That was my thoughts after seeing the flyby videos the car is ridiculous. All these people giving him a hard time are just haters. Maybe it does need tuning but dont give the guy a hard time for christ sake he is the first to supercharge a TL-S obviously it will take tunning and time to key it in.

I don't believe anyone doubted it, there were some questions about his dynograph (i.e.TQ curve and in my case the smoothness of the graph).
In my opinion, these are fair questions to ask. I'll say it again like I did in one of my other posts, good job guys on getting the Type S S/C.

Concur exactly. I hope you guys keep at the tuning to try an eek a little more out of the SC as well.

Not to be the wet blanket, but you have successfully supercharged a 3.5L TL-S and brought it to the same power levels of a typical supercharged 3.2L.

Again, I recognize you're retrofitting something not designed to work in this application, and for that you deserve commendation, but I for one look forward to the longevity impacts, as well as any further power you can eek out of this thing.

Keep at it, or I'll put that evil on you.

i think they need to run the HBP... with the loss they are experiencing in boost using the regular pulley (i think they said they are getting 2-3lbs)...the HBP will probably deliver 6lbs or so

but the air will be super hot with the HBP, thus power output will probably be slightly higher than before, but with more danger involved due to the extra boost. Their best bet would be to upgrade the cooling system and add methanol injection to help reduce intake temperatures with the HBP. Also the methanol will add a little more octane to help prevent pinging.

+1 meth injection is a good idea, along with injector size, fuel system upgrade, etc,,..... but when its all said and done, i think it all boils down to the blower being to small even for the 3.2, let alone the 3.5.. just for reference, the SS cobalt comes with a m62 and thats on a 2.0

BTW, did they ever mention how they "tweaked" the ACM for the bigger dissplacement?? or did i miss it somewhere?

Well, we made it to the NY meet safe and sound, but on the way back, I was passin a van goin over a bridge, and as soon as I crested the bridge, there was a tree limb right in front of me. Carrielynn behind me, van on my right, and water on the left..... Couldn't go anywhere. Ended up takin the limb right in the front bumper. Pulled about a foot and a half out of the drivers side fog light. Was pretty angry about that. Oh, well, gotta call the ins company and file a claim, and hopefully have it fixed by the CT meet.

^ yea, that sucks!
That thing was a freakin TREE! It was huge, I hit it too after you did but most of it was stuck in your car... I think we were both going too fast to swerve even if we could have...
I still feel bad about it but your car isn't too bad, it could have been alot worse!
If you need some acura parts let me know and I'll get you a price on the fog or whatever you are gonna replace. I know 2 people that work in acura parts dept

when i ordered mine... i got it in about 4 business days via freight trunk

you might need to make a few slight modifications to make it fit... (lower the latch, dremmel a large opening in the hood to accomodate the latch)

They're not finished, and we're not even sure if this will hold out in the long run.

At this point, I would suggest going for other mods than this at the moment.
