I just finally figured out how to hack my 2011 4.92 navigation dvd with custom splash screen. I'm sure someone out there in the world has already done it but there haven't been any DIYs about the 2011 version. So I'm going to help other people do this mod. You just have to follow the directions on this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-90/changing-navigation-splash-screen-500411/

except the files will be this instead:

09Jog.bin
09Jog2.bin
09Jog128SZA.bin
09Jog128TA0.bin
09Touch.bin
09Touch2.bin
11Jog128Acu.bin
11Jog128M.bin
A0000_00.MNG
dca0.evt
DCA0.REG
eca0_mod.evt
EDATA_ENUS.bin
EDATA_FRCA.bin
PRG_INFO.MNG
UPDATE_APL.exe
UPDATE_APL_128M.exe

and also, when switching the images, use this command instead:

bysin 09Jog2.bin update Opening1.bmp Opening1.bmp

the rest of the steps will be the same. Enjoy!

3.A0 Orange disk

Hi, does anyone have the files for the orange 3.A0 disk? I can't seem to find it anywhere online to download. I really don't want to pay the $185 just for a disc. Bonus points if the files are hacked! Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated!

Welcome to the forums.

It is illegal to request or offer files for the navi disk, which you may not have known but are hereby advised. Please do not bring up this subject again.

edit: I just got mine to work. I took the 10 ver3.5 bin file that i dowloaded from the link in this thread. Replaced the three old ones with the three new ones created. Then burned it with just normal settings. For some reason the disk without the other files didn't want to work for me.

Thanks for all the helpful posts. This board is awesome.

Hey Paperboy.
Are you sure you got the correct file written down there? I went through 3 CD's without them working, then I had a realization..

When I did this for 4.55, I used the equivalent of 09Touch2.bin, not 09Jog2.bin

I tried replacing Opening1.bmp on 09Touch2.bin, and it worked perfectly the first try.
It makes sense, since our Navi's are Touchscreens, not simply controlled by a Jog button..

So for anyone having issues, use:

bysin 09Touch2.bin update Opening1.bmp Opening1.bmp

instead of

bysin 09Jog2.bin update Opening1.bmp Opening1.bmp

That is the only way I got it to work.

I tried replying to your PM but you don't have enough privileges for more than one message. that includes saved ones and the one you sent, so you need to delete that before you can get any more.

To answer your question: nothing has changed, the file I uploaded is the exact same one, so there's something else going wrong. What error messages are you getting?

I appreciate all your help.

I am loading it the same way i did last time. ive tried 3 times with 3 different cd's ive made. The navi will start up, flash the logo screen then goes black, then resets again and flashes the logo then goes black, and on and on. so i have to put the original cd back in and re load from it to get my navi to do anything.

Question I have here. I have 2006 TL with the origional 2006 navi disc. I did the hack so when I start the car I see 'AD' in the corner and it bypasses the legal screen and has the trip meter and etc. I am about to order the 2011 disc here soon. Once I use the new disc will it stay the same or will I need to do the hack again? Will my hack disc work for the new 2011 navi disc or need to make a new disc?

Thanks!

I'll try uploading a new .bin for you. You'll maybe like it even better because it has the paperboy image (minus the 'type S' part which I chopped away), no AD, and no text at all (just a black screen). Keep checking my web site over the weekend, when it's done I'll change the wording so you'll know it's the new one (remember to hit 'refresh' on the web page or you might keep seeing the old web page).

If that doesn't do it then you should maybe start looking at how you are creating the CD (I made a bunch of coasters also before I finally went to a new blank CD, and I also included all of the original .bin files on it along with the new .bin).

i modified both 09Touch2.bin and 09Jog2.bin (not sure this was necessary) I also noticed that there was Opening1.bmp and Opening.bmp in the bin file, so i replaced both of them with my splash... did you try that?

I did not, I will do that tonight hopefully. Problem is I have a Mac so it is hard to get to a PC sometimes. I am worried that that one file that I don't have could also be the cause.

bysin 09Touch2.bin update Opening1.bmp Opening1.bmp
bysin 09Jog2.bin update Opening1.bmp Opening1.bmp
bysin 09Touch2.bin update Opening.bmp Opening.bmp
bysin 09Jog2.bin update Opening.bmp Opening.bmp

I will have to try that today.

I downloaded 4.92 and it works great with the Odyssey splash right now (must have been a person with an Odyssey that hacked it).

there is no eca0_mod.evt... i think paperboy was just so excited to get it working he may have had a typo.... the list of files is actually:

09Jog.bin
09Jog2.bin
09Jog128SZA.bin
09Jog128TA0.bin
09Touch.bin
09Touch2.bin
11Jog128Acu.bin
11Jog128M.bin
A0000_00.MNG
dca0.evt
DCA0.REG
Dca0_mod.evt
EDATA_ENUS.bin
EDATA_FRCA.bin
PRG_INFO.MNG
UPDATE_APL.exe
UPDATE_APL_128M.exe

i bet your problem is related to the Opening.bmp not being updated. Let me know how it works out!

I'm having problems as well. I copied the files above, renamed by bmp to Opening1.bmp and ran the command with bysin.

It says updating and then brings me back to prompt. When I tried to update Opening.bmp it said Unable to find Opening.bmp on BIN.

av2600 do you know for sure Opening.bmp is part of the 09Jog2.bin and 09Touch2.bin? Nothing needs to be done to 09Jog.bin and 09Touch.bin?

Also when you are using imgburn to burn this cd (I'm assuming I can use a regular CDr rather then CDRW like it says in the other post). Which settings are you using in IMGBURN when burning??

Anyway from the CD I built, I did the update from diagnostics and everything was successful but it didn't take the new boot up screen.

_HRS 224712 224712 Opening1.bmp (ROM 0x817823a8)
_HRS 224712 224712 OpeningBase.bmp (ROM 0x817b9170)

these are the two files to replace in the bin's... not opening.bmp like i said earlier. Sorry to anyone who was confused by this
