your car is 100% sextastic! I need to do work on mine ASAP, but the funds have been kind of short due to the actual car payments.
after that, its going to be party time in the garage!

Wow, sorry for the late response guys! I had no idea anyone else replied to this thread.
Thank you sir! Trust me, pay off your car and then mod it. Unfortunately I opted to mod before paying it off and it's still not paid off. Hopefully by the end of the year it will be.
Thanks
You never got to hear it in person because your bitch ass left the meet early for a football game
BUT it's your lucky day Aaron, I got bored today and made another short video of my exhaust. It was crazy windy outside and my iPod didn't do the best job of capturing the true sound of the exhaust. I really want to get some sort of HD video camera.

Same back to your ride sir!
Now you may think that this post is positive and happy, but it's actually the opposite. I'm checking in here to show off what happened at work last night...
Fuck.

Lulz, you guys are funny.
I'm actually pretty pissed it happened. One of those water run off things was sticking out further than the curb, which I didn't notice at the time, and sliced right up against it. I'm FINALLY getting my wheels powdercoated with in the next week or two and this shit happens. I guess I'll have to get the touch up paint out of the closet for the time being. I can't afford to have the wheels done and fix my bumper/lip.
My girlfriend is because I'm so pissed
And I'm like
and like this at the same time
I'm starting to realize that modding cars sometimes just isn't worth it

Dang....
harder on white, but that is ABSOLUTELY repairable with touchup spraypaint, clearcoat, wait 3 days then westand and buff...it'll be hard to notice!
Car is sounding amazing Tyler...amazing. Really love it.
Are you CAI>Jpipe>ATLP exhaust?

And thanks man! I love the exhaust! It's actually just CAI >ATLP Exhaust. Keep in mind that the exhaust is non-resonated. I have plans for the ATLP V2 J-Pipe and ATLP Race Pipe but 1) funds are low, and 2) the J-Pipe deterioration thread sort of freaks me out.

Yes sir. I need to stop modding and start saving for a place of my own.
Yeah I've been looking into getting a rattle can of WDP. I'll probably fix the other side of my lip that I put into a curb last year. Geez, yall must think that I can't drive for shit

Where can you get a rattle can of OEM paint? I had this idea of painting the hood grill trim SSM to match the car and then spraying the bottom V trim with plastic dip like I did my grill.

and tyler, totally understand the need to stop modding and start saving for your own place.
i'm doing both right now, and it is not easy. i'm gonna need to calm down here in a little bit and start saving as well...but first i need coilovers and new wheels...argh!

I'm thinking once I get some coilovers and a few more mods
, I might take it easy.
Tyler that sucks that you can't drive. I hope you get it fixed soon.

Hate to say it Tyler but you're not gonna find wdp in a rattle can. trust me I tried. I had wdp up from napa but it doesn't have the pearl in it. They told me as well as a couple other spots that for our color they can't put pearl in it. But the carbon grey pearl can be made with it which I don't get but hey whatever. Just let the lip go for awhile wait til it gets jacked up a bit more or just try to touch it up as best you can.

I hear you man, I am probably selling my car this summer for a down payment on a condo. I'm gonna be 24 this year, it's time

I'm hoping to get a spray can of WDP from paintscratch.com. I've heard good things about the site so I may bite the bullet and see what they can do.

I'm in the same boat, saving for a house and modding is not easy at all, specially when you see something you really want for the car. But renting really sucks your paying for something that you'll never own.

After I got the A-Spec kit on and such, I thought I was done, but noooooooooo. The exhaust, now the wheels getting powdercoated, probably j-pipe next. My girlfriend is slowly stopping to support my car habit.
You can't tell by the picture but the gash is actually pretty deep into the lip. Yeah I can throw some touch up paint on it but it won't be flush with the rest of the lip. Blah.
I wish it was that easy.
Speaking of buff, can I use your orbital sometime this summer? My car has hella swirls. Hella hella.
House > car. If the TL weren't almost paid off and such a reliable car, I would sell it to make a down payment. BUT it's running fine and I'm never going to get the money back that I've put into it. Might as well run it into the ground.

I'm going to get the touch up paint out tomorrow and do what I can, but I already know it's not going to do much.

If it doesn't have the pearl in it, what color are they making? WD? lol...
Although difficult to find, I got super lucky when they changed the labeling of the duplicolor paint cans I went to pep boys and found NBP in a rattle can!
BUT paintscratch.com should work. Another option (especially if you're in Miami) is to go to an actual auto paint place that mixes colors. You go there with your gascap and they can MAKE you paint and I am almost positive they can put it into a spray can.
Also, I heard some white honda paints have a single stage and not a base/clear.
Anyway, about owning a home...it's overrated fellas. It really is...I mean, yeah if I were buying NOW, it'd be great. But since I bought when I was 24...I made money, I paid off an ex and then lost money and now sit upside down (note to self, NEVER put a girls' name on title of home unless married) in a major way and have had to resort to drastic measures to try and have a fresh start.

there are ups n downs of having your own place tyler, as i'm sure you already know.
you get freedom to do what you want, you get to put your own key in your own door, throw parties, whatever.
however, you gotta pay rent/mortgage note every month, gas n electric, cable, groceries, insurance, and just basic living necessities all add up faster than you would think. plus if you own your own place, if something goes wrong...you have to fix it with your own money.
right now i'm renting (i hate it) it's like leasing a car...you pay some asshole every month for something you have to turn back in after a little while.
it's tough to do it all at once, car payment, modding, rent, going out, girlfriends, blah blah blah...
my advice? move out when you are financially able to. save a few grand, and then make the plunge. and don't settle on a place, move into the place that totally suits your needs. no compromises.
you planning on moving in with your girl? that is also a good n bad thing lol...good bc things are split in half, bad bc you NEVER know what is going to happen between the 2 of you. i've learned that lesson twice in the past lol
anyway, good luck with whatever you end up doing.
the grass always seems greener on the other side, but often times the lawn is harder to cut.

Trust me I find it to be dumb too but this is what I was told. Back when I had my 90 teg I had the color torino red pearl and could not find that color in any can nor could it be made for a rattle can. Some colors can be made and some can't but if this place posted can make it then hey I'm in for some too.

Whats up with RDX owners?
iTrader: (9)
Tyler, check out paintscratch.com
They have WDP spray cans. Theyre expensive though. They dont mention anything about not having the pearl in them, but Id call them just to be sure.
You might be able to do it with regular touch up paint but youll need to really smooth it out after its dry.
