The Carbon Fiber hood Swoosh got was beautiful. I hope he can find a fix for it. It looks gorgeous on his NBP TL.

I had to drop the front latch on mine all of the way down to the bottom in order to get it to sit right and line up with the fenders.
By all of the way down I literally mean all of the way down to where it wouldn't go down any further. I went past the bottom mark on the hood latch for the factory adjustment.
The gaps between the hood and fender are a little bigger than OEM on mine and one side has a slightly bigger gap than the other side on mine but would be more trouble than it's worth to try to get that extra 1/16th to 1/8 of an inch difference between the sides to be perfect.
I was afraid if I start messing with the way it lines up with the fenders either the latch won't latch in right anymore or it'll get all out of wack so I left the side-side adjustment alone since it fit just fine when I put it on.
There's also an adjustment on the rubber bump stops at the front of the hood by the radiator support and you may have to take the front plastic engine bay trim by the radiator off in order for the hood to close, mine no longer fits if I put it in I can't close the hood.

and what plastic piece I took all the plastic pieces from the engine bay out...I will try installing the hood again and move the latch down....I dont think it was rubbing anything, but I will check again....
but when we took the hood off the bolts and just laid it on the engine bay, it seemed like it was very flush with both the fenders (almost OEM-ish)

been a while since I posted here...
3 updates....1 which adds weight and 2 which remove...
since Sid, we were taking out the wifey's car everywhere...we barely put miles on my car so I went ahead and put the rear seats back in the car...all the trim pieces and rear seats along with rear door panels and rear dash are in....
and lets see if you can spot the other 2 mods...am uploading other pix and will post them tomorrow...

yeah the CF hood is on....
I have to say a great word about the seller...first off, he gave me a GREAT DEAL on the hood...and had his Dad deliver the hood to me...I paid him (his Dad) in cash....
when the hood didnt fit, he could have been like "screw you" since the transaction was in cash....but he went back and forth with the vendor and followed up everyday and kept me in the loop....finally he got them to ship out a brand new hood to me which I installed and it fit perfectly....
I doubt I have ever experienced customer service that good....his s/n is skyier4lyfe (something like that) and I would def recommend him....

Thanks Chris...when you come on buy, we might hit yours with a buffer and see what we can do
I have been eyeing some lightweight wheels for a while and jumped on this deal....Volk Ce28n wrapped in Yokohama S Drive....the wheels are 18x9 +35 and the tires are beefy 255/35/18....so far I love them. Flat black was not my first choice of color but the width and offset and tire size was almost exactly what I was looking for....the tires have about 50% life left and they grip very very well but are noisy (PS: my cabin is noisier from being semi gutted)....the best part is the weight....the setup was about 39.5-40.5lbs per corner....my stock setup was about 50lbs/corner....
so thats about 40lbs off the car....
another mod (not pictured well or at all) is the CF hood....I cant talk enough good about the Azine member, skyier4lyfe
Anyway, onto the pix:

works and volk racing and rays, if I assume right, they come down the same production line
no sir, no spacers...I was running 25mm with stockies on 225 tire...these are +35 offset with 255 tire and hence they sit just as I was running with stockies...
I will be lowering the car a tad bit more and rolling my fenders, if space allows might run a 5mm spacer in the back

I love love love the wheels, man...honestly, they're what people confuse the Advan with, so no wonder I love them. The design is fantastic and they match the car well. Also, so light! Wow...in all seriousness, you are a pound lighter at 40.5.

I love the Advans, I think the GTR face looks SICK....I think they have their own identity...
yeah these wheels are very light, at around 15.6-16lbs/wheel (different websites have it stated differently)...the tire was mentioned on tirerack at 25lbs but am guessing being 50% used, they will be at about 23-24lbs and hence the weight is fluctuating between rims between 39-40lbs
I think once I get the balanced, some weight will be added but hopefully I will still be under 40lbs/corner...
but thank you dude...lightweight wheels have been a long time coming but wasnt able to get a good deal until now....
doing a lot of research on tire weight is what pushed me to get 18's...along with Johns comments and a little push from our resident Rockstar and Penguin....
you havent "pushed" me yet...meet me for coffee

Haha I'm not going to convince you to get 19's. That would be stupid for what you want.
But my wheels are still lighter than the tires.
