So, i am new to acura forums, and never thought i would be on one....... But i am here......

I just want to clear some things up

the ecu was never reflashed. The hardest part about this install was getting any info on the ecu.

S_heng_62 car works with the ct engineeering acm.

I will put any ones kit in.

When i first put a turbo on my mazda, i had to do a lot of fabing. I dont think the type s is capable of getting a turbo, the manifold position, and motor spacing would make connecting the 2 turbos impossible. I dont think that motor could really handle high boost either. Whats the compression 11:1 you would need to also add extra injectors, or completely overhaul the fuel system to crank up the pressure. It would be fun to try if money was no object.

So I'm assuming you have ran it on a dyno? Only reason I say that is because you seem to be willing to drive it so I'm guessing the AFR is looking good? Or you have a wideband?

you mean 5k SO FAR lol. i'd say a good 6k-6.5k after its said and done.

first off, congrats on being a pioneer and getting this done. i had no doubt in my mind that this was a direct bolt on.

let me give you some good advice though. you've gone this far with the project, dont be stupid and post some drive by WOT videos until you either install a wideband (which should have been the first thing on your budget list) or get it on a dyno to see where you a/f stands. no way, no how, is that ACM POS compech provides is going to give you the right tuning for the 3.5. i think it was a big waste of your time to even wire the damn thing up IMO. be smart and have boomslang make you a custom harness, install a AEM fi/c and get a proper tune before you blow that thing up.

I tried every were, that is the big mystery on this car. only way I got the pin out was wire by wire. I am sure S_heng would get a standalone. PLEASE HELP ME MEET BOOMSLANG

boomslang might actually provide you with the pinouts if you purchased a harness from them

$120 for Electrical Service Manual

Part #: 61SEP04EL

The ECU pin out is no secret. I recommend getting the service manual too... but then I thought both of these items would be pretty standard for someone doing this kind of work.

how???... go on there website, dial the contact number and viola!

ask for rustin. he will be glad to help you out

the fi/c will work dont worry about the wiring diagram either. boomslang has it... thats their business. just tell them the year make and model of your tl and they will make a custom harness for you in a couple of days. thats how long it took to receive mine.

really??? thats the first i heard of this. ive bought 3 harnesses from them and never heard of such a thing. they dont list an AEM fi/c PnP harness for my year accord and they were happy to make a custom one for me without demanding a quantity that needed to be ordered. weird

would it not be way more cost effective to run an extra injector set up? I mean lets face it, its only 6-7 pounds of boost after pulley upgrades. the 3.5 is more then capable of adjusting timing to limit knocking, so the only real issue would be fuel? fuel system options are very limited for the type s. it is different then the non type s, I am assuming for the larger displacement..... so, if I am only worried about running lean, doesnt this seam like the cheapest fix. the AEM, is still going to need to use the same stock FPR so, I still have the same problem. crushing the FPR gives you an extra 10 pounds of flow, or does it?

definitely ask boomslang about the pinouts... they have them because of a member here who was able to sweet talk the dealer ;0)

You need the factory (Acura) electrical & service manuals, the type-s and base should be in the same manual, with the type-s differences being distinguished. Like "Clean" said it should be no mystery to find the pinouts for the ecu...

we used the crush tool, but it crushed it too far. So we did some screwin around with it and eventually found the right cruch point. It's only slightly modified

the type s reg, and the non type s reg are different. if you use the CT engineering crush tool you ruin the pressure regulator on the type s. so we had to make our own crush tool.

Right... usually Helm/Acura put the base/type s/auto/manual all into one book.
