The target file that needs modifying to eliminate the "phantom Acura" logo, as you call it, is a file called "Acura_emblem.bmp" and is found inside 09Touch2.bin
I found this out by extracting the contents of the bin file to a folder, then I reviewed all of the .bmp files until I found the one that looked similar to the over imposed logo.
So how did I fix the problem, you may ask.
Well, during the bin extraction I also found a file called "Honda_emblem.bmp", this file was only 1KB in size and it looked like a small black dot. I decided to copy this file and rename it "Acura_emblem.bmp". Then I repeated the original process used to update the splash screen picture file but this time instead of updating OpeningBase.bmp I updated the file "Acura_emblem.bmp". (As shown below). The file is still there but is so small that it blends in with the splash screen picture.
bysin 09Touch2.bin update OpeningBase.bmp OpeningBase.bmp
bysin 09Jog2.bin update OpeningBase.bmp OpeningBase.bmp
I hope I was clear enough and let me know if you are successful.

Thanks to the help the post above, I too was successful at changing the start up screen for version 4.92. *Has anyone attempted to get a working hack to remove the nag screen in version 4.92?*

i tried doing this for my 04 TL and 3.7 disc but after i tried clicking on HMIManager-401A-370, a window popped up saying that "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program"
Can anyone help me? (my laptop runs on vista)

I've been doing a ton of research on how to do this and think I understand it, but I have the 3.30G version. Does anyone have a pre-made bin that would include no-nag and the computer mod? Some of the links to the files I need are dead and all of the threads I have looked at ended up dying before anyone gave a tutorial or the correct files for 3.30G

Great! Not sure when you downloaded it, but soon after I put the first one up I replaced it with one that has a better splash screen. You'll know if I you have it because I centered the 'TL' (and cleaned up the misaligned background).

Can anyone help me please? Im trying to get the stock image back on my screen. Im using the 4.92 disc and i have tried updating the bins and everything and all I get is a blank screen when the car turns on and then it goes to the ok button. GPS works fine its just that I can't get the image to work. I'm thinking it might be the size but as far as I can tell the image is 480 x 234 @ 219kb.

All info was taken from thread post that madstickk created.
To summarize, use this thread to download your Welcome Screen Mode, Trip Computer and OK button Nag removal.

Use BNHH401A.BIN version if you have 3.8 and above
Use BN2HH12C.BIN version if you have 3.7 or below (this works on even my 3.3 firmware)
^^ you only need one of those files. depends which one your car uses. some cars use the BNHH401A.BIN file and some use the BN2HH12C.BIN file. for example, mine uses the BNHH401A.BIN file so i took that file, modded the startup screen wallpaper to my own image, then burnged it to a cd with the loader file as well and then follow the instructions for the previous hacks.
------------------------------------
If you dont know your version file do the following:
1. Hold down MAP/GUIDE, MENU and CANCEL buttons for 5 seconds
2. Select Version
3. Hold down MENU for 5 seconds.
4. The loaded BIN file name should be listed under loaderfile i think. its going to be one of those two files i listed. If your navi says its the BNHH401A.BIN file then thats the one you use from the links in the previous post, if you navi says its the BN2HH12C.BIN file then you download that one.
How to load my custom bin back into the car?
1. Burn your custom bin (BNHH401a.BIN) and the loader (BN2HHMLD.BIN) onto a blank CD.
2. Go to your car.
3. Turn your car's ignition to ACC
4. Open the trunk and pop out the NAVI disk (if it's in there)
5. Insert your newly burned CD.
6. Go back to the driver seat, the display will show some dvd read error, now press and hold "GUIDE" "MENU" and "CANCEL" for approx 5 seconds to bring up the diagnostic menu.
7. Wait another 5 seconds to let it load up completely. Press "version" button on the screen
8. Press "LOAD DISC" to load your custom bin into the navigation.
9. Wait until it's completely done and it will then display another error message about can't read the navi dvd, now take out your bin CD and insert your Navigation disc and you are done!

In the link above click the link below BN2HH12C.BIN. The RAR file has two BIN files, burn these to a CD and follow the instructions here:

Hacking 3.A0 Orange CD
I believe i got my 3.A0 cd some time early Nov. '10 or so and i finally got tired of the OK button. took like an hour due to finding a right pic.
Heres what i did.
1. Download the 38_bnh40A.rar from Post #8 on thread
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ight=3.80+hack
2. Extracted .rar file
3. Made my background pic( followed directions from post #1 on this thread) file was still alittle too big so instead I used 480X233 pixels to get under the required 113,068b ) using photoshop. Make sure you name the file Back.bmp (capital B)
4. I already had dumpnavi (but you can get it from post #1)
5. Put the extracted files, my new Back.bmp, and dumpnavi into the same folder.( and remembered the name of the file)
6. Opened COMMAND PROMPT
7. Typed in - cmd
8. typed in - cd folder-name in make case I typed
- cd navi\acura navi 3.a hacked since it was inside another folder
9. typed in dumpnavi bnhh401a.bin update back.bmp . if it works, it should take a second and then come back and say " updating Back.bmp"
10. burned the 3 files that I originally extracted into a CD-r ( make sure to change the format to MASTER when burning using windows. i just dragged the files to the drive...)
11. Followed this.

use photoshop to save the image you will use as your screen. save as 16 bit. click on advanced modes then select "R5 G6 B5"save under 16 bit, and click ok. update the image it will work perfectly.
