awesome goober picture of himself on FB last night.

BUT, here goes the bad AND good news.
Mine came back out of NOWHERE 8 months later. It works just fine now again.

my CD player works....its in the basement

WOW, how did it stop working? When I first disconnected the CD Player, I forgot I had some CD's in there and I tried looking for a reset button or a pin (on the computer, you have a little pin hole which you can push and pop the cd out)....but there was nothing on the unit....

I hope yours will come back just as Jeremy's did....

Haha
Thanks

It happened all of a sudden.
DVD got quite, tried to shut off the player, it didn't, tried to go to FM it didn't. Froze basically

Restart the car... goes to FM and plays. If I try to go to DVD or eject the DVDs out, it stops playing again. Stays on FM but no sound also froze

Have to restart the car again.
After the startup this morning, heard it moved the cds around but haven't turned it on yet... hoping it got fixed

I remember back in the day when I was going to sell my interior since the apartment was getting crowded, I was talking with Jeremy on selling the radio for like $100 shipped....

Yes disconnect both...you can use the $160 to get your rear bumper painted

Ill buy it off from you when I visit
I rather listen to radio than deal with this thing right now
or I am saying this because its too hot outside right now haha

rockstar would look nice on my car but dude taking the rear bumper was pain in the ass to me last time
f no for one more time
J says you don't have to take the whole bumper out but still, those screws behind the tire sucks
or taking things a part... I guess I am sick of it
don't want to deal with details anymore

Well, if you hate those screws, you can remove the wheel and then have full access to everything, Meko!

Yeah, I remember Anil offering that to me, which I appreciated, just decided to get XM and wait it out. Magically, after I'd forgotten about even having it I accidentally pressed CD and it turned on!

OH, you like base reds?

Meko-Sucks about the radio! Mine did the same thing a few months back. I did get the CD's out by just pressing and holding eject for a few (10sec). I did find a guy who can fix it, and he is semi local to me in Florida. Still need to get it fixed.

His name is Martin (the guy who makes the navi swap harness). I only have an email for him, but he said for a $100 he can fix it. His email is below.......

Martin is a legit guy....back in the days when I was planning on a Navi swap, I was emailing him for quotes....

but the XM quality is pretty awesome and for your, screw the radio, get the doms nav to go and connect your phone to that....PANDORA/SONGZA/etc at your finger tips

Heyy, thanks for that Slpr
I didn't know that.

Stopped by friend at Acura today, he said it's the motor for cd changer, leave it alone and get usa spec

I think that's what Anil's talking about as well..

Isn't better to leave the cds alone and move on to this

http://usaspec.com/product.php?ProductID=55

??

Did some search on it, that thing looks awesome and easy controllable from the nav screen
Price is pretty well too... instead of shipping the audio unit to get fixed and such

Oh Anil, friend made me forget xxrs
He is like go get real rims haha
He has a subie 350hp to wheels and 320hp evo.... asians

Had this at the dealer today... his evo

he said he could make jt motoring give me nice prices on rims. owner is the head of import tuner or some blah blah i couldn't catch him

swoosh or anyone..
Why would a car shake when you hit the pedal?

When I floor it at low speeds like 40 with at high gear, car shakes.
Steering, seat, everything.. rattling sound everywhere
It also happens on highway as well. At high speeds. BUT NOT ALWAYS

Checked the xlr8 engine mounts. Tough as hell, doesn't even move a mm

For example at 3rd gear and 35mph, it happens for sure
The second I take my foot off the pedal, car relaxes haha

I was blaming my rims. Front left gives 1.25 without balance but then it should be felt at high speeds or ALL THE TIME. Even when I take my foot off the gas pedal.

So dunno what the heck it is

Meko...

USASPEC is a great option....am not too familiar with them but long back I had gotten something (similar to USASPEC) and it connects in place of the XM....you lose the XM but you gain full ipod control....so you can plug in your ipod or iphone and play music via that....OR you can do what John (ebelp) did and put an apple TV or some like that in your car and just connect your iphone to your screen and see youtube videos and play music /etc

here is the link:

That car is a Audi s5 coupe

about shaking,
bent wheels?
bubble/cup in tires?
compliance bushings?
front sway bar endlinks? bushings?
front upper control arm?

check these items....these are the once which will cause everything to shake up....

hope it helps buddy....

and finally +1 on getting "real" rims....the good thing is, when you go to sell it, you will get almost what you paid for them....XXR and other dont seem to hold up their value as well....for example if you get a set of used TE37 for say 2000 bucks, after 2 years if you want to switch up, you can still get close to what you paid for them

and run some dedicated summer tires on the new rims...look into the RPF1's as well, cheap, light and they look aggressive if you dont mind running 18x9's....they have a 18x9 +25....run those with some 225 rubber on them

Ohhh my god, how dare you
Couldn't guess it was your loveeeeee, it was a GTR!!!!
tsk tsk tsk

I remember John doing something like that but I am not a apple fan. I don't have an ipod, iphone. I got android
+ even if I did get the usa spec, I'll pay $130 and get ipod nano 16GB but I love how easy USB flash disk is on dads FX. that's why I want USB one

Positive it's not bushing, compliance bushing, links, sway bar
Upper control, no idea but guessing it's too early for that thing to fail

When it comes to tire/wheel, wouldn't always shake? Would it settle down after leaving the gas pedal? No right...?

What the duck, run 225 with 9"?
Fuh no
I want something like 265/35/18 :P

Meh it's Jeremy that just can't stop. If I buy a nice set, wouldn't think about selling them.

RPF1 was the lightest rims right? The one FCVadi has
I don't like it, can't sacrifice the look because of couple pounds.

Reason I don't like it is, not sure if you noticed it but the rims I love has spokes going all the way to the side of the rim. (So it stands big)

If I get TE37s, would be 19", because 18 looks so small, spokes stopping too early.

Advan F7 is not back, I like it
F15 is great WIThOUT concave

So far only 2
Will make a list and go get prices from them, by giving friends name or I am going to tell him to get me rims. I know he gets a good price.

so your photo taking skills are shit LOL....the LED's got me....now that is see properly and see the wing. I should have guessed better LOL

I thought you had an iphone...well if you have the Android am pretty sure you can still connect a micro usb device to the usaspec, no?

when I had some vibration issues, it was a bubble in the tire and damn balancing issues....i used to get vibrations from 70-85 and then they used to stop....weird !!! also is the VSA indicator etc coming on? maybe its just torque steer LOL

well every now and then you want to switch up the look....keeps the car looking fresh

and 265 on a 9"....you better look for a +45/+50 offset wheel....coz that wont clear without a roll and pull on a +28 wheel as you had text me LOL...

finally, I think you should look for graphite/gunmetal color rims....they will look SICK on your car....or just do a blaze orange if you are feeling ballsy

Haha no no I know with 8.5" +28, I can't pass 235

Yeah torque steer, I just got my license and started driving couple months ago.. yey
I am assuming it's the tires that shakes the car. They are almost there...

This is the color that I just can't forget. Perfect!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I should do this orange

that color is just PURRFECTTT !!!

and for 8.5+ 28, you can get 245's without an issue (just roll)

am thinking of getting rims which are either 17x8.5 +30 or +32 and running 245/40 tires on them....

this way the tires will have a "bludge out" look and 245's are lighter than 255's....

either way, I might have some different plans for the car
