I'm expecting a replacement as well. He made some updates since I got mine so he wants to make sure I get the latest stuff.
Even if he doesn't provide the msq file, you can still connect to the ECU and save it. It's made easier if you have the same base code installed but even if you don't, it is possible. It is quite amazing what the developers of this ECU have done.
Scared the shit out of me the first time I worked on it thinking I could wipe out the installed maps but now that I've been through it a couple times, it is very easy.
Second to none with regard to customer service.

well spoke to Rodney today and he was working on few more ECU's to be sent out by friday I believe...Also he finally has my ECU ready and updated so I can return his personal one back.....
And am also suppose to be getting the file needed to run the Tunerstudio software so I can start messing around with my laptop and get some datalogging info and things of that nature!! Hopefully by spring time and as weather gets better we can have several different updates and comments on how everyone is loving their new tune and ECU
So in short as a wise man said to me
'""'Be patient my young grassHOPPERR!!!""

^Yea, I just wish the oem sensors were wideband. If so I would have got it by now.....I will eventually try and get it by not anytime soon, too lazy in my busy schedule to deal with trying to find a ideal spot to place the sensor and having to remove the exhaust pipe and have a shop drill for the wideband sensor....(not to mention I hate wiring things up...
If only a company came out with an OEM replacement where we could swap out the oem O2 and use same bung hole....(Or have the JnR ECU overide the oem ecu into not giving faults for not having the oem O2 in the bunghole)

People who are NOT getting dyno tuned should get a wideband. It's not needed, but you will feel much better, trust me.

^^^ I know Rodney if that counts
Rodney was explaining it to me the other day how it works....lets me try to explain it here:
your driving like an old grandma....the livetune sets the AFR to around the 14-ish mark...this way you get better fuel efficiency, enough power to drive how your driving....
the minute you step it down and hit vtec, livetune put the AFR back in the higher 12's and that way your getting more power out of the engine....
so its like our ECU pulling timing when it see's too much heat/knock etc....and when your driving in 60deg weather, boom boom you feel your car has a lot more power....
hope i made sense here...

I have... its good if used for the fine AFR tuning on the street, but not for horsepower (timing). It alone is not going to tune the motor, but can reach user specified mapped/targeted AFR's with pretty good success. Another thing it cant do is tune for all ambient temps without having several maps and switching between them. This is where the human brain comes in

I actually more worried about AFR being right than HP.. well in the beginning… HP tweaking I can work to.. AFR f- ups then I really will go “boom boom”

a low 12's afr isn't generally considered unsafe at all on NA, some tuner's push it all the way into the high 12's...that i would feel uncomfortable about.

yep. we used it to dial in the part throttle tuning, but we 'junked it' when it came to WOT and just adjusted the trim blocks manually and checked logs.

If anyone is interested, EFI Analytics is running a special on their class 1 bluetooth adapter preconfigured for the MS2 or MS3. I ordered one over the weekend so we'll see how long it takes to arrive and how it performs.
They also released the Android version of their software (Shadow Logger).
I am not sure what I can or can't post publicly so you can PM me for the info.
