1) You're worried about weight while a driving a 4 door luxury sports sedan...? The TL-S is a heavy bitch, Ditch a Nav sustem, an all those luxury items like in the "putting the TL on a diet" thread

2) I wouldn't put em on. Heeltoe has demonstrated you don't need them. I've been dumped 1.5-1.7 inches for over a year, 25K miles over 2 sets of tires, and the wear is even across both. Other than showing a little camber, it's fine as long as you get a good toe alignment.

not to get too off topic, but last time i had the tein basics, they TORE my tires up... 10-12k, and the whole insides were bald.... ill see how close we can get the toe/alignment.. then maybe ill throw them on

when are you getting your J-pipe? im sitting here watching the window, WAITING for the FedEX guy

sorry mike. i couldnt help myself. pipe really and truely is awesome. even my mechanic looked at it and said the welds were incredible. i just took it for a 50 mile cruise..broke in those gaskets....

i am actually starting to notice a slightly deeper tone to it, NO rasp.. and best of all, i think it decreased the cabin drone a tiny bit. so overall.......

...... to Mike & the whole ATLP line up

It actually sounds pretty sweet on a stock TL. Has this mellow sound increase as well as a noticeable power curve increase.

ok good, i'll definitely consider this. i'm not out to mod this car really at all power wise, since its my daily. i've had a toy mustang forever, and i have all the power and drone i can stand from that car

hopefully we'll see a before and after dyno off of a 5AT non -S car soon.

the unit looks great!

Looking forward to real-world TL results. Some of us are interested in a J-Pipe for the 2G RL. This thread is linked over in RL to try to drum up interest.

I figure if it can be installed on a TL-S (same engine as RL), it can be installed on an RL.

yea definitely did!!

i am still going to dyno it on monday, on the same machine as my last few dyno's... only the weather will play a factor in it..

honestly, its $75 for three pulls, and they would charge me $150 for 6 runs.. and not because its twice as many runs, but because they have to strap the car in twice.... unfortunately, its the ONLY dyno place that i know about in Nassau County

Can anyone here with just a stage 3 exhaust comment on how it sounds on the TL-S? Is the exhaust louder? more drone? etc.

The RL needs some attention, too!

Here is the thread incase anyone wants to keep an eye out on the progress.

We're aiming for end of next week. The flex pipes are the only thing we are waiting for and they are sending them batch by batch. As soon as they come in, all they need to do it weld them on and box them up.

Am I the first boosted guy to install this?

This clearance is with a ONE inch drop with COMPTECH springs.
Clearance looks pretty damn good. This pipe is a work of art! Gains are definetly there. Sound is a bit more throaty, but no rasp. This is all with the blower, procats and greddy evoII. ALL STOCK EXHAUST PARTS ARE NOW GONE!!! HAHAHA. Thanks Mike!!!

I just installed mine, and I can definitely feel the power increase. I have the AEM intake, so I can't tell if there's any difference in noise at full throttle. During normal driving I don't hear any difference.

Only problem I have is the pipe is touching the oil pan. Looks like if the pipe wasn't crush-bent top to bottom there would've been clearance.

I will take a picture of the pipe later.

Anyone else have this problem?

YUP! Will dyno soon! yeah, I'm hondatafied. I'm gonna hit up church's with the dynapack, since that was my last dyno. Plus, I will ask if there is an update available for the reflash. I hope there is, cuz I'm addicted to ponies and I can't get enough!!! I'll keep everyone posted. I might try to record an in-cab sound clip sometime. Everything together sounds really f@ckin mean!

Liquid Wrench works in a matter of mintues, but due to the tight nature of where the two nuts are, I can't get a sufficient quantity up there. I tried WD-40 since it's able to be sprayed, but it didn't do squat. If my other attempts later this week fail, I'll try the overnight WD-40 treatment Friday night.

Great numbers!!

I'm not surprised that the TL-S' is getting solid gains!

Now, the race to 300WHP NA begins...lol
