Nothing is new with the car but I did take some pictures
They didn't turn out as well as I wanted but oh well.
Nice and dusty just for you Sean...
And here's what everything looks like around school. It's your typical "middle of nowhere" southern area...
It happens...
And as soon as I started to upload my pictures, a chicken appeared outside of my apartment window...

Eff you and your tall gearing.
Do you find that you usually use M mode to shift gears?

I like how quiet it is and that I can leave my car in the driveway without a worry, but it is mind-numbingly boring where I am. I can only imagine its worse where Tylers school is.

civic, honestly, I'm more of a country dude, anyway, I like quiet and peaceful and nature, myself. BUT, having grown up in Miami (FL, not OHIO)...I like a city that's not too far away either.
Fk it, as long as there's a walmart nearby, we're good.

J, I'm the same way, my brother lives like 15 mins away from a small town in NC, I love it there but it does get boring super quick.

I just looked at those pics again on a computer instead of my phone....that 2nd b&w shot is fantastic. The tones are perfectly even without any under/over exposure. You should clone out that power line to give the pic a little more symmetry.

It's a great community, everyone is so nice and it's gorgeous, but it's really boring.
Thanks Steven! I almost didn't post that one, I don't like it too much
I actually had Zaxby's yesterday for lunch
The what?
That was the first time I had seen a chicken around campus. It was just chillin out there.
Where in NC does your brother live?
I actually edited that one more than any others. The bottom of the car was really dark and the sky was stupid bright. I toned down the upper half and then brightened the bottom.
Sadly I only have iPhoto so I can't take out the power line. I can send you the original high-res and you can mess around with it if you want

I had to search where that was. He's way over in the mountains. I'm about an hour south of Raleigh. Dunn/Benson/Lillington area. Specifically Buies Creek but that pretty much includes my school and that's it
Here are two more I edited and wanted to share...
That power line is really bugging me now

I don't mind you messing with the pics! It's greatly appreciated!
Like I posted before, I don't have any photo editing software besides iPhoto so I'm pretty much stuck with what I take
Feel free to go through and edit any pictures you want. I'm not sure if it's a hobby for you or what but feel free! Just make sure you post them here so I can drool over them

Great photography, Tyler! It really brings out all of the work you have put into your car. Too bad we're on opposite coasts. I would love to pair up for a photoshoot.

They are comfy as fawk! I hate going to Walmart but that's all I have out near school. Three pair for $8!
Maybe next year we can meet in Kansas for the National Meet
I haven't seen you on Acurazine lately. Have you been doing well? How's the TL?
That time is designated only for your car
Thanks Jay
You've been taking more pictures than I have recently. Maybe if I had that lens I would be too
Thank you

srsly bro, get one! even if its the 1.8, the only thing you'll miss is the high speed, but its hard to place yourself properly for fast shots anyway. It's a good learning process. I have to be FARRRRRR more aware of my body position rather than focal length adjustment.
If you had a nikon...$100 like I got mine for, thanks to Ebelp at least.
check fredmiranda dot com forums for photo classifieds

About 90% of the pictures in this thread were taken with my 18-250 paired up to my old D60 or my current D3100.
These are all with my Tamron 18-250...
I got a little carried away, sorry
I guess I'll give a little review of the lens:
I shoot a wide variety of subjects and wanted to have ONE primary lens to capture it all. I don't want to have to carry around a bag full of lenses and constantly change them out for different subjects. Zoom all the way out to get something close and zoom all the way in for stuff far away; it's as easy as that. I HAD to have AF and this lens offers it. Ideally I wanted the Nikkor equivalent but the Tamron was a fraction of the price. Plus it comes with a full warranty which is nice but it wasn't a deal maker or breaker for me.
I can only think of one drawback of the lens. If you use a DSLR, you zoom in and out by spinning the thing (sweet terminology huh). With the Tamron, I've used it so much that if you zoom in or out half way, it won't stay in that one spot. For example, if it's zoomed all the way in at 18mm, and if I turn the lens to face the ground, it won't stay where it is, it'll zoom all the way out to 250mm. It's a bit frustrating when you're trying to set up a shot, fine tuning the zoom and such, and then it slides out quick.
Besides that I love it. It's a great everyday use lens that I would highly recommend.
