Honestly back in December I didn't think any of my plans would get accomplished anytime soon. I'm not complaining now though

Thanks fellas! It was well worth the wait
Don't get me wrong, I love the quads, but I'm not sure that's what I want on my car. I'm really digging the ATLP Base. If I suddenly come into a large amount of money then I'll do the Type-S rear and quads like Jon has, but for right now I have my sights set on the ATLP Base.
Good idea! I was thinking about doing that but I wanted the murdered look for the grill for now. Once the the grill is nasty with rock chips I may have to put that idea to use
Thank you sir
Thanks Steven! I'm glad it went through as well. I'm trying to be done with the car for a while now but then again I've been saying that for a month and got a new plate

^^^ Brother, you're never done. I did a couple of minor things this weekend too-and I said the same thing too.
I did a partial de-badge....I took off the word ACURA from the trunk. Then I did a couple of carbon fiber things that Jaime posted (jptl04).
I get bored and look for new things to do-even if there minute.

The plate was something I've always wanted to do. Now I have fun looking in the rear view mirror and seeing people in the car behind me trying to figure out what it means
I'm glad you haven't given up on your TL-S Steven! I'm looking forward to the day when you get some RJs and a drop. Maybe Santa will be generous this year?
Thank you sir! Sweet RL

Wow Nice Mod's
I thought I was done with mod's but after seeing your shit I think I will keep going. Love the A-spec Package and the Tein S-techs and the lights, ok, ok love all the mods.
Just something I noticed. When I added my A-spec rear skirt it kinded hid my muffler tips so I extended them and they just make the car look so much better. Look at my thread. I think you have the same issue I did. Cost me $50 bucks to do it I think it was well worth it for me.

I saw that thread when you posted it and I think it's a great idea! I'll look into having that done. Ideally I would just buy the ATLP Base Exhaust and not have to deal with extending the tips but I haven't found the money tree yet to help pay for that
Did you just have a local shop do it for you?

It never ends man! And thank you for the compliment, I really appreciate it. I'm happy with how far my car has some in such a short period of time.

I have a trusted local shop that could do it for me, but considering it doesn't seem too hard, I may save some money and just do it myself. I need a welding gun though.
I can't deny it, I'm addicted. Sometimes I wish I never would have started modding because the car could probably be paid off by now, but it's fun having people stare at my car at red lights and such. It's no Lamborghini but it's different than all of the TLs around here, which I like.

And thanks for the compliment! I'm not regretting my DSLR purchase whatsoever. Even though I'm no pro, it's fun experimenting with different angles and settings. I'm looking forward to seeing what your next car will be! I'm sorry you have to sell the TL-S, but you are doing it for a good reason
Welcome and congrats! I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned.

Thank you for the compliment! My car is defiantly slacking with power upgrades but don't worry, I've got plans to cover that! I'm a pretty chill driver so as of right now I'm going to get the car looking right and then I'll be focusing on the engine. Don't expect me to drop a S/C in it, but it won't be stock.
As of right now I'm saving my pennies to have my wheels powdercoated the original gunmetal color. They are 6 years old and starting to show their age. The paint is fading and starting to flake off, which is driving me crazy. I'm hoping to have them done by the end of summer!
I'm no pro when it comes to the 3G TL but I try my best to help out other member's questions!
I figured I would go ahead and update my mods list. I added a few things to my "to-do" list as well:

the mod plans look good. I wish i took my time to enjoy the modding but i did everything entirely to fast. I am slowly getting bored cause there are a few things left to do and all i can do are big money items. I like the idea of the turbo kit but i would prefer to spend speed mods on a car that can handle the speed and was designed for it. Anyways

I'm hoping to have the wheels powdercoated the OEM Gunmetal color by the end of the summer. By September/October I would like to have my sub installed. I'm getting a Uncald4 box from another member and then putting my 12" Alpine Type-R in it. I can't stand my blown stock sub anymore.

Daniel once again hooked me up on some shit for my car. After buying his Uncald4 fiberglass box and a friends amp, I got my 12" Alpine Type-R out of the garage and put everything back in the TL. Daniel and I decided to tackle this project ourselves instead of me paying a shop to do it. Here's what I added:
12" Alpine Type-R 4-ohm (SWR-1242D)
Rockford Fosgate 550.2 (p5502)
Rockford Fosgate 4-Gauge Wiring Kit
Uncald4 Fiberglass Box
We mounted the amp under the rear deck. We removed the stock subwoofer and ran the wires to the aftermarket subwoofer so I can independently control the bass and the subwoofer.
Because the amp was mounted from the top, I couldn't put back the black carpet. Oh well.
I bought a trunk tray a few months back and I love it. Unfortunately when I decided to buy the box, I realized that it would sit on top of my trunk tray. If for some reason I put wet clothes or whatever in the trunk, I was worried about water sitting under the sub. I took the trunk tray out and cut out the area where the sub would be. I used Gorilla Glue and a hot glue gun to mount the sides of the mat back together and spray painted it black so it blended in with the rest of the mat. Is it perfect? Not whatsoever, but it gets the job done.
You can see the area that I cut out and glued the side back on:

Amp and Sub:
Car is filthy but you get the point:
Yes I am missing the rubber seal that goes around the subwoofer and covers the screws. If anybody has one that will fit, please let me know. I've e-mailed both Crutchfield and Alpine USA to see if I can get one for a reasonable price.

I love this car.
Id cut out some of the carpet that goes on the decklid so it doesnt cover the amp but covers everything else.
