Help Please
I have the 3.A0 navigation disk. I have done A TON of reading about how the hack for 3.8 & newer also works for 3.A0 too. I have tried everything that I can think of, going through over 5 disks trying to get the Navi-Hack to work........still unsuccessful. Can someone please assist me?

3.A0 Navigation Hack
I tried to look at that too. How do I do that? I have been to my "properties" of my CD Burner & can't find where I change that. I'll admit, I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world, but I can usually figure most things out.
Thanks for the tip. I'll look at it again.

Scratch the post above. SORRY.
I've gotten to step four, and that's where it stops. The HMIManager patch doesn't work when I double click on it. It says,
"The version file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. check your computer's system information to see weather you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
Im running windows 7, how is everyone else doing it?
ANY Help would be appreciated!!

Any progress at all getting the REMOVE-OK button with the White Discs on 07-08 TL/TLS??
Is the source code available that was used for the 04-06 models ? I figure some of us here should be able to figure this out and maybe a few cool other tricks!
Thoughts ?

Still not working..
Try extracting all files from your newly modified 07Touch2.bin file and see if Nav-Title and Acura-emblem are still in the bin file. Make sure you have a good copy of your modified 07Touch2.bin file in a safe place - you don't want to modify it again.
If both files are still there, then modify them - use whatever you have handy - Photo Shop or?? Just make them slightly larger than their original size. Do this for both files. Then add them both back into 07Touch2.bin using the update command. When you are done, reload your new 07Touch2.bin file.
Here is what will happen (should happen) because the files are now too big to fit into the space allocated for them, the system will not load them. Since doing it the other way didn't work for you try this way. It is the same principal as making your splash screen file too large, it won't load but your Navi system will still work.

The target file that needs modifying to eliminate the "phantom Acura" logo, as you call it, is a file called "Acura_emblem.bmp" and is found inside 09Touch2.bin
I found this out by extracting the contents of the bin file to a folder, then I reviewed all of the .bmp files until I found the one that looked similar to the over imposed logo.
So how did I fix the problem, you may ask.
Well, during the bin extraction I also found a file called "Honda_emblem.bmp", this file was only 1KB in size and it looked like a small black dot. I decided to copy this file and rename it "Acura_emblem.bmp". Then I repeated the original process used to update the splash screen picture file but this time instead of updating OpeningBase.bmp I updated the file "Acura_emblem.bmp". (As shown below). The file is still there but is so small that it blends in with the splash screen picture.
bysin 09Touch2.bin update OpeningBase.bmp OpeningBase.bmp
bysin 09Jog2.bin update OpeningBase.bmp OpeningBase.bmp
I hope I was clear enough and let me know if you are successful.

Thanks finally got it working.
After 4 long days.. 7 CD's 2 dual layer dvds I was able to successfully get the Splash Screen working THANKS!! I was a able to follow the instructions above but saw that both Acura_Emblem.bmp and Honda_Emblem.bmp were the same size image and file size wise. I copied Acura_Emblem and resized it to 1 x 1 pixels and then followed the instructions above to update Acura_Emblem from 09Jog2.bin & 09Touch2.bin I then renamed the file to Honda_Emblem.bmp and updated that file in the same 2 folders: 09Jog2.bin & 09Touch2.bin just to play it safe. So at the end you will be left with Acura_Emblem.bmp and Honda_Emblem.bmp being 1 x 1 pixel bmp files. Hopefully it works out for anyone else. I love this forum and Thanks again. Below is the initial emblem files from 09Jog2.bin after extract.

Just got 'splash screen / ok-bypass / a/c&diagnostic in info menu' to work on a Canadian 05 TSX with the new 2011 3.A0 orange navigation DVD. Already modified file (except splash screen) can be found here
http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showp...96&postcount=8
However the loading file on my car was "BNHN404A.BIN", so you can just rename the file in the link above and it'll work fine.

i dont understand how there are no hacks for 4.92 discs...
you can "back them up" or find a 4.92 rip online
mod the bin file that does the DVD-R check which is also available online
then burn it to a dual layer DVD-R. done.
i dont get why its that difficult to remove the "okay" nag from the new discs.

Anyone still have the files needed to hack the 3.8 Navi? I had it hacked before, but when the car went into the shop they pulled the battery and it reset to factory. Any help would be appreciated as I can't seem to find an active link for the hack files.

does the 3.50 disc version work for 3.80?

I am assuming that alot of people have the honda oddessy version of the new navi dvd.... i have been trying to do this but for some reason i cant get it to work, and now I no longer have access to a PC, as I own a mac and i went back home. are there any instructions for a mac?
if not, are there any other solutions for PC? if they are simple enough, i might be able to have my little sister do it for me on her laptop and give me the .iso via dropbox
sorry to be annoying, but i drive a TL-S...... i have to somehow hide my screen from people the first few seconds lol

yes, it would be. If anyone would be willing to send me the modified files, I will create an .iso for everyone, so that all they would have to do is download the .iso and burn it on a blank CD.

Alright guys, I got a hold of the modified files. You can download those files here: http://db.tt/pS0O8nc
THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE NAVIGATION DISK, JUST THE MODIFIED SPLASH SCREEN FILES
When you download the .zip, unzip the files and burn them on a blank CD. dont do anything to these files
follow these steps:
1. Turn the ignition to Acc 1. Open the DVD reader's front panel and wait until you get an error message on the Navi screen.
2. Remove the DVD if necessary, insert your CD and close the flap
3. Press and hold Menu, Map/Guide and Cancel simultaneously for about 5 seconds until the Diagnostic menu appears.
4. Select Version
5. Select DownLoad and press the button
If all is ok with your CD the transfer should start. After about 20 seconds you should get a message telling you not to turn off the engine. This is followed by a progress bar.
The transfer takes about 3 minutes after which the Navi will reboot. If all has gone well you should see your new image followed by an error saying the wrong disk is inserted. Put the DVD back in and turn the ignition off and back on again.
and that is it. It should work.
Thank you to TL-S NCO who supplied the files and instructions. I did not do anything besides put them here for you

Shmookles, no, this does not eliminate the need to press the "OK" button, it just changes the image. And yes, it is reversable all you have to do is load the original DVD in the car and follow the same instructions that were included with my post (except you would use the original DVD instead of the one you downloaded)

Anyone have these files that they'd be willing to share?
I'd be fine doing the mods to the files and uploading an ISO for all to use who are still on the 3.8... but I got nothing.. and I can't find the original files I had...

new member here and just picked up a TL-S and figure out the 133 bytes error msg in dos.
i update my navi to 4.92 and change the wallpaper so its the same steps with the white disc.
since i notice so of the member been having problems with 8to16 when they try to convert there image. here what i figure out you would have to use paint shop pro . you can get it torrents or go to there website and download the free 30 day trail.
1. when you make a picture and when you down size it to 480x234 its going to be 220,000 bytes but you need to get it to 111,00 bytes .
2. so you go to Paint shop pro and click on IMAGE and decrease color depth to 256 color
3. save it as bmp and your 220byte image should be at 111bytes or110bytes now
4. you can use 8to16 and it should work.
for the 4.92 disc its also here if anyone was wondering
