I would ceramic coat the precats/jpipe and race pipe inside out....yes Inside out for better flow....
then I would spray the mufflers flat black....and the tips black chrome....for the murdered out look....
else I would leave it as it is

This thread is about 4 years old, but good job for searching. A lot of people have moved on to the RV6 true dual exhaust set up. I'll be making a video of mine this weekend with my new HFPC, exhaust is holding up well especially for being in northern MN winters.
Lol damn you're right I am a whore. I'm lettin' everyone see my holes from behind. I didn't think about how jerk of a move that was. Mods, if you feel that I'm puttin' things where they don't belong, please delete them and send me a warning.
The only thing that sounds "ricer" is rasp. You get rasp if you install PCDs and no resonator. Most of the exhaust setups for the TL make it sound really good in my opinion, exotic. Basically listen to some youtube videos of the different setups and see what you like.
I agree with what Vlad said.
If you're installing just a catback or j-pipe and catback, you won't have any rasp. (So long as you pair the ATLP j-pipe with the catback and so on.) For example, putting the RV6 j-pipe on the ATLP catback will make rasp.
When I met CLtotheTL32, I got to hear his ATLP setup
it was amazing, very deep and authoritative tone but still quiet enough to enjoy the ride. I never got to hear him stomp on it, but there are plenty of videos on YouTube for that, in fact CLtotheTL32 is on YT and has taken more than a few videos of his exhaust.

main creator of RASP is the precat deletes. If you are keeping stock precats add a jpipe and resonated exhaust, there wont be any rasp but you might get some drone...
also, sound is very subjective. I like my exhaust being LOUD without rasp and drone. I am running PCD's and I rasp between 4200-4600rpm....its an easy fix if I install a resonator but then it wont be loud....you might not like that, you might like something mellow....
hence, do your research, go to youtube and look up as many combinations as you can and make your decision...
