they were aiming at 200K for that ugly looking thing LOL....a "friend" of mine wants to sell his 458 Italia for 210K, I would rather get that haha....
if i get a GTR I would get the 2010/2011 gtr modded (AMS Alpha 8 or Switzer P800) for 80-85K and call it a day....
I have very old 60SMT turn signal...they only look bright when the sun goes down LOL....am kidding, they are great for what I paid for them and they have been going good since 2008

Meeks, took this screeshot just for you....this is kinda of fun I have...
on the highway, I am usually doing 75-80mph (speed limit here is around 70 for most part of the highway)....but the fun is on the exits, taking them cloverleaves at 60mph LOL....i think I could have gotten to .7g if the car in front of me didnt slow down dramatically....
still not bad for no tire squeal and on all season tires

With four adults they aren't. 0-60 is quick at 4.3 seconds but after that from my experience I wouldnt pay that much. A stock mustang gt would have little problem beating it. The thingis they are heavy. We were in 3rd and 4 gear ranges. I actually topped 4th once and they never lost me. It did sound good and high revving.

I just looked up their 0-100 and 1/4 11seconds to 100 and 12.8 but only trapping at 108 with four adults it's easy to see why I had no trouble with it. I'm about 260whp and 3300lbs with me in the car.

Just dinner? I owe you more than that
Let me guess, you bought the rims from Jeremy
Because I know that bastid wouldn't sleep before trying them on the S... and guessing he didn't because I didn't receive a text msg.
Yes you bought them didn't you
I loved the first shot too, because of your headlights

LOL, forgive me but I've done ZERO with my car in the last week. I do plan to test fit before making a final decision but if I do sell, Anil...you're first choice.
I miss them though, I won't lie.

I swapped the true dual exhaust for XlR8 V2 Jpipe and XLR8 base exhaust plus cash....the transaction didnt go as smooth as we anticipated but well....
I figured if am planning on selling the car in the near future, I might get an exhaust which I can undo and put it in a box and sell....my exhaust was all 1 piece and I didnt want to cut her open to just ship her....so when a local hit me up with the offer, I took it....
before the swap, I finally put the car on the dyno and I made a whooping 213whp and 195wtq and the guy was like "this is impressive"....I looked at him like:
he told me that the chart is SAE corrected and this dyno reads 10% lower....I was like dude whatever....I was hoping to see 260+ and even if it reads 10% lower, I would be at 213 + 21.3 = 234.3whp which is less than satisfactory... !!!
the next run the car put down 218whp and 202wtq....at this point they were like we gonna let the car cool down and then run it again....so I happened to ask them, what gear are you running her in....the genius replied "4th"....
I reminded him that its a damn 5AT...you need to run it in 3rd and the first 2 runs they did were JUNK....the gearing ratio on the 5AT, 3rd is closes to 1:1 and 4th is 0.66 and hence its reading that low....
after the car cooled down, they ran it again and this time in 3rd and she came at 233whp and 2xx (forgot) wtq....I asked them to run it again but they were running short of time and had to unstrap me off there....
they have to email me the graphs and when they do I will be posting them up....at 233 I was kind of happy coz if the dyno indeed runs 10% low, I would be at 233+23.2 which is 256.2whp which is closer to 260+ as I was hoping....
If he would have run again I was sure to see another couple horses and be closer to 240 on the chart and 263 without the 10% loss....
either way, I am tempted to go to a different dyno where the dyno doesnt read lower, as if loosing 20-22% in Automatic drivetrain losses were not enough for them ....the damn dyno ate up another 10% of what my motor is making....but if I go to a different dyno, I wont be able to see the different in my true dual and XLR8's exhaust setup....
this just got me thinking....at the national meet, I ran a Type S 5AT with all possible bolt ons (intake, manifold, PCD, richie v3 jpipe and true dual exhaust PLUS a hondata tune) and I beat him by 2 car lengths....he claimed he was putting down 298whp....I believed him since I have seem Type S 5at put down 280-ish without a hondata tune....I was at 2980lbs with me and the pregger wifey in there....totally to 3310lbs and he was at 3700 lbs with him in it....so if 100lbs is 10whp (as Tim had mentioned) 400lbs is 40whp, so I technically should be more than 258whp since I beat him....
I might hit up the same dyno and just go with their word of it running low and get it tuned there....once I get it tuned and get the final numbers, I will hit up another dyno to compare the numbers....
either way, after looking at the numbers and not willing to spend any more $$$ on the car, I think my 300whp dream is far fetched

haha...well I certainly hope it was LOL....
when I saw 213whp, I was OK, the base 5AT STOCK puts down 205-208....please tell me I didnt spend total of 3.5K on my intake and exhaust setup to gain 5whp LOL...
233 was still a relief, but I want to continue going here so I can compare the mods/etc....then will hit up a different dyno which doesnt read as low...
you can see it in the B&W shot as well

According to vit edyno my 5 speed type s is making 270.8 HP and 257 lb
This weekend I be going to a real dyno to see the real deal and see how close is edyno to real dyno.

too much focus on horsepower. Don't get too hung up on it, man. dyno charts are only good for before/after gains of mods, and insight into how the car is actually running at WOT through the entire rpm band. You know this.

The way my car ride now is like I have a new car . To be honest I like it more with the street tuning better then last summer dynotuning I had.

I wanted to gauge if my car is headed in the right direction and it was certainly disappointing....but yeah, I will get couple more dynos done with the XLR8 exhaust and a jpipe....and then a dyno WOT tune followed up a street tune...
prolly next week
yeah I think a lot of folks just dyno tune for higher rpm....since its not a good idea to street tune while you are at 6000rpm

nice....yeah VIT is a great tool IMO....eager to see the results...
brother am totally with you....but since they told me 213, I have been having sleepless nights LOL....

Couple updates (maintenance related)....
Since I did the transmission cooler, I was getting some flaring going from 2nd to 3rd when the fluid was cold....once the transmission/fluid warmed up, everything was good....So far I had done a 5x3 with Type F and this go around I did a 2qt D4 and 1qt Type F...drove it around 50 miles and boom no more flaring....the shifting got wayyyy quicker and I love this new feeling
here is what the color looked like....nice and pink-ish...
http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/11094526626/http://www.flickr.com/photos/44051364@N00/11094526626/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/44051364@N00/, on Flickr
I am digging the XLR8 exhaust so far....the exhaust note is muffled and I like it to be open but I think my exhaust was loud and this is a lot more mellow....my exhaust was like a roar and this is more of a purrr LOL....
I also have an update with the MS3 but more on that later
Also have an update with a jpipe and more on that later as well...

since the XLR8 exhaust I have been noticing that am running a tad bit rich....with my true dual, I was running a little lean....the difference is pretty noticible....
during normal cruising and part throttle I was running 14.7-15.1 on my duals and not am running 14.1-14.7....I am liking the feeling....seems like a little more power....the timing is still around the same....
and I did a cheap little mod....I have been hearing all the hype about grounding kits and wanted to make something at home...I had some 4 gauge wire at home and I just bought some metal connectors and went to work....
I upgraded the wire which grounds the block, the wire which ground the chassis in 2 places and also upgraded by adding another wire to the transmission block....
So with the car running lean and the home made grounding kit and some D4 in the transmission, the car seems to have a tad bit more power and shifts like a dream....
also got in the gasket kit from XLR8 which I might be putting in this weekend, awaiting approval from Sid to go do some work on the car

you can see 2 wires going from the ground via quick disconnect....one to the chassis and one to the transmission....since the transmission ground was kinda tight, instead or replacing it, I just added to it...
the 2 wires going from the positive are both going to the starter....the car starts up easier even thought the battery has only 300CCA

Part 1- The block wire upgrade, you just replaced the wire? Nothing else?
Part 2 no idea. I just have one goes to the chassis from battery, and positive goes to the somewhere I don't know of haha

yes...over time, the bare ground wire corrodes and doesnt conduct as well....
a better ground means a better spark, the fuel ignites better (theoretically thats how its supposed to work)...
about the positive, it goes from the battery to the starter and splits off from there to go to your fuse box (under the hood)
what I did is, for the positive, I wired the battery to the starter unit and the wire which goes to the fuse box, I split that (connected another wire there), so part goes still goes to the fuse box and part goes inside to one of the 3 switches and all my electricals (amp, lights, radar, radio, tablet charger, everything I installed) are powered off that....so when turning the car off, I first turn the switch off so any of the items I connect wont drain the tiny battery
better?
