Thanks Morgan! I actually like the look without the antenna more than with it. Flows better

Spacers are back on the car as well. +25 rear...

Notice anything missing from my car? Possibly something on the top half?

The roof looks fantastic.

Still gotta say, the license plate is the best thing on the car.

Did you roll the rear fenders at all? I'm getting some rub now with the A-Spec wheels on there and 25mm spacers.

Yeah my rear fenders are rolled and I'm running a 20mm spacer in the rear.

What are your wheel and tire specs?

Agreed. Btw I haven't rubbed at all since I switched to 235s in the rear, no matter if I go over a speed bump or anything. I'm loving it!

As I'm sure most of you know, the Official National Acurazine Meet is this Sunday in Kansas City. I'll be leaving VERY early Friday morning with my girlfriend and making the 1071 mile, 17-hour drive all in one day. Wish me luck

I'm running A-Spec with stock size rubber 235/40/18, 25mm spacers in the rear and getting some rub. I have a few options...

1) have the fenders rolled
2) go down to a 20mm spacer
3) justify coilovers due to the rub

decisions, decisions

Thanks Aman! Next is the 105k service. Fml.

After that? Probably saving up for some aftermarket wheels and coilovers. I'm not a baller like some people on this site so they will probably be some knock-off wheels. BBS LM are ideal but they are $1000 a pop. I've been looking into the Linea Corse LeMans since they are pretty much the same thing. The TE-37s have always had a place in my heart as well so I've been looking into the Varrstoen replicas. Who cares if they are fake? I'm a college student working 30 hours a week, I can't justify spending stacks on stacks of cash just to say "yeah they are Volks". Later in life I'll have the real deal but for now I can have the same look for less than half the price.

Lets just say that whatever wheels I decide to get, which won't be happening anytime soon btw, won't be an ordinary color. Something different that no one else on this site has tried.

Yes sir it finally is! Having my new brakes and my black roof are the two things I wanted to have on the car before the meet. A lot of money and time were spent having everything put on the car but I'm very pleased.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone over at the meet and checking out your ride in person

congrats Tyler, roof came out nice. have you thought of going darker on the rear window tint so it flows with the roof? btw what % tint do you have, 35?

if i ever get around to doing this mod i will leave my rear tint and go lighter on the sides. the darkness of mine draws too much attention from cops. ive got two tint tickets since ive done mine.

Thanks Jamie! I'm honored that a man of your stature visits my piss poor thread

Yeah I have 35% all around on my car. I wanted darker, ideally 15%, but I wanted to make sure I passed inspection and such. I've been considering having my rear glass re-tinted to 15% so it flows better for the roof but I'm putting my money towards the 105k service due shortly

So today my girlfriend and I drove to Kansas for the National Acurazine meet happening on Sunday. Here's what I accomplished...

30 mpg and I was flooring my shit through the tunnels of West Virginia. I'm very pleased. Long ass day though; got on the road at 3:30 and turned off the car here at almost 9:00. The time above doesn't show the time spent filling up with gas or getting food.

Looking good Tyler! I haven't seen it since the roof was done. Can't believe you are looking for new wheels; you just got the A-Specs powder coated!

Anyway, you gonna make it Sunday to meet up with everyone?

I didn't really go for the meet, I went for the people and the whole experience. I met some of the nicest people in the world, including Mega Mod Steven Bell, and had some great BBQ.

Switzerland? Wtf?

Haha thanks Mike! How have you been sir? Don't worry, new wheels won't be happening for another year or so and I'll be keeping the A-specs.

I usually work every Sunday but I'm going to see if I can sneak over there and chill with yall for a bit.

Exactly. Acurazine has drained my bank account.

I'll be posting some pictures from the meet here in this thread in a bit.

National Meet-6/12/11-Kansas City

Alright here's what went down on my long ass trip:

First I cleaned and prepped the car on Thursday. Waxing the car in direct sunlight isn't a good idea so I pulled it into the front yard. That's how we do it here in the south

Still no centercaps...

Mitzi and I got on the road at the ass crack of dawn...

Notice the time on TomTom. On the way we stopped 4 times, got gas each time and got food 2 of the times. We had Cracker Barrel in WV for breakfast, which was interesting to say the least, and then we had White Castle for lunch in western Kentucky. Mitzi had never been. Below is a picture of the mountain roads in WV. Note the time on the clock; Raleigh almost through WV in 2 hours 40 minutes is almost unheard of...

64W takes you right though the heart of St Louis so I got to see the arch in person...

St Louis traffic sucked balls. We got through downtown around 4:30 and rush hour traffic was pretty bad. Then the sky decided to fall out and my tape started to peel off everywhere. About 4 hours later we got to Kansas City...

The next day I slept until 10:30 or so and hit up a dank ass BBQ place called Oklahoma Joes. Here in the south the BBQ is vinegar based while BBQ out west is more sauce based; Mitzi and I were eager to try it out...

After stuffing my face, I hit up Steven Bell who lives and works in Kansas City. He gave me a shout out on the radio station he works for and suggested that Mitzi and I check out an area called "The Plaza". Mitzi and I drove about 15 minutes there and walked around for a bit. Gorgeous area with lots of money...

That's the damn Cheesecake Factory ...

Lulz...

After the Plaza we went and just hung out for a few hours until Steven got off of work. We met up with him and the Chicago crew and went across from the Acura dealership to meet with everyone who was going to Dave and Busters for dinner that night...

Here's everyone parked at D&B...

Steven Bell, Daniel (Fulani has a TL), and Mitzi and I left Dave and Busters around 11 and went to sleep. The next day I got up, got Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and hit the dealership for the meet. Here's just two pictures of the meet itself...

More pictures can be found here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/cltothe...7626961685458/

And here:

http://photobucket.com/nationalacurazinemeet2011

5:00 rolled around and just about everyone left. OakTre (Tyler) and I decided to get put our cars in front of the dealership and take a few pictures...

Yours truly earlier in the day...

Steven Bell and Jim from Jay Wolfe Acura giving out all sorts of shit...

During the meet you could go into the dealership and check out the owner's cars; a fully equipped Comptech NSX and a Ferrari 430 Spider. The white GT500 can be yours for $42k...

When everyone was there, you couldn't go past yellow tape to check out the cars. Since everyone left, Jim put away the tape and allowed me to get close to the cars to take better pictures. Those are posted in my Flickr album linked above.

After the meet a few of us (Steven Bell, swoosh, Buda, Jim from the dealership) went to a local BBQ place. I can't remember the name of it but it was dark, sketchy, and the employees kept yelling at you in line. "HI MAY I HELP YOU?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

After that Buda and I went to Steven Bell's house and got a tour of his newly remodeled home. We sat on the back deck and threw back a few beers and talked for a few hours. Mitzi and I rolled out of there around 9 to get some sleep for the next day. We were on the road at 2:37am and pulled into my driveway at 8:19pm. A long drive was made even longer by bullshit construction in the WV mountains. Two lane roads were down to one and it was a pain in my ass. Here's a quick look at the drive home...

St Louis:

Getting into southern Illinois:

Kentucky:

And some random mountain in NC that Mitzi and I thought looked like a boob with a huge nipple on top ...

After pulling into the driveway...

Keep in mind that's all done within 4 days and I didn't drive more than 30 miles on Sunday.

Big shout out to everyone who attended the meet, the vendors who gave a lot of shit away, Jay Wolfe Acura and it's employees especially Jim (mattyloudness), Steven Bell, the Chicago crew, Mem04TL who drove from TN, gr8ness97 who drove from ATL, Buda for organizing the judging, OakTre (Tyler), and anyone else I hung out with/talked to at the meet. Here are the award winners...

I'm second from the left. I won the "Mad Max" aka "Road Warrior" award for driving the furthest. When I told people that we drove from NC for the meet, they were speechless.

I had a blast and I hope that more people from further away are willing to make the meet next year!

Great pics! I looked through all of them on Flickr. What a hell of a trip, had to have been a blast. I should've gone. Only 482 miles...next year.

Do you hicks not have White Castle in NC?
