You guys have to consider when all is said and done Mike is in it to make money also. There are many fewer ron jon tl's than regular so he's just using regular market practices of supply and demand. His market for regular tl's is much larger than for the ron jon tl's. What would you do in his spot?

He is normally online alot but he's not a robot so give him some time to do his things also. He'll respond to you he was always good about that.

It looks like Dragonlord's concerns have been discussed/cleared up enough? Probably should get this thread back on the progress of the Base ATLP exhaust. That way, hopefully Mike can get things wrapped up and move on to other things.......like the 3G specific roof spoiler

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain much detail in the earlier posts.

I only have one set of the new tips in my hands right now. Which are being used for the prototype to see what and how the tips will fit. Once that works out without a problem, we then produce the whole batch of tips overseas (1 month). It would be silly to tell them to start producing the 100 or so tips just to find out they sound weird, or don't line up correctly.

It's not that I don't want to send you a tip, I just don't have any extra at the moment.

Dragonlord, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I just need a few more days to find out if this tip works or not. I didn't want to say one thing, and then come back to clutter up the thread and say that the tip doesn't work, confusing more people. Early next week I will find out the final details, then I can give you the final dimensions, and perhaps send elegant or you a tip to fit.

Worse comes to worse, if and only IF there is enough RJ interest, we can work a one batch run for those guys out.

Let me know how that sounds.

I LOVE YOU! I don't know if there is enough interest in the RJ market for it to be worth while for you to run a seperate batch. I am into sales as well.. so I understand the dillemma and cost associated with just getting 3 units out for 3 people. Dont worry.. just keep us in mind.. that's all we're asking for.

I'd ask once and I'll ask one last time. Would it be possible to make the tips resonated like the quads? It's only fair I get an answer.

Sounds like the RonJon folks need to get the sand out of their vag!

Fact is....suprised RonJon hasnt already taken care of you and developed something on his own? Why not focus on what the company that developed the BODY KIT has limited you on rather than focusing on the poor fella who is out developing new products for the masses? Cause the masses is where the profits are fellas...surely you all know this! Not knocking RonJon either....good company and a good guy! Just saying...you cant be everything to everybody....and there is just more volume on A-Spec than RonJon. If I were him...I would not even be worrying about RonJon fitment as the market is too small.

Nice looking exhaust again, Mike....good job!!

I second that! And please Mike forgive me for my ranting and raving. I had 3 seperate mods lined up until I got laid off, and now I'm just trying to figure which 1 will get done (brakes, exhaust, or wheels).

I APOLOGIZE FOR BEING RUDE MIKE!

Could there also be an option without the tip?

Anything can be done, it's just you have to understand it costs us a lot more to do just one-of. If you can get 10 people committed for an exhaust without a tip, than we can get something going.

Mike, the tips look great ... nice work.

Having the quads visible from inside the tip does look a little strange, but maybe, like you say, this goes away after they darken - or get blacked out. Can you black them out for the prototype and pics so we can see how visible the quads are through the tips? The first thing that came to mind when I saw the photos was, "why are those quad pipes being crammed into that awesome tip?". Maybe a single, larger, pipe from muffler to tip would be cleaner and more true to form. The quads do look pretty cool from underneath, but unless the blackout does a really good job, I'd vote for a single big pipe from muffler to tip.

My

Appreciate all the work you've put into making this happen.

Mike, need your help here. I read through this thread twice and I can't find anything on the dimensions of the tip.

I'm looking to see how much (if at all) of my RJ bumper I would have to cut to get this tip to fit.

While looking at the tip from the back, can you please measure top to bottom, and left to right from the widest point and let us know the dimensions?

Thanks ever so much!

Can someone tell me more about the add on resonator to this exhaust? Does it quiet the entire exhaust down or just that low RPM drone. I don't mind the sound of the exhaust but I would like to eliminate as much as possible the drone you get at cruising (NON AGRESSIVE) speeds on the highway as I do a lot of long drives.

Black coated mufflers with polished quad piping and tips coming out of the muffler would give a clean look and accentuate the unique quad piping (which is growing on me).

Stromung looks like they already do black coated stainless mufflers:
http://www.stromung.com/subaru/subaru2.htm

Or full blackout except the tips

Quick Reply: ATLP Base Exhaust final prototype is in.
