Hey thanks for the reply swoosh! Glad you understand my question was sincere and not trying to be dickish. I like what you've done to the ride, and it is one my favorite cars on the forum. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to following this thread to see what all you do next!

yup...safety first....i do have everything installed and after the install i did ask my neighbor (240 odd pounds) to sit in the car and tug on the seatbelts before i took it for a spin....
but yes, i need to do it right
ohhh i know you were not being a douche bro....you just had some genuine question....
i love how my car responds to the additional power and light weight....i have ordered some new coils which i will be installing when i get em in....this will be an adjustable coilover so I can set it to stiff and experience what Tim is experiencing
And thank you sooo much for your complement, made my day
but yes, i need to do it right

hahaha Tim...it wont be slammed
it will be lowered with a little bit of tucking the tire (not rim) LOL
but yeah i have to go back and eat my words about the limitations of the diet...i just got the rear end links replaced with Moog end links and while I was at it, i changed the RSB setting to stiff and the car seems more planted just by that at 80+mph....it is awesome how a simple setting can make sooo much difference in the whole car being more responsive and planted at higher speeds....

Here is an update:
I went ahead and swapped my Tein Basics with the new ISN N1 coilovers with Street/Sport (12/8) springs....the only stiffer springs than this out there were Race which are 14/10 and I didnt want to take a risk was a lot stiffer springs on my DD...
Initial impressions:
First they look AWESOME....i know looks is not how you decide on coils or brake but damn they look sexy....I got these from Henry (anthracitecl) and he gave me a hell of a good deal....Thanks again Henry....
Come install day, i took them to a friends place (OUTLAWD aka Robbie)....his biceps > his air tools > my biceps LOL....i really couldnt have done the install without him (thanks bro)....I kept around 1/2 inch to maxxx out upfront and more than an 1 inch and half in the rear....this setting brought me to where my teins were sitting....i havent gotten an alignment done yet but i do have to go in for that....am thinking of running -1.5deg camber upfront and -1 deg camber in the rear....
about the drop/droop/preload...Callahan buddy, thanks for replying to my text after hours and answering my calls in the morning....i really bugged you LOL...my car does not sit as low as ebelp's (John's) car...it sits a lot closer to Callahans car....and i blame it on the spring rate + weight loss....I havent adjusted droop/preload yet as I wanted the springs to settle in before i mess with any of that....
I experienced some clunking with the ISC coils and it really put a hole in my heart....but there was John (ebelp) with some putty and a rattle can....he pinpointed the issue and boom no more noise....the issue was the top 19mm bolt being loose....
dampening: I have the dampening set to 5 all around (with 1 being stiffest)....again, this has been done this way as an insurance policy....once the springs settle in and i get some miles on the coils, i will go to the stiffest setting and run a droop of 1"-1.25"
ride: the ride is just awesome. i love how they ride stiffer, more connected to the ground but at the same time dont clunk of thud when i hit bumps....wifey did approve the ride quality
I know after i adjust the droop the ride might get a lot more "stiffer" as there is less spring movement, so lets take this a step at a time
weight: the front weighed in at 1.3lbs less EACH....the rears came in at 4.4lbs less EACH....total weight lost by switching from Teins to ISC is 11.4lbs
summary
Pros of the ISC N1: Cost, 32 dampening levels, solid construction, comes with top hats, drop-ability and range of drop, weight
Cons of the ISC N1: Drop adjustment post install
I loved how the Teins adjusted by just rotating 2 rings and locking them in where you wanted them....with the ISC N1's you have to almost uninstall them....you have to loosen the bottom fork bolt to adjust the height for the front's and remove the bottom bolt to adjust the height of the rears....i understand the Teins dont provide an ability for preload and droop adjustment and hence this con is something i can overlook....
Here is the weight loss sheet...i just lost over 600lbs
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...mpoWFZKNVVOZnc
I will be removing the rear door panels and other trim pieces which were left in the car....i should surpass 625 lbs by this weekend
couple days before the install of the coils, i just stopped by a weigh station and i was at 3080 lbs on the scale (without me in the car) which comes to very very close with Tim's way of measuring stuff....I was not sure if even half a pound taken off the car will show up on the scale but guess what, it does....
Next couple weight loss mods:
1> I think i will need new rotors in the next 5-10K miles....I have no complains the Powerslot Rotors lasted me ~100K miles....I will be going with RB 2-piece rotors
2> When i do my brakes, i will remove the front splash guard and the rear parking brake
3> A different steering wheel to go with the interiors
These should help me with ~30lbs of weight lost
4> Lightweight rims and tires - Around 60+ lbs of static weight to be lost here....
Next couple weight addition mods:
NRG Harness bar - ~15 lbs
Finishing up my dash and incorporating cup holders - ~8-10 lbs
I would like to see how long my engine/transmission will hold up before I go for a full on engine build....i should be doing this around 230-240K miles....am sitting pretty at 160K (159,524) miles right now....

Pics aren't showing up for me either Anil. If I can get away this weekend, we will be sure to do a shoot. We need to set aside a time to do it so I can finally get some pics of yours/Matt's/Steven's cars

Hmmm, I thought it was me...I've noticed at times that I'll get the x's and then when I go home if I see the same thread, they'll be the correct pictures. Maybe the hosting site is down?
Some legit DSLR pics of your car from good angles to do it some justice, that'll work! Take Oaktre up on that!

I remember that you said that you was mainly interested in handling versus drag racing. If so, please get the RB 2-piece rotors like you are planning. When I installed mine, I easily noticed a nice increase in the handling of the car due to the lighter rotating mass. The car acted like I had increased the steering box ratio because the car became so eager to change direction (turn-in, lane change, etc.)
And PLEASE install your RB ET500 pads too !

saw your car and she looked shinny
Nooo! You're doing it the hard way! No disassembly is needed to adjust the ride height. You must've missed the vid I made to demonstrate this:

i have nothing but love for you man....yes, i was indeed doing it the wrong way....so we have NO CONS for the coilover so far
yeah i think something with the links...need to figure it out later today

Could it be the hosting site?! What are you using? These are broken too! At least for me...I'm on google chrome.
With John's direction above on how to adjust, do you think you'll be able to go a little lower than you originally thought possible with your springs?

could be....
i was just able to see them a minute back....i think its the image dimensions....i use photoshop dot com to host....looks like i might have to switch
i dont think the direction changes on how much more low i can go as it just makes that process easier....but i think i have ~1/2" upfront....but just to be in the same page, i have stiffer springs than most people (from the GB list) and i have lost almost 325lbs of weight from the front half of the vehicle....so those things combined might make a difference....if you see John's ride height, he is wayyyy lower than me on the same coilovers....

^It's just strange to think that my springs will actually compress 2-3" more than yours (static). That's a pretty big difference.....and I can go lower if I wanted!!! I'm getting curious about your visible threads again....I'm pretty sure that all 3 gold collars will be sandwiched together (zero threads showing) if it is lowered all the way.

my rears there is a ton of unused visible threads left LOL....i can be tucking lugs if i lower it all the way , i wish the lower shock body of the fronts were a little "longer" so we could screw more threads in...
pick one...
