I have all the details in my thread LOL....
am looking to build a front splitter which is have a entrance (for air) in the bottom to keep the air circulating in the engine bay.....
and a rear diffuser....
plus thinking of doing couple mods (cutting up the front bumper) to have some air come in (will install an intercooler as well)
finally wanna do something with the hood to have some more air come in....
the basically the mods are for more engine bay air circulation and dropping those temps really LOW !!

Sorry guys for the lack of updates and track days so far this summer. Just finished up a month of Survival School (SERE) in Washington and am moving to Omaha in about 2 weeks. Should be updating with some NT-01's and new brakes later this month and hope to back on track ASAP...so stay tuned!

lol don't worry, I'll be TRYING to get you to my new track all the time haha
Well I have, but the purposes of the vertical ones is to prevent excess air from getting under the car and making lift. Whereas the horizontal ones would more be for downforce and creating vortices down the side of the car. So yes, I have considered adding a horizontal piece for the benefits I mentioned but haven't done a whole lot of research on it yet.

Sweet thanks man! Yeah I pretty sure I blew out the ABS pump at Road Atlanta last year. I can feel the ABS and EBD working a lot while on track and then mid-corner the rear locked up and I got the lights on the dash and have had rear biased brakes ever since. I haven't been able to have the codes read but am pretty sure that's the problem. I'm wanting to do new brake lines, fluid, pads, and even rotors but I know that if I flush the fluid and go to bleed it without getting the ABS to engage, I'll never get all the air out and that's obviously no good. So I'm going to replace the ABS pump and hope it fixes it.
BTW, do you have the page for the VSA neutral memorization thing? Page 19-94?
Thanks again!

You have an HDS? You might be able to get a loaner from a shop, otherwise it's $130~

Honda Diag Sys
It should interface a laptop / computer but there might be handheld ones. From a little digging.. some say the china / ebay ones aren't worth the money.

I guess I thought there would have been more detail in the service manual. Short story for now is I am replacing all my wheel speed sensors to help ensure my ABS problems go away. But I can't get the front wheel speed sensors into the front spindles...The old ones were a bitch to remove and the holes look fine but the sensor won't go all the way down into the spindle. Anybody have any ideas on how to get this done?

^^^ what kind of problems are you having with the ABS?
have you thought about an ABS delete?

Crisis averted - got the sensors in. Gave the car some juice and NO ABS/VSA lights as of now...so hopefully all is well for now..
ABS Delete? meh...it'd be a hell of a lot of work and I honestly don't know how the car would deal with it electronically. Meaning with the EBD and VSA and whatnot. I would like to manually control my brake distribution though.

Alright guys here ya go,
Been a pretty crazy summer so far this year with moving and everything but I FINALLY got everything back together and made it back to my home track, BIR in Minnesota. As I've talked about above, I've been plagued with some ABS/VSA issues since Road Atlanta last year. So I took the stance of "just replace everything" and hope it fixed the problem lol. I replaced the ABS pump (or VSA modulator to acura) and all the wheel speed sensors and boy did I open a can of worms with that. The ABS pump and rear wheel speed sensors went in fine but the front's were a whole different story. Basically because of the heat of braking on track, the front sensors (which go right through the hub down into the back side of the wheel bearing) straight up MELTED to the hub and destroyed the sensors. So I literally had to pull both front hubs off the car and DRILL the melted sensors out of the hubs and replace them. It was a colossal PITA but I guess worth it in the end. Here are some pics of the inner part of the sensor.
Before I messed with it to get it out:
After I tried to just tap it out (so to speak) and the sensor basically crumbled from the heat it's seen.
Now to the fun stuff!
Recent updates to the car include:
New slotted front/rear rotors
better set of stainless lines
fresh Motul
And the biggest update of the year thus far is my new tire selection....I guess I'll just let the pic do the talking...
that's right guys, a nice sticky set of Hoosier R6's lol Let's just say...they're AWESOME
Here are a couple of pics from the BIR event last week. Was a pretty quiet event so I got lots of wide open track all to myself.
end of the day reminder of the grip I enjoyed all day lol DPIC gauge in the car was saying 1.1G all day long and I'm sure there's more to give.
Did some rough lap time comparison to the last time I was on that track, back in 2010 when the car was basically stock and I was running 2:03's or 2:04's then and was easily in the 1:54's this time. pretty darn good improvement if you ask me.
Editing the vids now and I'll have them up when I can.

Spent the weekend in my buddy's STI at a track in Nebraska and realized rather quickly what my car is lacking....POWER! lol It was amazing having 370 torques at my disposal anytime I wanted it.
What's everyone think for new power adders? I'm liking the idea of the new TL IM and TB, and obviously would really like the new ECU but any other ideas?

Whats up with RDX owners?

More throttle bodies.

Oh yeah, forgot to post up that I was given an Aim Solo GPS lap timer for being best man in my buddy's wedding. It's going to make testing/tuning and going faster a whole lot easier and I'm really lucky to have one.
