this was from the previous owner. the first picture is right next to the rear view mirror, the second is next to the e-brake.

splice the larger plug into the back of your outlet and use it for a radar!

This is the ghetto way to do it...but this is how my radar detector and jaser jammer are hardwired.

Go to the fuse box on the drivers side to the left of the steering wheel. Its behind the kick panel.

Wire your pos (+) down to the fuse box, and find a fuse that is only active in the 2nd position on the ignition. I forgot what number fuse it is, but the cover has the names of what the fuses do on the inside of it.

(This is the ghetto part)
Wrap the (+) wire around the metal part of the fuse. Put the fuse back in. Then ground the negative wire to a bolt somewhere.

There are actual fuse taps you can buy somewhere, but i have no idea where.

If You do it that way, you risk of "wrapping" the positive wire onto the unfused side of the fuse....

Just use a fuse tap. I believe there are some DIYs on it in the garage

If you want to hardwire a radar detector (passport, escort, V1, beltronic), I recommend http://invisicord.com. There is DIY somewhere here on Azine with pictures that show how to tap it into a power cord in the overhead console. This how I have my Escort wired.

No need to even spend that money on the invisicord. For my STI Driver, used a regular four wire telephone cord (black color), cut one end off, used the Green wire as a ground, and the red wire as power. Only need those two wires...

Yeah that was it!
And there is another that I wired my laser jammer to...it was closer to the front of the car. Next to the sunroof fuse.
