A little confused guys.....I have my form and function coils in my trunk, going to install them in a week or so. Why are you guys drilling holes? I thought these things are plug and play....I want it low enough so there is no finger gap....do I need to drill holes for that?

Please help somebody so confused!

your coils are plug and play. they are drilling holes for upper control arm clearance; you shouldnt have an issue with your desired height

Are you guys implying that he bought it with that color scheme?! I think it's a decent indication of how NOT to properly pull off the "bforbrian" look. But it's only cause I think the color isn't my thing.

Typeyes, I like your current ride height better, man...the rear being that low looks like sunken azz syndrome.

Thanks fellas...Matt, yes sir...I'll either keep it with nothing, but if I do put one back on, it'll be the original one since I have the holes for it already.

Yes, I did buy the car as is and I understand that its not everyones cup of tea. However, I have no intentions of keeping the color scheme at all just in case you were wondering. I know what I wanted to do with the car prior to its purchase and having said that, the price I got the car for will allow me to put on the parts that I want to put on without breaking the bank.
Tow hook, Stickers, and rear window spoiler have already been taken off.
Ap2 V1 rims still sell for a pretty penny and that will go towards my new wheels. If i cant find a set I like Im going to get stock wheels for now.

Well, to be honest, if I come across like that online, I do apologize! Quite a compliment to have someone tell you they picked a model of the car because of yours. Honestly a lot of times I don't attend the meets because they are full of all these people that sweat themselves and feel like their car makes them super special or cool.

I don't, trust me...I mean, I love it and try and keep it clean, but at the last big meet for Stance Nation, believe it or not, I parked my car behind a tree WAY in the back so nobody would see it.

Honestly, with some spacers and less of the stuff matching, the wheels don't look half bad, actually...maybe have them powdercoated in a dark gunmetal or something, love eveyrthing else about the car, especially the stance!! The wheels actually remind me of XXR527's!

To the bullet comment, thank you! lol...nice and sinister, just the way I wanted it.

I dont want to come on here and rub peeps the wrong way either. My apologies for being defensive. Just thought Id share pics of the new project car that I just got and already 1 week into the purchase I get dinged for mods I didnt even do haha.

Just to reintroduce myself to all... I have been in the car scene here in Toronto Canada for a long time. I will have a build thread when I actually get started on the car. I appreciate all the constructive criticism as well, just take it easy on the NOOB

As for my other project car... here are a few pics that will show "MY TASTE"
For the Mugen fans:
Mugen S1R seats
Mugen Spherical Shift Knob
Mugen Twinloop
Mugen MF8 in 4x114.3

This TL will be nothing like the EK but I got a few things planned and I will look to the Guru's for advice!

Thanks

I want those Mugen seats! So legit. I like the lime green wheels on black car, but it seems to be reasonably popular where I am. Saw two cars today with them lol

heishin2, lookin like we're not the guru's around here, buddy. VERY nicely done EK.
Welcome to the forums. I'm sure I won't be the first, but with your backround and great pictures, might I suggest you start a "build" threat in the photo gallery section of the forum!?!? I'm SURE you'd be a crowd favorite in no time!

I love the look of the lime green XXR's on a black TL. Such an interesting contrast. I assume that TL is on bags??

Lime green XXR TL is not mine but I think the owner said he coiled it down for the pic so... NO its not on bags.

Rockstar143: Wont be much of a build thread but.. yeah... Ill make one eventually.

gotcha! thought it was yours.
John, no, he's on ISC or FF coils maxed out or something...he raised it up right after because it was barely driveable.

They're S2000 wheels but I think they look like XXR's./

You sure we're talking about the same car? There are two black TL's in this thread with lime green wheels.

S2000 wheels:

XXR 527's:

Can't believe the TL with the XXR's isn't on bags...I didn't know any coilovers would go that low.

@UA6 - I don't know what exhaust that is, but it's definitely not the Type-S exhaust. I'm curious what it sounds like...

I can't imagine going any lower than where I'm at...I already scrape here and there now, so less driveable seems nuts to me.
