am leaning towards the FI route....and Turbo at that (of course cost depending)....lost of places that can make custom piping in KC but this go around, I want to go to a place which has a ton of experience with Honda...
so its just going to be piping for the turbo/intercooler/etc....if all goes well, I will be installing RDX 440CC injectors in a few weeks....the target am looking at is about 350-370whp, I have been tuning the car using the MS3....
I am hoping the stock fuel pump will be able to support my needs...I dont think I will running WMI and might be keeping the stock heads (hence compression) and bottom end....
either way, will text ya as well so we can see how much its going to cost me for the piping and we can make something work.....
Thank you Sir...you making me

ok.. so when going with the j37 mani and TB does it all bolt right in? ? will the hood even close?lol..... does the TB need to be shaved down at all? Im just wondering cuz I'm considering this set up:
HTSpec J37 Intake Manifold and Throttle Body Package, 2004-08 Acura TL &TL-S - HeelToe Automotive
I'm sure the answer is in here somewhere but theres like a million posts

+1 to what as already been said...bolts right up...
For the TB, you can either go the 3.7 TL route or the 3.7 ZDX route...the ZDX throttle body is a lot cheaper but a lot of folks have reported a idle searching/surging issue....I have had zero issues with mine...
For the manifold, you have the 3.7 TL or the 3.7 MDX/ZDX, if I remember correctly (been ~4 years since I did this mod), but the MDX/ZDX manifold is different since the internal chambers are different...its geared more for low end, whereas the TL internals are geared more for high end power...
I have the 3.7 TL Manifold and TB...they were ported and polished by a local head shop...they were port matched with the runners (3.2 runners) which are ported and polished as well...
I have coupled this with a 4" intake (its kind of insane, and if I were doing it again, I would look at 3.5" or even 3.25")....
I hope this helps dude...let me know if you need the parts list, I should have it sitting somewhere
Bolts right in with no real issues. If going the J37 mani/TB route, you might as well spend the extra bucks and get the mani/runners PnP'd by Gerzand and TB bored by Maxbore. From what others have said in the various J37 threads, its well worth it. Alternately, you can do it yourself if you've got the tools, but I think getting it done by someone who has worked on countless J37 manifolds by now is the best bet
Maxbore (the guy who setup the coupon code a while back but then took it down, George) stopped working on DBW TB's...I reached out to him couple years back and he was not at all interested in doing DBW TB's since he got a huge hit from someone....he was on the one who did awesome work on my 3.2 TB which I sold to Justin(space)...
not sure if George has restarted doing DBW TB's but if he has, I would totally recommend his work!

Also, Jeremy modded the tails for me...I got a good deal on stocks and had them shipped right over to him, but a tab was broken when Jeremy got em...I thought I would be able to fix the tab but it didnt quite work out for me LOL...I still have them, Jeremy did a great job for the price...I am totally happy with these tails...

Took the caliper off, and these pads would have gone an easy 4-5K miles more...JEEZ! I went from HAWK HPS to RacingBrake ET500
old pads, still plenty of life left

It was the yearly detailing time...this falls 2-3 weeks before the meet...I usually do this between early - mid May...but since we have had insane amount of rain this year, it pushed this back couple weeks...
The process done was:
Rinse - Wash with Blue Dawn - Rinse - Wash with Chem Guys Mr Pink and use that as clay lube - Clay - Rinse - Wash with Mr Pink again to remove any deposits - Rinse - Dry
After checking paint condition, I didnt have many deep swirls...so I didnt feel the need to do a Menzerna SI 1500...I jumped on the Menzerna SF4000 with a white pad, followed it with Wolfgangs sealant, I let it cure for 48 hours, rinsed her down and put another layer of sealant on it...let that cure for a week and put some Griots garage wax on it...

Ironic, I posted those questions while you were posting car updates.
Looks great, man...your CE's are one of the only times I've seen them and actually love them. Maybe it's a NBP brotherhood thing...

With the car, nothing new, the rear seats are back in, car suspension is more tuned to the soft side so the kid can ride in my car...going to put the carpet and couple other things back in to add some sound deadening...
maybe some more power is in the future, but for now, am just enjoying her for what she is

Moar pics of the headlights!
Also, out of curiosity Anil, what did you use (or was it a shop?) to paint the A-Spec rear lip trim (the part in between the exhaust tips that's usually gray). I'm thinking of doing it black and doing the front lip trim black as well to match and wanted some ideas
(Also I will get around to getting the MS3 from you sometime soon, just been super busy )

no effing way you are adding weight! AHHHHH
Hey, minds change, priorities change. I'm with you brother.
Nothing new with me...I guess owning 2 cars kinda makes you happy and also opens up the possibility for selling one and buying something else. Trying to NOT keep up with the Jones' and keep no car payments.
House shit, you already know...constant stuff to do...wifey good, life good, job good, dogs good.
Sid has to be in College by now...when is round 2?

I traded my base bumper for a base bumper + type S aspec lip...back in the days, I did not like quad tips at all...so I traded that for base bumper + base aspec lip....ohh how dumb was I LOL....
but yeah the trim pieces were paint matched...
...and take your time Sir...I have been kinda torn as well...I recently let go of a good deal on a fully bolted on Type S 6MT...if I go that route, the MS3 is all yours the very next day

Hmmm...
I have a hard time justifying the move to the same car (better, obvi)...although maybe I won't be as sad if I had another (CARBON BRONZE FUCKING PEARL PLEASE!).
yes, you're right...PAID!

I think it all depends on the condition of the 6MT (I dont care of the miles, as long as its taken care off)...Ideally I would love the have a KBP, but agreed, CBP is an awesome color! I am definitely staying away from the NBP this time LOL....
hahaha...dude, I have been through sooo many setups...I am actually looking to change it up again

At this point you could probably build a 12:1 motor with the OEM 3.7 crank or go with the TB Motorworx kit, built heads and cam it, and I'd bet my money on being able to put down 350 at the wheels on 94 oct. You could go even more aggressive with the CR if you have higher octane gas available to you. Plus I think that the guys that have stayed NA with the j35 and j36 builds have all had significantly less issues than those running turbos. Every single one of the recent j35 turbo builds has broken something internally.
That is if you decide to go with a Type S
Also we now have custom gear sets readily available for the 6MT from MFactory that are relatively affordable if that tickles your fancy

Bert's AT failed at 450-ish whp, engine at 525 whp (if memory serves me right)...I honestly wanted to do a 3.6 stroker with type S heads and a SC....I havent spoken to, but want to talk to procharger, since they are local and see how much it would cost to throw a centrifugal unit on here and tune it...am sure it will run upwards of 6-7K but I will be making 375whp easy...
its ALLLL up in the air...I just want to get the interior to where I want it first....the dash hasnt been the best, I want to finish that up, then the carpet goes back in, depending on how much weight am adding to the car, I will pull the trigger on one of the options
I have an update sitting ready (will post tonight), just for you mah nukka....dont you fucking go anywhere
