^ since speaking on gas mileage I just completed a 4hours to and from Boston to Jersey and went roughly 450 miles before filling up and this was with getting stuck in traffic for about 3 total hours round trip....so not too shabby from the UA7 3.5L....avg was 32mpg! I could just imagine how much better my mpg's would be if I did some dieting!!

That is not bad at all....and yeah if i werent driving thro little towns and hitting lights and little bit of traffic, I would have gotten 35....

but as Tim said, you will see weight loss affects the most at lower speeds....i have seen my city MPG bump up by 3MPG's and my highway has gone up by ~2MPG....

but that is still amazing for a Type S running the JnR ECU which does make you run rich....i was constantly at 14.5+ AFR.....

You can tune the ecu do whatever you want. I'm surprised I haven't seen people rocking multiple tunes...

Yes you can....wish there was an easier way to load em (RACE button )

but i think you need to connect it to your laptop (tunerstudio) and load the new map....so yeah if you know you hitting the roads for a road trip, you can load a leaner tune....

but it will honestly fun to see if you can load multiple tunes using a button/screen....

SWOOOOOOSH...... You mentioned in one of your threads that you were looking to get Illinois plates so you won't need a front one. How are you going about this? I just moved to Missouri from Arizona and I hate the front plate.

yeah MO cops are nasty....they will not only ticket you, but also "mark" your car and keep hitting u with the same tickets....even if you go to court as a "fix it" they waive the ticket but you still pay court fees which are close to 65 bucks....

about IL plate, my wife's cousin lives in IL....so gonna put their address in 1 of the bank accounts (back up account) and let it send some statements there....not go to IL DMV (east STL) and ask them to give me a new plate as if i just moved there....

finally am not doing it for the license plate....i live in KS and there is no front plate here either....am doing it for property taxes....am done paying 400 EVERY year for property taxes for roads when the roads are shitty as fawk....

^ Same BS as VA. We pay property taxes on top of the initial sales tax, which I fucking hate. Sure, registering a car is only ~$80 for 2 years, but my brother is paying nearly $400 for his 4 year old Accord. My 9 year old CL is $100. The roads still fucking suck, and to add insult to injury, many people are constantly blowing out tires from potholes or getting rock chips on the bumper/hood/windshield from the roads that are falling apart.

Theyve been doing construction for over a year now, though very little progress has been made. They just like shutting down two lanes on I95 every night

dude tell me about it....i actually take an exit and come back on the highway to avoid this 1 big pothole (runs thro the width of the road).....or i get on the shoulder, slow down and then take it that way).....its ridiculous....

btw the lane closures might not be for construction....we had that in KS couple months back (they would close 2 lanes every night), it was more for traffic control and tickets and DUI's more than construction

anyway I changed my bank (backup account) address to my wife's cuz's plate in IL....will get my personalized plates from them....its ~100/yr for the custom plates....

in MO i used to $125/2 years for custom plates + $40/2 years for safety and emissions testing + $450-500/YEAR for property taxes....IL is a wayyyy better deal

Does anyone know the size of the opening on the 09 4g TL 3.5 manifold? I know the port on the 3.7 was measured at 75mm and was wondering if the 3.5 was the same? They are different part numbers so I assume there are some differences.

3.5 FWD Base model is a 70mm, thus why the 80mm inlet/69mm outlet SHAWD TB is unique and the mani has a different bolt pattern for the TB

Wait till u see what Kieth @ Moore's did for me Anil. I asked for a new product offering.....an adapter plate for 3rd Gen TB on a 4th Gen 3.7L manifold. He delivered, and its awesome. Quite the challenge to work blind without him ever seeing a SHAWD manifold before.

BTW, I know this is blowing your mind why I would want to do this. Stay tuned!

so my car is playing tricks on me....some serious tricks....

the ambient temp sensor suddenly started working....my engine is throwing 4 CEL's....2 for Bank 1 and 2 for Bank 2.....

System too lean
O2 circuit slow response

am getting this on both the banks....from my reading here on Azine seems like my O2 sensors are shot....all 4 of them

these codes comes and go as and when they desire....i have been logging the parameters and I do not see any changes in the AFR....its always in the 14.xx range....whether the codes are there or not....also for some reason Torque pro is not able to clear those codes....

wanted to see if anyone on here is experiencing those issues before i end up buying some bosch sensors and connect em up myself....

okie i just checked the logs and looks like the logs get cut off when i hit WOT

but in general i saw when am moving an NOT on the GAS the AFR is 29.4....but when on the gas am mostly in the 14.xx and very very few times in the 13.8 range....i never saw AFR less than 13.5....now this is for 100% city driving....

i will hit the highway today and get some values cruising at 70-80mph (i saw AFR of 12.xx at those speeds in my previous logs) and will do some wot runs and keeping into higher rev range to check the AFR out....

No offense intended, but if it was me, I would remove the scanner from the OBDII connector and reset the ecu. Drive it for up to 2 weeks with the scanner removed to see if the problems return.

P.S. - I have a very hard time believing that all O2 sensors failed at the same time.

Tim....none taken brother....am here to learn....and hence i dont get offended even if someone (more knowledgeable than me) calls me a noob....

yes i was feeling the same way that its crazy that 4 sensors failed on me at the same time....

i dont plug the scanner in all the time....just once in a while to make sure everything is still in line but the code stays....

I did some pulls last night with the scanner on while monitoring my AFR (i know its risky but it was a straight line and there was no one around)....and the AFR dipped to 11.9 - 12.xx at WOT....just then i saw the throttle position and i was at 65-75% and i realized that I hadnt opened the throttle in a while

i am usually between 2000-3000rpm (city driving ) and easy into the throttle rather than stomp on it....but either way something is not right....

now let me tell you a little secret why and when i saw the codes for the first time....i was testing my sound setup out and didnt wanna torture the little braille battery and hence had the car on and it was idling for 15-20 minutes and boom the code came on....and it cycled between on and off when i drive and when i idle....but either way the code should not be on....

anyway i have attached the log in here for your guys to peruse thro....

if only my mind can function today....here is the log file....

i have hidden couple parameters (GPS related) and have only couple in front of you.....its a long ass file 6000+ records....

you can use the sorter function to see when the AFR is at peak and when its loww....

i do see my car is running a little lean....Andy was telling me the 2012 TB has some issues but he told me that is with the ECU....lets see what happens....

the log is zipped....just unzip it and open with excel

Well, i was agreeing with the fact that all 4 O2's can't be dead...I'm guessing Tim was thinking it might be backfeeding bad data and tripping up the oem CEL?

Either way...I'm sure it's something simple...
You make me glad I don't delve too deeply into what my motor is doing! :X

^^^ LOL

yeah its crazy coz i wudnt know what AFR am running if I had it plugged out....i feel the same way that it might be feeding something crazy to the ECU....i might be getting my JnR ECU soon, so will monitor parameters on that as well just to confirm....
